The sulfidation and regeneration properties of lignite char-supported iron-based sorbent for coke oven gas (COG) desulfurization prepared by mechanical stirring (MS), ultrasonic assisted impregnation (UAI), and high pressure impregnation (HPI) were investigated in a fixed-bed reactor. During desulfurization, the effects of process parameters on sulfidation properties were studied systematically. The physical and chemical properties of the sorbents were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and BET surface area analysis. The results of desulfurization experiments showed that high pressure impregnation (HPI) enhanced the sulfidation properties of the sorbents at the breakthrough time for char-supported iron sorbents. HPI method also increased the surface area and pore volume of sorbents. Sulfur capacity of sorbents was enhanced with increasing sulfidation temperatures and reached its maximum value at 400 °C. It was observed that the presence of steam in coke oven gas can inhibit the desulfurization performance of sorbent. SO2 regeneration of sorbent resulted in formation of elemental sulfur. HPIF10 sorbent showed good stability during sulfide-regeneration cycles without changing its performance significantly. 相似文献

We designed and manufactured a polymeric system with combined hydrophilic–hydrophobic properties by loading gelatin nanoparticles (GNPs) containing bovine serum albumin (BSA) into poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) fibers. Our ultimate goal was to create a device capable of carrying and releasing protein drugs. Such a system could find several biomedical applications, such as those in controlled release systems, surgical sutures, and bioactive scaffolds for tissue engineering. A two‐step desolvation method was used to produce GNPs, whereas PCL fibers were produced by a dry‐spinning method. The morphological, mechanical, and thermal properties of the produced system were investigated, and the distribution of nanoparticles both inside and on the surface of the fibers was examined. The effect of the particles on the biodegradability of the fibers was also evaluated. In vitro preliminary tests were performed to study the release of BSA from nanoparticle‐laden fibers and to compare this with its release from free nanoparticles. Our results indicate that the distribution of particles inside the fibers was quite homogeneous and only a few of them were present on the surface. The presence of the particles in the fibers did not affect the thermal properties of the PCL polymer matrix, although it created voids that affected the degradation characteristics so the PCL fibers favored faster erosion compared to the plain fibers. Cu–Ni nanoparticles (NPs) thin films were prepared by Direct Current (DC) magnetron sputtering with Cu and Ni targets. The products were used as catalysts for Thermal CVD (TCVD) growing of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from acetylene gas at 825°C. In order to characterize the nano catalysts, X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and to study the synthesized CNTs Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Raman Spectroscopy were applied. A remarkable CNT grown on the sub-surface of catalyst layer compared to its top is deduced from SEM images. In this paper, the effect of horizontal bracing on enhancing the resistance of steel moment frames against progressive collapse is investigated. Previously designed 6 bay by 3 bay 18‐story steel frame prototype building with 6 m bay span (namely, unbraced frame), which was susceptible to progressive collapse, is retrofitted by four types of horizontal bracing systems on the perimeter of the topmost story and analyzed using 3D nonlinear dynamic method. Six different cross‐sections for each bracing system type are considered, and the capacity curves for each model are obtained. Three column removal circumstances, namely, Edge Short Column, First Edge Long Column, and Edge Long Column are considered in this paper. The results imply that horizontal bracing would increase the resistance of moment frames against progressive collapse. However, one of the bracing types in which axial compressive force is created in braces is not appropriate for retrofitting. 相似文献

This study aims to investigate how the predeposition machining processes such as magnetic grinding, turning machining, and wire electrical discharge machining can influence the surface properties including electrochemical and tribological behavior of TiCrN nanostructured coating applied on Mo40 steel substrate. A physical vapor deposition technique using cathodic arc evaporation was used to apply the coating. The crystallographic phases and the microstructure of the coating were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope, respectively. Rockwell-C, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization, and pin-on-disk wear tests were employed to evaluate the adhesion strength, corrosion behavior, and tribological property of specimens, respectively. The electrochemical results after 24 h of exposure to 3.5 wt% NaCl solution showed that TiCrN coating pretreated with a turning process with polarization resistance of about 3525.32 Ω.cm2 had the best corrosion resistance among all specimens. This was because of the improvement of the smoothness, surface quality, and adhesion after the turning process. On the other, the friction coefficient of the grounded sample is less than that of other ones. This is probably due to its higher adhesion strength and higher surface smoothness. 相似文献

We studied the optimization of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) removal from aqueous solution using the synthesized zero-valent iron nanoparticles stabilized with sepiolite clay (S-ZVIN), under various parameters such as reaction time (min), initial solution pH and concentration of S-ZVIN (g·L?1) using response surface methodology (RSM). The kinetic study of Cr(VI) was conducted using three types of the most commonly used kinetic models including pseudo zero-order, pseudo first-order, and pseudo second-order models. The rate of reduction reaction showed the best fit with the pseudo first-order kinetic model. The process optimization results revealed a high agreement between the experimental and the predicted data (R2=0.945, Adj-R2=0.890). The results of statistical analyses showed that reaction time was the most impressive factor influencing the efficiency of removal process. The optimum conditions for maximum response (98.15%) were achieved at the initial pH of 4.7, S-ZVIN concentration of 1.3 g·L?1 and the reaction time of 75 min. 相似文献

Adsorption of Pb(II) ion by a novel extractant-impregnated resin, EIR, was studied as a function of various experimental parameters using batch adsorption experiments. The new EIR was prepared by impregnating gallocyanine (GCN) onto Amberlite XAD-16 resin beads. The EIR was characterized by nitrogen analysis and SEM micrographs. The new EIR showed excellent selectivity factor values (α) for Pb(II) adsorption respect to other metal ions. The effects of some chemical and physical variables were evaluated and the optimum conditions were found for Pb(II) removal from aqueous solutions. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm was fitted with the Langmuir adsorption model. The maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) of EIR for Pb(II) ions was found to be 367.92 mg g−1. The kinetic studies showed that the intra-particle diffusion is the rate-controlling step. Also, the intra-particle diffusion coefficients, Dip values, were of the order of 10−12 m2 s−1. The values of enthalpy (ΔH°) were positive, which confirms the endothermic nature of adsorption process. Also, the positive entropy changes (ΔS°) were showed that the randomness increased along with the adsorption process. In addition, the obtained negative values of Gibbs free energy (ΔG°) indicated feasible and spontaneous nature of the adsorption process at different temperatures. The new adsorbent was very stable so that it can be successfully used for many consecutive cycles without significant loss in its adsorption capacity. 相似文献

miR-149 is an miRNA with essential roles in carcinogenesis. This miRNA is encoded by the MIR149 gene on 2q37.3. The miR-149 hairpin produces miR-149-5p and miR-149-3p, which are the “guide” and the sister “passenger” strands, respectively. Deep sequencing experiments have shown higher prevalence of miR-149-5p compared with miR-149-3p. Notably, both oncogenic and tumor suppressive roles have been reported for miR-149-5p. In this review, we summarize the impact of miR-149-5p in the tumorigenesis and elaborate mechanisms of its involvement in this process in a variety of neoplastic conditions based on three lines of evidence, i.e., in vitro, in vivo and clinical settings. 相似文献
