Interactive multi-modal suturing

We present a mechanics-based interactive multi-modal environment designed as part of a serious gaming platform. The specific objectives are to teach basic suturing and knotting techniques for simple skin or soft tissue wound closure. The pre-wound suturing target, skin, or deformable tissue is modeled as a modified mass-spring system. The suturing material is designed as a mechanics-based deformable linear object. Tools involved in a typical suturing procedures are also simulated. Collision management modules between the soft tissue and the needle, the soft tissue and the suture are analyzed. In addition to modeling the interactive environment of a typical suturing procedure, basics of the modeling approaches on the evaluation of a stitch formed by the user are also discussed. For example, if needle insertion points are too close from each other or to the edge of the wound, when the suture is pulled, the suture will tear the soft tissue instead of suturing the incision together. Experiment results show that our simulator can run on a standard personal computer and allow users to perform different suturing patterns with smooth graphics and haptic feedback.     

OpenCL: A Parallel Programming Standard for Heterogeneous Computing Systems

We provide an overview of the key architectural features of recent microprocessor designs and describe the programming model and abstractions provided by OpenCL, a new parallel programming standard targeting these architectures.     

Fault tolerant control design via hybrid petri nets

This paper proposes a novel fault tolerant control (FTC) scheme for hybrid systems modeled by hybrid Petri nets (HPNs). The HPNs model consists of discrete and continuous PNs. The faults are represented by unobservable discrete transitions or the normal observable discrete transitions with abnormal firing time in discrete PNs. First, an observer‐based fault diagnosis method is proposed to estimate the marking in discrete places with unknown initial marking and diagnose the faulty behavior simultaneously. Then, an adaptive fault tolerant controller is designed to maintain the general mutual exclusion constraints (GMEC) of discrete PNs, and a scheme that adjusts firing speeds of continuous transitions is provided to maintain the optimality of continuous PNs. Finally, an example of an intelligent transportation system consisting of automated vehicles on a bridge is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of our developed techniques. 基于混合总线的虚拟仪器教学实验系统设计

针对自动测试、虚拟仪器及总线设备类课程的试验设备不足,在VXI、GPIB及LXI混合总线的基础上构建了一个虚拟仪器教学实验系统,并以C#.NET结合虚拟仪器技术建立了整个系统的软件架构;介绍了该系统的硬件软件设计方法及其实现的关键技术;通过课程实践表明,该系统功能强且扩展性好,满足了实验的要求,节约了实验成本。     

基于可溯源技术水产养殖监控系统的设计

介绍了一种用于工厂化水产养殖场中的环境因子的监控系统设计,实现了对各关键环境参数的实时监测与控制,利用现场总线技术实现了监控网络的互连和数据的高效传输,并通过引入无线射频识别技术(RFID)从而实现水产品从生产、流通、消费全过程的可溯源功能;结果表明,溶解氧含量及控制精度,温度控制精度,氨氮含量控制范围,以及PH值控制范围,完全达到了设计要求,能够满足工厂化水产养殖的需要.     

虚拟仪器不确定度问题探讨

针对虚拟仪器迅速发展中不确定度难以评定的问题,分析了其不确定度的主要来源和评定遇到的主要问题,并提出了相应的解决方案。     

一种借助系统调用实现基于信息流的完整性度量的方法

提出一种借助系统调用实现基于信息流的完整性度量的方法。该方法将度量过程分为离线阶段和运行阶段。在离线阶段,软件执行的系统调用被监控和记录,结合系统调用和信息流的关系抽象出软件的信息流基准值。在运行阶段,分析软件运行时的系统调用信息,获得软件运行时的信息流,根据信息流基准值检查软件的信息流是否出现异常,度量软件的完整性。为了验证方法的可行性,文章以Apache服务器为例,实现该方法的原型系统。实验表明该方法能够发现软件运行时完整性被破坏而出现的异常信息流。     

一种改进的标记分水岭遥感图像分割方法

图像分割是图像分析和模式识别需要解决的首要问题和基本问题,也是图像处理的经典难题。分水岭变换则是一种适用于图像分割的强有力的形态学工具,然而其不足之处在于它的过分割结果。提出一种基于ISODATA聚类和标记分水岭的分割方案,该方案首先通过中值滤波来消除部分噪声;然后用ISODATA方法进行聚类,获得更明显的特征差异;接着采用Sobel算子进行梯度重建,得到具有边缘信息的简化图像;在此基础上再进行基于标记的分水岭变换。实验结果表明,该方法分割精度达到80%以上,能够较好地抑制过分割。     

基于STL文件的曲面网格重建算法

利用STL文件的数据相关性以及平衡二叉(AVL)树的数据搜索效率仅与树的高度相关的特性,提出一种高效的三角形曲面网格模型重建算法。该算法可以解决STL文件存在大量的冗余、使用效率不高等问题。实验结果证明,与基于AVL树的顶点快速聚合算法相比,该算法的重建效率更高。
