Abstract— Thin‐film transistors (TFTs) are field‐effect transistors that can be used to create large‐scale‐integrated (LSI) circuits. The combination of high‐performance TFTs and transfer technology of the TFTs has the potential to foster the rise of a new flexible microelectronics industry. This paper discusses the current status of flexible microelectronics, using a TFT fingerprint sensor (FPS) as an example. Technology used in active‐matrix displays can easily be applied to the TFT FPS. TFT technology should not be confined to the display industry; its use should be expanded into the semiconductor industry. With the result presented in this paper, we declare a new era of flexible microelectronics open.  相似文献

We have developed a hydrogen sensor for in situ measurements of hydrogen activities in molten copper. The sensor consists of a concentration cell utilizing a proton conductor, CaZr0.9In0.1O3-δ, as the solid electrolyte. The electromotive force (emf) of the cell was generated by both hydrogen and oxygen activity gradients across the cell in a high-temperature region simulating the fire refining processes of copper. However, accurate hydrogen activity in molten copper could be evaluated from the emf if oxygen activity in molten copper was determined simultaneously by another concentration cell and if the hydrogen and the oxygen activities at the reference electrode were known. The performance of the sensor was studied under various conditions. The observed good response and reliability of the sensor show that it should be a powerful tool for improvement of the fire refining process of the molten copper. Theoretical treatment of the calculation of the emf of the concentration cells using a mixed ionic conductor, i.e., protonic and oxide ionic conductor, as solid electrolytes is also discussed briefly.  相似文献

Chemical states of fluorine in fluorosilicate glasses in the system MF2-MO-SiO2 (M = Ca, Sr and Ba; SiO2 content < 60 mol%) have been investigated by molecular dynamic (MD) simulations with a perfect ionic two-body potential. Comparison of the results with those derived by X-ray photoelectron spectra of the actual glasses demonstrates that MD simulations reproduce well the bonding states of fluorine in the systems as well as the formation of M-F clusters. The MD generated structure of imaginary glasses, or glasses not obtained by the conventional melt-quench technique, with 70 mol% SiO2 indicates that an acidic environment induces a greater amount of F---Si bonds. Their M-F pair correlation functions plotted against normalized M-F distances suggest that relative ion positions in the clusters are very similar.  相似文献

A yeast-like fungus Aureobasidium pullulans var. melanigenum strain ATCC 20524 produces an extracellular acidophilic endo-1,4-beta-xylanase with an optimum pH of 2.0 [Ohta et al., J. Biosci. Bioeng., 92, 262-270 (2001)]. The xynI cDNA encoding the precursor protein (XynI) was expressed in the methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris under the control of the alcohol oxidase I gene promoter. The 34 amino acid prepro-signal peptide of the A. pullulans XynI directed the efficient secretion of 178 mg of active xylanase per liter of the culture medium. The secretion level of the xylanase with its own signal peptide was comparable to that of the mature protein fused to the prepro leader from Saccharomyces cerevisiae alpha-mating factor and twofold higher than that of the mature protein fused to the pre-type signal peptide from P. pastoris acid phosphatase. The N-terminal amino acid sequence and the apparent M(r) of 24 kDa of the secreted recombinant protein indicated the native-like processing of the A. pullulans XynI signal sequence in P. pastoris. The three-dimensional model and mutational analysis of the xynI gene product showed that Asp-73 and Glu-157 residues located at the upper and lower edges of the active site cleft, respectively, play a significant role in its low pH optimum.  相似文献

In general, the stiffened plates consisting of steel plate elements are unavoidably accompanied by initial imperfections such as residual stresses and initial deflections, which have considerable effects on their ultimate strength. Therefore, it is needed for designing them to develop more rational method taking the ultimate strength influenced by initial imperfections into account rather than the conventional design method being on the basis of the linear elastic buckling theory.From this point of view, this study aims to evaluate rigorously the ultimate strength of orthogonally stiffened plate with initial imperfections under uniaxial in-plane compression. The elasto-plastic finite element method is applied to attain this purpose. By a happy combination of modal analytical technique and conventional finite element method, much reduction of the degree of freedom can be expected to be realized herewith. Some numerical calculations are performed by means of this rigorous method to examine the exactness of the analysis. Moreover, the numerical results are compared with the experimental ones.  相似文献

Three-dimensional (3-D) nanostructures of gold catalysts supported on TiO2 were analysed by electron holography and high-resolution electron microscopy. The contact angle of the gold particle on TiO2 tended to be >90 degrees in the case of gold particles with a size (height) of >4 nm and it tended to be <90 degrees for gold particles with a height of <2 nm. The change in morphology increases the perimeter at the Au/TiO2 interface as the particle size decreases. This change in 3-D structure should be attributed to a change in electronic structure at the interface. It was found that electron holography enabled 3-D analysis at the atomic level and was effective for analysing nanostructured particles.  相似文献

This article demonstrates the self-replication and self-organization phenomena based on a reaction–diffusion mechanism by computer simulation. The simulation model consists of a one-dimensional cell array. Each cell contains two kinds of chemical substances, activator u and inhibitor v, that can generate a reaction–diffusion wave, which is a spatial concentration pattern. The cells are supposed to be divided or deleted depending on the concentrations of chemical substances. We tried several kinds of diffusion coefficient in the model, and in some simulations, a self-replication process and a generating cell array with a metabolic process were observed. By applying the division rule and the apoptosis rule, cell arrays duplicate in two oscillating states, i.e., self-replication processes were observed. By applying a division rule and an annihilation rule, a cell array that has a stable length is generated by changing the cell components, i.e., generating a cell array by a metabolic process was observed. Surprisingly, these two phenomena are realized independently of the initial number of cells. A new approach to analyze HDD seeking acoustics is proposed. An acoustic transfer function was derived that has seeking current as input and seeking acoustics as response. The derivation and the advantage and limitation of this acoustic transfer function approach is discussed in details in this paper. HDD seeking acoustics is mainly determined by the seeking current spectrum and the mechanical design. The acoustics transfer function represents the mechanical design, and was used to diagnose trouble mechanical modes and to guide servo design to reduce specific seeking current frequency content. The acoustic transfer function approach also enables quick performance prediction of combination of different mechanical designs and seeking currents. Various HDDs with different seeking current profiles and mechanical designs were evaluated experimentally and numerically. Finally, a new seeking servo algorithm was evaluated, and good agreement was shown between the numerical prediction using the acoustics transfer function approach and the measured seeking acoustics.  相似文献
