In this paper, an optimal control technique for n-phase permanent-magnet (PM) machines under various open circuit faults is presented. Under the fault conditions, the currents in the healthy phases are controlled to compensate phase loss and to produce the required output torque. The proposed control technique ensures continuous operation of the machines while producing minimum torque ripples and minimum stator ohmic loss. The control technique is based on the instantaneous power balance theory. To set the summation of the phase currents equal to zero, a constraint is incorporated in the derivation of the control technique. A five-phase PM machine is considered to demonstrate the proposed open circuit fault-tolerant control strategy. Simulation and experimental results are provided for validation.  相似文献

Full replacement of sucrose with sorbitol is feasible in mango jam manufacturing. Dynamic rheological tests characterized mango jam manufactured with sucrose/sorbitol as a weak gel. Mango jam did not follow Cox-Merz or modified Cox-Merz rule. The storage- and loss- moduli increased with sucrose concentration up to 60%, but decreased at higher sucrose concentrations. Gel strength decreased with increasing sorbitol concentration because of weaker junction zones in pectin gel network. FTIR spectra revealed that C-O and C-C stretching vibrations are indicators of the gel strength because pectin polymeric chain network formation in fruit jam is due to hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions.  相似文献

The micro-powder injection molding (micro-PIM) process has the potential to bridge the gap between the design and manufacturing of micro-components that are often used in small and handy devices. Numerical modeling helps to analyze and overcome various difficulties of micro-PIM. In the present work, a numerical model is developed to predict the powder–binder separation (a common defect in PIM and especially severe in micro-PIM) during the injection of an alumina feedstock. A powder–binder separation criterion is proposed dealing with applied injection pressure and friction force between the powder and binder. An indirect comparison of feedstock travel time between two locations is used to validate the model. The predicted segregation from the simulated result is supported by a qualitative experimental measurement. The developed model can be used to optimize injection parameters to get a defect-free product.  相似文献

The goal of the work presented here was to develop a simulation approach for studying the effects of materials and geometry on the performance of Li‐ion Solid State Batteries (SSB). Simulation provides the opportunity to explore, with ease, different material properties and cell geometries to optimize a Li‐ion SSB's performance. Simulations shown in this paper are time‐dependent and consider electrochemical reaction, heat transfer, the diffusion of Li‐ions and electrons in the electrolyte, and solid Li diffusion in the positive electrode. A 2D model was simulated and the results shown. The simulations were able to show discharge curves, heat flux, the concentration of Li‐ions, electrons, and solid Li at any time in the discharge cycle. Unbalanced charge injection is deleterious for the performance of colloidal quantum dot (CQD) light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) as it deteriorates the quantum efficiency, brightness, and operational lifetime. CQD LEDs emitting in the infrared have previously achieved high quantum efficiencies but only when driven to emit in the low‐radiance regime. At higher radiance levels, required for practical applications, the efficiency decreased dramatically in view of the notorious efficiency droop. Here, a novel methodology is reported to regulate charge supply in multinary bandgap CQD composites that facilitates improved charge balance. The current approach is based on engineering the energetic potential landscape at the supra‐nanocrystalline level that has allowed to report short‐wave infrared PbS CQD LEDs with record‐high external quantum efficiency in excess of 8%, most importantly, at a radiance level of ≈5 W sr?1 m2, an order of magnitude higher than prior reports. Furthermore, the balanced charge injection and Auger recombination reduction has led to unprecedentedly high operational stability with radiance half‐life of 26 068 h at a radiance of 1 W sr?1 m?2.  相似文献

In this article, a novel omnidirectional compact dual band metamaterial‐inspired antenna with CPW feed has been proposed for application of GSM 1800 (1.71‐1.785 GHz/1.805‐1.879 GHz), GSM 1900 (1.85‐1.91 GHz/1.93‐1.99 GHz), UMTS (1.92‐2.17 GHz), WLAN/Wi Fi (4.9, 5, 5.9 GHz), HiperLAN1 (5.15‐5.3 GHz), and HiperLAN2 (5.47‐5.72 GHz) using a combination of meander line inductor and interdigital capacitor (IDC). The antenna consists of complimentary right/left handed (CRLH) transmission line on both sides of patch to excite zeroth order mode (n = 0). The rectangular slotted stubs act as a virtual ground for the structure using a short circuit condition at the end of the IDC. The zeroth order resonance (ZOR) frequency is mainly controlled by IDC and partially with the meander line inductor. The designed antenna operates from 1.72 to 2.22 GHz and 4.25 to 5.88 GHz with radiating size of 0.56λo × 0.35λo (32 × 20 mm2), where λo is the free‐space wavelength at ZOR frequency of 5.27 GHz. The proposed antenna offers measured impedance bandwidth (|S11| <?10 dB) of 25.3 and 18.7% at 1.95 and 5.28 GHz and covers the targeted frequency bands. The proposed structure offers omnidirectional radiation patterns are congruous throughout the working band.  相似文献
