In the previous study, by the same authors, titled “A new process damping model (PDM) for chatter vibration (Measurement, 44 (8) (2011) 1342–1348)”, a new approach has been presented for obtaining process damping ratios (PDRs). This PDM has been constituted on the basis of the shear angle (φ)(φ) oscillations of the cutting tool and the alteration of the penetration forces when they penetrate into the wavy surface. Variation and quantity of PDR are predicted by reverse running analytical calculation procedure of traditional Stability Lobe Diagrams (SLDs). In this study, firstly, how the PDM in previous study results with different materials such as AISI-1050 and Al-7075 are examined. Then, two problems are solved: how much of the total PDR of cutting system is caused by the tool penetration and how much is caused by (φ)(φ) oscillation? Finally, verification of PDR values and PDM are performed by energy equations.  相似文献

Network-on-Chip (NoC) is a newly introduced paradigm to overcome the communication problems of System-on-Chip architectures. Mapping applications onto mesh-based NoC architecture is an NP-hard problem and several heuristic methods have been presented to solve it so far. Scalability is the main problem of the heuristic methods and it is very difficult to conclude that one heuristic is better than the others. Integer Linear Programming (ILP) based methods determine the optimum mappings. However, they take very long execution times. In this paper, we propose a clustering based relaxation for ILP formulations. Our experiments conducted on several multimedia benchmarks and custom graphs show that the proposed method obtains optimal or close to optimal results within tolerable time limits.  相似文献

A nonlinear modeling study was carried out to evaluate the performance of UASB reactors treating poultry manure wastewater under different organic and hydraulic loading conditions. Two identical pilot scale up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactors (15.7 L) were run at mesophilic conditions (30-35 degrees C) in a temperature-controlled environment with three hydraulic retention times (theta) of 15.7, 12 and 8.0 days. Imposed volumetric organic loading rates (L(V)) ranged from 0.65 to 4.257 kg COD/(m(3) day). The pH of the feed varied between 6.68 and 7.82. The hydraulic loading rates (L(H)) were controlled between 0.105 and 0.21 m(3)/(m(2)day). The daily biogas production rates ranged between 4.2 and 29.4 L/day. High volumetric COD removal rates (R(V)) ranging from 0.546 to 3.779 kg COD(removed)/(m(3)day) were achieved. On the basis of experimental results, two empirical models having a satisfactory correlation coefficient of about 0.9954 and 0.9416 were developed to predict daily biogas production (Q(g)) and effluent COD concentration (S(e)), respectively. Findings of this modeling study showed that optimal COD removals ranging from 86.3% to 90.6% were predicted with HRTs of 7.9, 9.5, 11.2, 12.6, 13.7 and 14.3 days, and L(V) of 1.27, 1.58, 1.78, 1.99, 2.20 and 2.45 kg COD/(m(3)day) for the corresponding influent substrate concentrations (S(i)) of 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, 30,000 and 35,000 mg/L, respectively.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of online piecewise linear regression for big data applications. We introduce an algorithm, which sequentially achieves the performance of the best piecewise linear (affine) model with optimal partition of the space of the regressor vectors in an individual sequence manner. To this end, our algorithm constructs a class of \(2^D\) sequential piecewise linear models over a set of partitions of the regressor space and efficiently combines them in the mixture-of-experts setting. We show that the algorithm is highly efficient with computational complexity of only \(O(mD^2)\), where m is the dimension of the regressor vectors. This efficient computational complexity is achieved by efficiently representing all of the \(2^D\) models using a “lexicographical splitting graph.” We analyze the performance of our algorithm without any statistical assumptions, i.e., our results are guaranteed to hold. Furthermore, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm over the well-known data sets in the machine learning literature with computational complexity fraction of the state of the art.  相似文献

This paper deals with the comparison of measured and calculated results of cutting force components and temperature variation generated on the tool tip in turning for different cutting parameters and different tools having various tool geometries while machining AISI 1040 steel hardened at HRc 40. The geometric variables (approaching angle and rake angle) of the tool were changed using selected cutting parameters; thus, the cutting force components and temperature variations on tool face (in secondary shear zone) were determined. The selected cutting variables and the tools in different geometries were tested practically under workshop conditions. In this way, the essential information about the validity of selected values was obtained. During the tests, the depth of cut and cutting speed were kept constant and each test was conducted with a sharp uncoated tool insert. For making a comparison, the main cutting force/tangential force component for different cutting parameters and tool geometries were calculated by Kienzle approach and the temperature values were calculated based on orthogonal cutting mechanism. Finally, the effects of cutting parameters and tool geometry on cutting forces and tool tip temperature were analysed. The average deviation between measured and calculated force results were found as 0.37%. The cutting force signals and temperature values provided extensive data to analyse the orthogonal cutting process.  相似文献

The determination of fluorine in milk samples via the molecular absorption of calcium mono-fluoride (CaF) was performed using a HR-CS-ETAAS. For this purpose, calcium was pipetted to graphite furnace together with samples. The amount of Ca and the graphite furnace program were optimised. Fluorine was determined in pyrolytically coated platforms at 606.440 nm applying a pyrolysis temperature of 700 °C and a molecule forming temperature of 2250 °C. Finally, applying standard addition technique, F contents of several milk samples were determined. The results obtained by linear calibration and standard addition techniques were significantly different which can be attributed to non-spectral interferences in milk due to matrix concomitants. Therefore, in order to tolerate the errors, the F contents of several milk samples were determined applying standard addition technique. However, since the ingredients of milk samples change for different kinds, the F in each sample was determined from its own standard addition curve. The range of F content for the milk samples were 0.027–0.543 μg mL−1. The limit of detection and characteristic mass of the method were 0.26 and 0.13 ng of F, respectively.  相似文献

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) supplementation has been shown to improve diastolic heart function in various patient cohorts. Systolic and diastolic dysfunctions are common in patients with end‐stage renal disease. Favorable effects of CoQ10 on cardiac functions are yet to be seen in hemodialysis patients. We aimed to evaluate effect of CoQ10 supplementation on diastolic function in a cohort of maintenance hemodialysis patients. This was a prospective, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled, crossover study in which all patients received placebo and oral CoQ10 200 mg/d during the 8 weeks in each phase, with a 4‐week washout period. Participants underwent conventional and tissue Doppler echocardiography before and after each study phase. Parameters characterizing left ventricle diastolic function and other standard echocardiographic measurements were recorded. Twenty‐eight patients were randomized, but 22 patients completed study protocol. Intraventricular septum (IVS) thickness and left ventricle mass were significantly decreased in CoQ10 group (P = 0.03 and P = 0.01, respectively). Myocardial peak systolic and early diastolic velocities derived from IVS were significantly increased (P = 0.048 and P = 0.04, respectively). Isovolumetric relaxation time and E/Em ratio calculated for IVS also significantly reduced in CoQ10 group (p = 0.02 and p = 0.04, respectively). There was no significant difference in any of the studied echocardiographic parameters in placebo group. The results of this study showed that CoQ10 supplementation did not significantly improved diastolic heart functions compared with placebo in maintenance hemodialysis patients.  相似文献

In this study the results of a laboratory based investigation to determine the effectiveness of Moringa oleifera seeds as a flocculant for activated sludge treatment are presented. Waste sludge samples are activated sludge from Taman Dr. Tun. Ismail Activated Sludge Wastewater Treatment plant, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Moringa oleifera seed was applied as dry powder (shelled blended), solution (shelled blended), and solution (shelled blended oil extracted). Results of vacuum filtration studies showed that residual sludge volume of up to 11%, 20% and 45% for shelled blended oil extracted, shelled blended, and control (no Moringa applied), respectively, was achievable. Sludge volume reduction of up to 67% was achievable using gravity settling for shelled blended solution and 48% for shelled blended oil extracted respectively compared to the control. The shelled blended category applied in powder form performed the same as the solution of shelled blended but performed better than the shelled blended oil extracted category in gravity settling. The specific cake resistance of sludge treated with shelled blended Moringa oleifera averaged 2.5 x 1012m/kg at 4000mg/l dosage. Vegetable oil from the shelled Moringa oleifera of up to 30% was obtained as a by product.  相似文献

We report on the visible light-driven hydrogen production from splitting of water molecules by nitrogen-doped TiO2 (N-TiO2) with a rice grain-like nanostructure morphology. The N-TiO2 nanostructures are prepared using sol-gel and electrospinning methods followed by post-annealing of the composite nanofibers. The nanostructures are characterized by microscopy and spectroscopy. First order rate constants for the visible light-assisted photocatalysis in the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye are found to be 0.2 × 10−3 and 1.8 × 10−3 min−1 for TiO2 and N-TiO2 (5 wt% of nitrogen), respectively. The N-TiO2 utilized in water splitting experiments and evaluated hydrogen (H2) of 28 and 2 μmol/h for N-TiO2 and TiO2, respectively. The improvement may be attributed due to the N-doping and higher surface area as ∼70 m2/g.  相似文献

Adhesion is an important aspect in the reliability of coated components. With low-adhesion of interfaces, different crack paths may develop depending on the local stress field at the interface and the fracture toughness of the coating, substrate, and interface. In the current study, an attempt has been made to identify the delamination failure of coated Cr-based steels by boronizing. For this reason, two commonly used steels (AISI H13, AISI 304) are considered. The steels contain 5.3 and 18.3 wt.% Cr, respectively. Boriding treatment is carried out in a slurry salt bath consisting of borax, boric acid, and ferrosilicon at a temperature range of 800–950 °C for 3, 5, and 7 h. The general properties of the boron coating are obtained by mechanical and metallographic characterization tests. For identification of coating layer failure, some fracture toughness tests and the Daimler-Benz Rockwell-C adhesion test are used.  相似文献
