By performing exact quantum Monte Carlo simulations, we study the momentum distribution of the supersolid state in the two-dimensional extended Bose-Hubbard model with the nearest-neighbor repulsion. For strong nearest-neighbor repulsions, the supersolid state is stable in a broad region up to large hopping amplitudes and high particle densities. In the supersolid state, the momentum distribution shows a bimodal structure with two peaks related to the superfluidity and solidity respectively. By our calculations, we show that the bimodal structure becomes clearer as the chemical potential (or the particle density) is increased.  相似文献

Brown algae contain soluble polysaccharides, such as alginic acid, fucoidan and laminaran. To assess the induction of dietary fiber-fermenting bacteria in the intestine, rats were fed diet containing no dietary fiber (control) or 2% w/w of the polysaccharides for 2 weeks. The levels of dietary fiber-fermenting bacteria in caecal contents were determined using decimal dilution culture containing 1% w/v of the fibers. Caecal microbiota in the rats was analyzed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). In the culture method, 4–9 log viable cells/g caecal content of alginate-fermenting bacteria was detected in rats fed alginate, while this was not detected in rats fed the control diet. Although laminaran-fermenting bacteria were detected in control rats (4–9 log viable cells/g), the level observed in rats fed laminaran was 8 or 9 log viable cells/g. On the other hand, fucoidan-fermenting bacteria were not detected in rats fed fucoidan. DGGE analysis showed laminaran administration increased the diversity of bacterial bands. Clostridium spp. and Parabacteroides distasonis were detected as typical species in rats fed alginate and laminaran. The results indicate that the intake of soluble fermentable fibers in edible brown algae can alter the intestinal microbiota and its fermentation capacity.  相似文献

The physicochemical properties of starches of six different root and tuber crop species grown mainly in Sri Lanka showed significant differences among the tested crop species and varieties. The median granule size of starch of tested root and tuber crop species varied from 33.5 to 10.2 μm. The largest granule size and the highest blue value were given by the canna, Buthsarana, and yam species, in that order. The amylose content of cassava was higher than those of sweet potato and many yams. High peak viscosities, high breakdown, and high final viscosities were observed in yams, and, generally, such starch showed a high swelling power. According to the correlation analysis, these pasting properties would mainly be due to their larger starch granule size. Based on the thermal properties, cassava starch showed less energy requirement for gelatinization and thus gelatinized at lower temperatures. Furthermore, a higher susceptibility of raw cassava starch toward fungal glucoamylase was observed. The low enzyme digestibility of raw yam starch would be due to its large granules. Correlation analysis showed that the blue value and starch granule size were important in determining the pasting, thermal, and other properties of starch.  相似文献

The kinetics of the membrane current during the anomalous or inward-going rectification of the K current in the egg cell membrane of the starfish Mediaster aequalis were analyzed by voltage clamp. The rectification has instantaneous and time-dependent components. The time-dependent increase in the K conductance for the negative voltage pulse as well as the decrease in the conductance for the positive pulse follows first-order kinetics. The steady-state conductance increases as the membrane potential becomes more negative and reaches the saturation value at about -40 mV more negative than the K equilibrium potential, V(K). The entire K conductance can be expressed by g(K).n; g g(K) represents the component for the time-independent conductance which depends on V-V(K) and [K+]o, and n is a dimensionless number (1 is greater than or equal to n is greater than or equal to 0) and determined by two rate constants which depend only on V-V(K). Cs+ does not carry any significant current through the K channel but blocks the channel at low concentration in the external medium. The blocking effect increases as the membrane potential is made more negative and the potential-dependent blocking by the external Cs+ also has instantaneous and time-dependent components.  相似文献

The thermophysical properties of reconstituted whole milk, skim milk, and whey were measured at various temperatures and concentrations. A new method for the simultaneous determination of thermophysical properties using a modified version of current probe theory method was proposed. Two new correction coefficients were introduced, and using the values of these coefficients and an approximate solution of the heat conduction equation, the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of each sample were determined. The specific heat of each sample was estimated from the definition of thermal diffusivity. These properties were expressed as a function of concentration and temperature.  相似文献

Factors that affect the efficiency of in vitro synthesis of mutant proteins that contain nonnatural amino acids were investigated. The process of the nonnatural mutagenesis consists of chemical aminoacylation of a tRNA that contains a 4-base anticodon, followed by in vitro synthesis in the presence of an mRNA that contains the corresponding 4-base codon. Detailed studies on the time courses of the synthesis revealed two major factors that suppress the yield of nonnatural mutants compared with the wild-type protein. First, a cyclic tRNA that exists as a by-product of the chemical aminoacylation inhibits the protein synthesis. Second, the very short lifetime of a tRNA aminoacylated with a nonnatural amino acid limits the protein yield. As a simple and practical way of surmounting these factors, aminoacyl tRNA was added into the in vitro system at 5 min after the start of the synthesis. The addition increased the protein yield up to the level of conventional proteins in the in vitro system.  相似文献
