Bacterial strain B-9 possesses hydrolytic enzymes capable of degrading microcystins (MCs) and nodularin that are toxic cyclic peptides produced by cyanobacteria. In the present study, the degradation activities of the cell extract of B-9 against non-toxic cyanobacterial cyclic peptides other than the MCs and nodularin were investigated, and the degradation products were analyzed by liquid chromatography/ion trap tandem mass spectrometry (LC/ITMS). It was confirmed that B-9 could also degrade these cyanobacterial cyclic peptides by hydrolysis of their peptide bonds. These results indicated that this bacterium possesses a very unique hydrolytic activity that can degrade structurally different cyclic peptides and that this may be effective for the detoxification of hazardous cyclic peptides.  相似文献

Long-span single-mode fibre transmission experiments at 1.3 ?m have been refined toward higher digit rate and longer fibre span. Error-rate against receiving optical level characteristics showed that optical power penalties at 100 Mbit/s, 1.2 Gbit/s and 1.6 Gbit/s are negligible, even after 30 km, 23 km and 13 km fibre transmission, respectively.  相似文献

Monolayers of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have attracted a great interest for post‐silicon electronics and photonics due to their high carrier mobility, tunable bandgap, and atom‐thick 2D structure. With the analogy to conventional silicon electronics, establishing a method to convert TMDC to p‐ and n‐type semiconductors is essential for various device applications, such as complementary metal‐oxide‐semiconductor (CMOS) circuits and photovoltaics. Here, a successful control of the electrical polarity of monolayer WSe2 is demonstrated by chemical doping. Two different molecules, 4‐nitrobenzenediazonium tetrafluoroborate and diethylenetriamine, are utilized to convert ambipolar WSe2 field‐effect transistors (FETs) to p‐ and n‐type, respectively. Moreover, the chemically doped WSe2 show increased effective carrier mobilities of 82 and 25 cm2 V?1s?1 for holes and electrons, respectively, which are much higher than those of the pristine WSe2. The doping effects are studied by photoluminescence, Raman, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and density functional theory. Chemically tuned WSe2 FETs are integrated into CMOS inverters, exhibiting extremely low power consumption ( ≈ 0.17 nW). Furthermore, a p‐n junction within single WSe2 grain is realized via spatially controlled chemical doping. The chemical doping method for controlling the transport properties of WSe2 will contribute to the development of TMDC‐based advanced electronics.  相似文献

The development of a new methodology for visualizing and detecting gases is imperative for various applications. Here, we report a novel strategy in which gas molecules are detected by signals from a reporter guest that can read out a host structural transformation. A composite between a flexible porous coordination polymer and fluorescent reporter distyrylbenzene (DSB) selectively adsorbed CO? over other atmospheric gases. This adsorption induced a host transformation, which was accompanied by conformational variations of the included DSB. This read-out process resulted in a critical change in DSB fluorescence at a specific threshold pressure. The composite shows different fluorescence responses to CO? and acetylene, compounds that have similar physicochemical properties. Our system showed, for the first time, that fluorescent molecules can detect gases without any chemical interaction or energy transfer. The host-guest coupled transformations play a pivotal role in converting the gas adsorption events into detectable output signals.  相似文献

The 2005 Fukuoka-ken Seiho-oki earthquake caused damage to structures due to liquefaction, slope failure and strong shaking in Fukuoka City. One of the authors had conducted microzonation for liquefaction, slope failure and strong shaking about 17 years before the earthquake. After the earthquake, the authors compared the zoning map with the actual damage. The results showed that liquefied sites coincided fairly well with predicted zones in the reclaimed lands. However, they were slightly different in a big sand spit named Uminonakamichi. Failure occurred at several slopes inside the predicted areas, while damage to buildings occurred due to strong shaking along the Kego Fault. The damaged area was slightly different from the predicted area. Furthermore, a liquefaction analysis was conducted and the results of this analysis were compared with the results of microzonation in 1988. In this paper, the authors discuss the validity of microzonation based on this comparison.  相似文献

A low-cost and simple on-site technique for genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) was developed. The technique is based on allele-specific primer PCR and the recently developed bead arrays in a single tip technique. Phase relationship of a BaO-ZrO2-YO1.5 system at 1500 and 1600 °C was examined in order to determine whether a phase separation at the composition of 15% yttrium-doped barium zirconate exists. According to a pseudoternary phase diagram of the BaO-ZrO2-YO1.5 system established by this work, the solubility of yttria into cubic barium zirconate at 1600 °C is 0.25 in a mole fraction of yttria (X\textYO1.5 ) (X_{{{\text{YO}}_{1.5} }} ) . Thus, we confirmed that there is no phase separation at the composition of 15% yttrium-doped barium zirconate at 1600 °C. On the other hand, at 1500 °C, there might be a phase separation at the composition of 15% yttrium-doped barium zirconate into yttrium-doped barium zirconate where quite small amount of yttrium is doped and a new phase whose composition is close to reported BZ(II) phase.  相似文献

This paper describes an unusual behavior detection system based on an omnidirectional vision sensor, as one of the important elements in realizing “Sensing and Robotic Support Rooms” for elderly people. Such support rooms are expected to be further developed in the future with advanced abilities to automatically recognize elderly people's actions and behavior patterns, to detect unusual patterns by using sensors, and to support their daily motions by using robotic manipulator control systems. The proposed monitoring system using an omnidirectional vision sensor automatically learns daily behavior patterns and detects unusual behavior patterns and actions by using the Bayesian network approach. The Bayesian network is constructed by using image feature values such as area and center‐of‐gravity values extracted from a captured image sequence, and the respective behavior patterns are represented as conditional probabilities. Unusual behavior patterns can be automatically detected on the basis of the low generation probability values. Experiments based on the investigation of elderly people's typical daily behavior patterns have shown the effectiveness of the proposed system. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Flow cytometry (FCM) and aerobic plate count (APC) by the culture method were performed on green tea samples spiked with Escherichia coli type strain NCTC9001 (ATCC11775) solutions of different concentrations. In FCM, fluorescence signals from multiple stained bacteria and other fluorophores are detected using detector channels, and recorded as events with a voltage at each channel. FCM data were analyzed in two ways: conventional and multivariate analysis. In the former, the number of events with voltages larger than the defined threshold values was regarded as the predicted APC. In the latter, voltage histograms of all channels were obtained and merged horizontally to serve as explanatory variables. Then a partial least squares regression (PLSR) model was built to predict APC from the histogram data. The coefficient of determination (R2) and the root mean square error (RMSE) between APC by the culture method and that predicted by conventional FCM were 0.916 and 1.08 cfu/ml2. The APC values predicted by the PLSR model and those measured were in good agreement with R2 of 0.982 and RMSE of 0.417 cfu/ml, which verified the potential of the proposed method for improving APC prediction accuracy by FCM.  相似文献

Field Association (FA) Terms—words or phrases that serve to identify document fields are effective in document classification, similar file retrieval and passage retrieval. But the problem lies in the lack of an effective method to extract and select relevant FA Terms to build a comprehensive dictionary of FA Terms. This paper presents a new method to extract, select and rank FA Terms from domain-specific corpora using part-of-speech (POS) pattern rules, corpora comparison and modified tf-idf weighting. Experimental evaluation on 21 fields using 306 MB of domain-specific corpora obtained from English Wikipedia dumps selected up to 2,517 FA Terms (single and compound) per field at precision and recall of 74–97 and 65–98. This is better than the traditional methods. The FA Terms dictionary constructed using this method achieved an average accuracy of 97.6% in identifying the fields of 10,077 test documents collected from Wikipedia, Reuters RCV1 corpus and 20 Newsgroup data set.  相似文献
