High-performance artificial synaptic devices are indispensable for developing neuromorphic computing systems with high energy efficiency. However, the reliability and variability issues of existing devices such as nonlinear and asymmetric weight update are the major hurdles in their practical applications for energy-efficient neuromorphic computing. Here, a two-terminal floating-gate memory (2TFGM) based artificial synapse built from all-2D van der Waals materials is reported. The 2TFGM synaptic device exhibits excellent linear and symmetric weight update characteristics with high reliability and tunability. In particular, the high linearity and symmetric synaptic weight realized by simple programming with identical pulses can eliminate the additional latency and power consumption caused by the peripheral circuit design and achieve an ultralow energy consumption for the synapses in the neural network implementation. A large number of states up to ≈3000, high switching speed of 40 ns and low energy consumption of 18 fJ for a single pulse have been demonstrated experimentally. A high classification accuracy up to 97.7% (close to the software baseline of 98%) has been achieved in the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST) simulations based on the experimental data. These results demonstrate the potential of all-2D 2TFGM for high-speed and low-power neuromorphic computing.  相似文献

We studied the transmission characteristics of hybrid modes in a corrugated circular waveguide above the Bragg frequency to develop a broad-band transmission line for millimeter waves. Millimeter waves at 294 GHz were transmitted into a straight waveguide. From observed power profiles in waveguide cross-sections, a high attenuation rate of 0.13 dB/m was obtained. To match a theoretical attenuation constant with the experimental one, we introduced an ad hoc coefficient of conventional surface reactance in the waveguide wall. This was necessary because the wall began to look like the surface with a decreasing anisotropic reactance owing to the frequency above the Bragg frequency. Using nonlinear optimization for mode content analysis, the observed power profiles in the waveguide cross-section were matched with theoretical profiles. There was good agreement between the calculated and observed centers of power profiles and attenuation rate along the waveguide. The theoretical analysis showed that the magnetic field at the waveguide wall increases and the substantial attenuation takes place. Above the Bragg frequency coupling to backwards propagating modes is a point of consideration. A combination of the backwards propagating EH1,26 and the forward propagating HE11 modes satisfied the Bragg condition at 294.7 GHz which was the nearest frequency of operating frequency. A strong attenuation of the incoming HE11 mode by Bragg resonance was not expected due to large difference of 0.7 GHz. It becomes clear that the observed high transmission loss outside of the Bragg resonance can be explained by a decrease in anisotropic surface reactance at the wall.  相似文献

By using first-principles cluster calculations, we identified that Ta or W substitution for V is useful for decreasing the lattice thermal conductivity of the Fe2VAl Heusler alloy without greatly affecting the electron transport properties. It was clearly confirmed that the Fe2(V1?x Ta x )Al0.95Si0.05 (x?=?0, 0.025, 0.05), Fe2(V0.9?x Ta x Ti0.1)Al (x?=?0, 0.10, 0.20), and Fe2(V0.9?2x W x Ti0.1+x )Al (x?=?0, 0.05, 0.10) alloys indeed possessed large Seebeck coefficient regardless of the amounts of substituted elements, while their lattice thermal conductivity was effectively reduced. As a result of partial substitution of Ta for V, we succeeded in increasing the magnitude of the dimensionless figure of merit of the Heusler phase up to 0.2, which is five times as large as the Ta-free compound.  相似文献

A method for dispersing dry particles in a liquid is described. The method involves coating large carrier particles with fine particles. When two types of particles having different sizes are mixed in dry conditions, the particles adhere to one another, and the large particles become coated with small particles. When the large core particles are coated with a mono-layer of small particles, further agglomeration is inhibited. Because the single small particles generated by the disruption adhere to the core particles, we presumed that, if the small particles that are adhered to large particles could be separated from the large particles by a sonication in a liquid, the dry fine particles could be dispersed in a liquid.The dispersion experiments conducted using spherical silica particles having a count median diameter Dp50 of 74 nm as small particles and spherical glass beads as large particles. In this situation, the large particles carry the small particles from a dry condition into a liquid. We refer to the large particles as carrier particles. The experiments revealed that the proposed dispersion procedure results in a superior product, compared to sonication only. The effect of carrier size on dispersion performance is also investigated. The findings indicate and an optimum carrier size exists. Observations of the carrier particle surfaces after dry mixing indicate that the optimum condition is the condition at which a mono-layer of Silica particles is formed.  相似文献

We propose new solutions for expanding the linear signal range between the laser frequency deviation (or mirror position) and the voltage signal derived by the Pound-Drever-Hall (PDH) method for optical Fabry-Perot cavity resonance control. One solution is to perform not in-phase demodulation but near-Q-phase demodulation. Another solution is to take a suitable combination of signals demodulated by odd-harmonic modulation frequencies in the in phase. Although the PDH signal sensitivity will be diminished, the PDH signal linear range can be extended. From a practical standpoint, it is desirable that a sideband frequency for the PDH method is near the FP cavity resonance.  相似文献

We propose new strategy to facilitate the fabrication of conjugated polymer fiber with higher oriented structures, which focused on electrospinning of a blend solution of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (rr-P3HT) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP). SEM observation revealed that the blend system forms homogeneous composite nanofibers. This system exhibits the specific feature of strong interchain contribution of P3HT from UV-vis absorption, fluorescence spectroscopic, XRD, and photoelectron spectrometric (for HOMO levels) investigations. We also demonstrate the removal of the PVP component from the P3HT/PVP composite fibers through the selective extraction and such strong interchain stacking of pristine P3HT fiber mat can be remarkably maintained.  相似文献

Brown algae contain soluble polysaccharides, such as alginic acid, fucoidan and laminaran. To assess the induction of dietary fiber-fermenting bacteria in the intestine, rats were fed diet containing no dietary fiber (control) or 2% w/w of the polysaccharides for 2 weeks. The levels of dietary fiber-fermenting bacteria in caecal contents were determined using decimal dilution culture containing 1% w/v of the fibers. Caecal microbiota in the rats was analyzed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). In the culture method, 4–9 log viable cells/g caecal content of alginate-fermenting bacteria was detected in rats fed alginate, while this was not detected in rats fed the control diet. Although laminaran-fermenting bacteria were detected in control rats (4–9 log viable cells/g), the level observed in rats fed laminaran was 8 or 9 log viable cells/g. On the other hand, fucoidan-fermenting bacteria were not detected in rats fed fucoidan. DGGE analysis showed laminaran administration increased the diversity of bacterial bands. Clostridium spp. and Parabacteroides distasonis were detected as typical species in rats fed alginate and laminaran. The results indicate that the intake of soluble fermentable fibers in edible brown algae can alter the intestinal microbiota and its fermentation capacity.  相似文献

Investigations of the validity of labeling regarding genetically modified (GM) products were conducted using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods for foreign-made processed foods made from corn and potato purchased in the Tokyo area and in the USA. Several kinds of GM crops were detected in 12 of 32 samples of processed corn samples. More than two GM events for which safety reviews have been completed in Japan were simultaneously detected in 10 samples. GM events MON810 and Bt11 were most frequently detected in the samples by qualitative PCR methods. MON810 was detected in 11 of the 12 samples, and Bt11 was detected in 6 of the 12 samples. In addition, Roundup Ready soy was detected in one of the 12 samples. On the other hand, CBH351, for which the safety assessment was withdrawn in Japan, was not detected in any of the 12 samples. A trial quantitative analysis was performed on six of the GM maize qualitatively positive samples. The estimated amounts of GM maize in these samples ranged from 0.2 to 2.8%, except for one sample, which contained 24.1%. For this sample, the total amount found by event-specific quantitative analysis was 23.8%. Additionally, Roundup Ready soy was detected in one sample of 21 potato-processed foods, although GM potatoes were not detected in any sample.  相似文献

Sweet enhancing effect of neohesperidin dihydrochalcone (NHDC) or cyclamate has been reported to be synergistic in human sensory tests. However, little is known about whether these synergisms are caused by the mechanism mediated by the human sweet-taste receptor. Here, we examined the sweetness intensity of sweet tastant mixtures by measuring the responses of cultured cells stably expressing the human sweet-taste receptor. The results showed that the cell response to sucrose was synergistically potentiated by the addition of NHDC or cyclamate. Moreover, a point mutation in the transmembrane domain of hT1R3 almost completely eliminated the enhancing effects of NHDC and cyclamate. These results suggest that ligand–receptor interactions in the transmembrane domain of hT1R3 are necessary for NHDC and cyclamate to elicit the synergistic potentiation of the receptor activation. Our results may provide the foundation of a molecular basis for receptor-based synergisms of sweet tastes in mixtures of diverse sweet substances.  相似文献
