Computer-aided process planning (CAPP) is an important interface between computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) in the computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) environment. A good process plan of a part is built up based on two elements: (1) optimized sequence of the operations of the part; and (2) optimized selection of the machine, cutting tool and tool access direction (TAD) for each operation. On the other hand, two levels of planning in the process planning is suggested: (1) preliminary and (2) secondary and detailed planning. In this paper for the preliminary stage, the feasible sequences of operations are generated based on the analysis of constraints and using a genetic algorithm (GA). Then in the detailed planning stage, using a genetic algorithm again which prunes the initial feasible sequences, the optimized operations sequence and the optimized selection of the machine, cutting tool, and TAD for each operation are obtained. By applying the proposed GA in two levels of planning, the CAPP system can generate optimal or near-optimal process plans based on a selected criterion. A number of case studies are carried out to demonstrate the feasibility and robustness of the proposed algorithm. This algorithm performs well on all the test problems, exceeding or matching the solution quality of the results reported in the literature for most problems. The main contribution of this work is to emerge the preliminary and detailed planning, implementation of compulsive and additive constraints, optimization sequence of the operations of the part, and optimization selection of machine, cutting tool and TAD for each operation using the proposed GA, simultaneously. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The hydrophobic polyether sulfone membranes were prepared by the sol-gel method to be applied in an air gap membrane distillation setup for desalination. The surface modifications were carried out using Trimethylsilyl chloride (TMSCl) and Methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) solutions. The membranes were characterized using Attenuated Total Reflection Infrared (ATR-IR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Optical Contact Angle (OCA) methods. The effects of membrane preparation as well as operating conditions such as temperature difference, salt concentration, feed rotation speed, and cold-side temperature on membrane performance were investigated using central composite design method. It was found that feed temperature has the largest effect among the parameters on the permeation flux. The flow rate and salt rejection of the membrane in the optimum conditions were 4.47 Kg m?2 h?1 and 99.37%, respectively. 相似文献

The main production mechanism during water flooding of naturally fractured oil reservoirs is the spontaneous imbibition of
water into matrix blocks and resultant displacement of oil into the fracture system. This is an efficient recovery process
when the matrix is strongly water-wet. However, in mixed- to oil-wet reservoirs, secondary recovery from water flooding is
often poor. Oil production can be improved by dissolving low concentrations of surfactants in the injected water. The surfactant
alters the wettability of the reservoir rock, enhancing the spontaneous imbibition process. Our previous study revealed that
the two main mechanisms responsible for the wettability alteration are ion-pair formation and adsorption of surfactant molecules
through interactions with the adsorbed crude oil components on the rock surface. Based on the superior performance of surfactin,
an anionic biosurfactant with two charged groups on the hydrophilic head, it was hypothesized that the wettability alteration
process might be further improved through the use of dimeric or gemini surfactants, which have two hydrophilic head groups
and two hydrophobic tails. We believe that when ion-pair formation is the dominant wettability alteration mechanism, wettability
alteration in oil-wet cores can be improved by increasing the charge density on the head group(s) of the surfactant molecule
since the ion-pair formation is driven by electrostatic interactions. At a concentration of 1.0 mmol L−1 a representative anionic gemini surfactant showed oil recoveries of up to 49% original oil-in-place (OOIP) from oil-wet sandstone
cores, compared to 6 and 27% for sodium laureth sulfate and surfactin, respectively. These observations are consistent with

The hot torsion test (HTT) has been extensively used to analyse and physically model the flow behaviour and microstructure evolution of materials and alloys during hot deformation processes. The geometry of the specimen is a key factor for obtaining reliable results. In the present work, a thermo‐rigid viscoplastic FE code, THORAX.FOR, was developed to describe the interaction of thermal‐mechanical conditions and geometries of the HTT specimens. This was used to recommend the conditions for avoiding flow localization during HTT of API‐X70 microalloyed steel. The simulation results show how an inappropriate choice of both test specimen geometry and twist rate of deformation could lead to a significant temperature raise in the middle of the gauge section and temperature gradient in the radial and longitudinal direction of the specimen. This consequently causes flow localization during the test. Therefore, assumptions of isothermal forming conditions or uniform strain softening may not be valid in many test scenarios. These assumptions could introduce significant errors in the post results of the test such as flow curve and interpretation of microstructure evolution. Recommendations on proper specimen geometry for a specified strain rate will be given to avoid flow localization during the hot torsion test. 相似文献

Large deflection of a cantilever beam subjected to a tip-concentrated load is governed by a non-linear differential equation. Since it is hard to find exact or closed-form solutions for this non-linear problem, this paper investigates the aforementioned problem via the differential transformation method (DTM) and the variational iteration method (VIM), which are well-known approximate analytical solutions. The mathematical formulation is yielded to a non-linear two-point boundary value problem. In this study, we compare the DTM and VIM results, with those of Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and the established numerical solution obtained by the Richardson extrapolation in order to verify the accuracy of the proposed methods. As an important result, it is depicted from tabulated data that the DTM results are more accurate in comparison with those obtained by the VIM and ADM, which is one of the objectives of this article. Moreover, the effects of dimensionless end point load, ??, on the slope of any point along the arc length and the dimensionless vertical and horizontal displacements are illustrated and explained. The results reveal that these methods are very effective and convenient in predicting the solution of such problems, and it is predicted that the DTM and VIM can find a wide application in new engineering problems. 相似文献

In this paper, a thick truncated hollow cone with finite length made of two-dimensional functionally graded materials (2D-FGM) subjected to combined loads as internal, external and axial pressure is considered. The volume fraction distribution of materials and geometry are assumed to be axisymmetric but not uniform along the axial direction. The Finite Element Method based on the Rayliegh-Ritz energy formulation is applied to obtain the elastic behavior of the functionally graded thick truncated cone. By using this method, the effects of semi-vertex angle of the cone and the power law exponents on the distribution of different types of displacements and stresses are considered. The results show that using 2D-FGM leads to a more flexible design so that both the maximum stresses and stress distribution can be controlled by the material distribution. 相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects on fat metabolism and Kupffer cell morphology by total parenteral nutrition (TPN) with two different fat emulsions. DESIGN: Thirty-two male Sprague-Dawley rats, divided into three groups, were investigated. Rats fed orally were used as a reference group, and a group of rats receiving TPN with fat emulsions containing pure long-chain triglycerides (LCT) was compared to a group of rats receiving fat emulsions containing both long-chain triglycerides and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT/LCT). The TPN regimens were equicaloric and administered continuously via a jugular catheter for 10 days. INTERVENTIONS: After suffocation, blood of the rats was collected for the determination of serum lipids. Epididymal fat and heart were collected for the analysis of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) activities, and liver specimens were saved for analyses of hepatic triglyceride concentration, as well as activities of hepatic lipase (HL) and lysosomal enzymes. Light and electron microscopy were used for examination of the Kupffer cell reaction. RESULTS: Directly after termination of parenteral feeding, the levels of serum triglycerides and high density lipoprotein (HDL) triglycerides were higher in the MCT/LCT group than in the LCT group, while no differences concerning cholesterol and phospholipid concentrations were found. No significant difference in liver steatosis was found between the two TPN groups. Comparison of the TPN groups showed that the MCT/ LCT group had significantly decreased LPL activity in adipose tissue, while the LCT group had significantly increased LPL activity in the heart. The activity of HL was low in both groups, but significantly lower in the LCT group. Lipid accumulation and an increased number of lysosomes were found in all Kupffer cell when TPN with LCTemulsions was used. Moreover, TPN induced a pronounced increase in various liver lysosomal enzyme activities, but there was no notable difference between LCT and MCT/LCT effects. CONCLUSIONS: Compared to treatment with pure LCTemulsions, treatment with MCT/LCT emulsions evoked weaker biochemical reactions in terms of lower activity of lipoprotein lipase in fat and heart together with higher serum and HDL triglyceride levels. Morphological signs of increased Kupffer cell activity such as the appearance of multiple lysosomes and fat vacuoles in the cytoplasm followed treatment with pure LCT emulsions. As reported before, the metabolic activity of nucleus basalis neurons is reduced significantly in Alzheimer patients. Because the apolipoprotein E (ApoE) epsilon4 genotype is a major risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD), we determined whether the decrease in metabolic activity in nucleus basalis neurons in AD is ApoE-type dependent. The size of the Golgi apparatus (GA) was determined as a measure of neuronal metabolic activity in 30 controls and 41 AD patients with a known ApoE genotype by using an image analysis system in the nucleus basalis of Meynert. A polyclonal antibody directed against MG-160, a sialoglycoprotein of the GA, was used to visualize this organelle. There was a very strong reduction in the size of the GA in the nucleus basalis of AD patients. Furthermore, a strong and significant extra reduction in the size of the GA was found in the nucleus basalis neurons of AD patients with either one or two ApoE epsilon4 alleles compared with Alzheimer patients without ApoE epsilon4 alleles. Our data show that the decreased activity of nucleus basalis neurons in AD is ApoE epsilon4 dependent and suggest that ApoE epsilon4 participates in the pathogenesis of AD by decreasing neuronal metabolism. 相似文献

In this research, the microstructure, tribological and corrosion properties of plasma nitrided-oxidized AISI 316 austenitic stainless steel at high oxidation temperature were studied and compared with conventional plasma nitride. The structural, tribological and corrosion properties were analyzed using XRD, SEM, microhardness testing, pin-on-disk tribotesting and electrochemical polarization. Plasma nitriding was conducted for 5 h at 450 °C with gas mixture of N2/H2 = 1/3 to produce the S-phase. The nitrided samples were post-oxidized at 500 °C with gas mixture of O2/H2 = 1/5 for 15, 30 and 60 min. X-ray diffraction confirmed the development of CrN, ? and γ′ nitride phases and magnetite (Fe3O4) oxide phase under plasma nitriding-oxidizing process. In addition, it was found that oxidation treatment after plasma nitriding provides an important improvement in the friction coefficient and the corrosion resistance. The optimized wear and corrosion resistance of post-oxidized samples were obtained after 15 min of oxidation. 相似文献
