The correct operation of time-triggered protocols highly depends on the well-synchronized clocks of the system. To maintain the global time, one strict constraint must be exerted on communication activities (e.g. temporal padding and sparse time base etc.), which not only increases complexity of the protocol design but also incurs a penalty in the network utilization. While for event-triggered protocols, it is difficult to achieve the real-time requirement and determinism. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the combination of the advantages of these two categories of protocol for applications in different scenarios. This paper proposes the Safe Node Sequence Protocol (SNSP), which is a variant of full time-triggered protocol TTP/C. In SNSP, a strict node sequence is defined and the order of communication events is established by this pre-configured order without binding to global time, so the protocol changes communication activities and error detection to an event-triggered model. Therefore, SNSP possesses the characteristics of both time-triggered and event-triggered model. Also, the potential impact of global time, such as byzantine clock failure, on the protocol is eliminated. At the same time, the formal verification of SNSP is much easier in the absence of global time. Moreover, we model the protocol and use formal checker SPIN to validate the basic fault-tolerant requirement of SNSP. In the execution of material handling, the mobile manipulator is controlled to reach a station by its mobile base. This study adopts an uncalibrated eye-in-hand vision system to provide visual information for the manipulator to pick up a workpiece on the station. A novel vision-guided control strategy with a behavior-based look-and-move structure is proposed. This strategy is based on six image features, predefined by image moment method. In the designed neural-fuzzy controllers with varying learning rate, each image feature error is taken to generate intuitively one DOF motion command relative to the camera coordinate frame using fuzzy rules, which define a particular visual behavior. These behaviors are then fused to produce a final command action to perform grasping tasks using the proposed behavior fusion scheme. Finally, the proposed control strategy is experimentally applied to control the end-effector to approach and grasp a workpiece in various locations on a station. 相似文献

In this article we exploit the concept of probability for defining the fuzzy entropy of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs). We then propose two families of entropy measures for IFSs and also construct the axiom definition and properties. Two definitions of entropy for IFSs proposed by Burillo and Bustince in 1996 and Szmidt and Kacprzyk in 2001 are used. The first one allows us to measure the degree of intuitionism of an IFS, whereas the second one is a nonprobabilistic‐type entropy measure with a geometric interpretation of IFSs used in comparison with our proposed entropy of IFSs in the numerical comparisons. In this paper, an efficient and systematic formulation of the force distribution equations for general tree-structured robotic mechanisms is presented. The applicable platforms include not only systems with star topologies, such as walking machines that have multiple legs with a single body but also general tree-structured mechanisms, such as variably configured wheeled vehicles having multiple modules. The force balance equations that govern the relationship between the contact forces and the resultant inertial forces/moments of the vehicle will be derived through a recursive and computationally efficient algorithm. Also, the joint torque constraints that specify the joint actuator limits, and contact friction constraints that may be used to avoid slippage and maintain contact, are efficiently incorporated in the formulation. Based on this formulation, several standard optimization techniques, such as linear programming or quadratic programming, can be applied to obtain the solution. An algorithm summarizing the results developed, and suitable for computer implementation, is included. The algorithm has been applied to an n-module actively articulated wheeled vehicle, and the computational cost evaluated. The efficiency of the algorithm is demonstrated with results showing real-time execution on a Pentium PC. 相似文献

The manufacture,physical characterization,environmental applications and cytotoxicity properties of nanocomposites consisting of CuO/CeO2 nano-rare earth composite materials prepared using the coprecipitation method at molar ratio of 6:4 with aqueous solutions of copper nitrate and cerium nitrate were reported.The performance of the selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia to N2(NH3-SCO) over a CuO/CeO2 nano-rare earth composite materials in a tubular fixed-bed reactor(TFBR) at temperatures from 423 to 673 K in the presence of oxygen was elucidated.The catalytic redox behavior was determined by cyclic voltammetry(CV).The nanocomposite particles were characterized by TEM,with a tiny particle size around 10 nm with high dispersion phenomena.Further,cell cytotoxicity and the percentage cell survival were determined by using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5(3-carboxymethoxyphenol)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetra-zolium(MTS) assay on human lung MRC-5 cell line.Experimental results showed that no apparent cytotoxicity was observed when the MRC-5 was exposed to the CuO/CeO2 nanocomposite materials. 相似文献

The technology advance in network has accelerated the development of multimedia applications over the wired and wireless communication.
To alleviate network congestion and to reduce latency and workload on multimedia servers, the concept of multimedia proxy
has been proposed to cache popular contents. Caching the data objects can relieve the bandwidth demand on the external network,
and reduce the average time to load a remote data object to local side. Since the effectiveness of a proxy server depends
largely on cache replacement policy, various approaches are proposed in recent years. In this paper, we discuss the cache
replacement policy in a multimedia transcoding proxy. Unlike the cache replacement for conventional web objects, to replace
some elements with others in the cache of a transcoding proxy, we should further consider the transcoding relationship among
the cached items. To maintain the transcoding relationship and to perform cache replacement, we propose in this paper the
RESP framework (standing for REplacement with Shortest Path). The RESP framework contains two primary components, i.e., procedure
MASP (standing for Minimum Aggregate Cost with Shortest Path) and algorithm EBR (standing for Exchange-Based Replacement).
Procedure MASP maintains the transcoding relationship using a shortest path table, whereas algorithm EBR performs cache replacement
according to an exchanging strategy. The experimental results show that the RESP framework can approximate the optimal cache

Autostereoscopic displays are likely to become widely used products in the future. However, certain physiological factors, especially visual comfort, limit their development. In this study, four observational parameters – ambient illuminance, image content, scaling ratio, and horizontal distance between major and minor objects – were evaluated to determine the degree of visual comfort offered by 3D computer‐generated images on an autostereoscopic display. Visual comfort score with the range of 0–1 is designed to represent the degree of visual comfort for the 3D images with different manipulations of ambient illuminance, image content, scaling ratio, and horizontal distance between major and minor objects in this study. Subjects were asked to indicate images that produced discomfort. The proportion of images for each condition where participants indicated that viewing the image was comfortable was computed. Images receiving a proportion of 0.5 or greater were classified as acceptable. The disparity ranges over which acceptable images were attained for each participant and for each condition were analyzed with analysis of variance. The analytical results indicate that ambient illuminance and image content have a significant effect on the acceptable disparity range, while scaling ratio and horizontal distance between major and minor objects did not. 相似文献

Interactions between teachers and students can be effectively enhanced if teachers can capture the spontaneous nonverbal behaviors (e.g., facial expressions and body language) of their students in real time, thereby effectively improving teaching strategies and the learning effectiveness of students. In this study, we implemented an expression–response analysis system (ERAS) to analyze facial expressions. The ERAS employs a web camera to capture the facial images of students. Their facial expressions are analyzed to assess their attitude toward progressively more difficult course content, and to determine the relationship between their social interactions and learning effectiveness. The ERAS identified 10 facial feature points that form 11 facial action units (AUs). Subsequently, the AUs were classified as positive, neutral, and negative social interactions by applying a rule-based expert system, and cognitive load theory was applied to verify the classifications. The experimental results showed that student with high coding abilities could adapt to the multimedia digital learning content, as evidenced by the comparatively higher expression of neutral and positive social interactions, whereas students with low coding abilities reported a higher frequency of negative social interactions resulting from the increase in cognitive load. Simultaneously, the real time detection of social interactions can provide a basis for diagnosing student learning difficulties and assist teachers in adjusting their teaching strategies. 相似文献

A simple design of circularly polarized slot‐patch antenna array with broadband operation and compact size is presented in this article. The antenna element consists of a circular slot and a semicircular patch, which are etched on both sides of a substrate. For the gain and axial ratio (AR) bandwidth enhancement, its array antennas are implemented in a 2 × 2 arrangement and fed by a sequential‐phase feeding network. The final 2 × 2 antenna array prototype with compact lateral dimension of 0.8λL × 0.8λL (λL is the lowest frequency within AR bandwidth) yielded a measured impedance bandwidth of 103.83% (2.76‐8.72 GHz) and a measured AR bandwidth of 94.62% (2.45‐6.85 GHz). The peak gain values within the AR bandwidth are from 2.85 to 8.71 dBi. A good agreement between the simulated and measured results is achieved. This antenna array is suitable for multiservice wireless systems covering WiMAX, WLAN and C‐band applications such as satellite communications. 相似文献

String matching plays a central role in packet inspection applications such as intrusion detection, anti-virus, anti-spam and Web filtering. Since they are computation and memory intensive, software matching algorithms are insufficient to meet the high-speed performance. Thus, offloading packet inspection to a dedicated hardware seems inevitable. This paper presents a scalable automaton matching (SAM) coprocessor that uses Aho-Corasick (AC) algorithm with two parallel acceleration techniques, root-indexing and pre-hashing. The root-indexing can match multiple bytes in one single matching, and the pre-hashing can be used to avoid bitmap AC matching which is a cycle-consuming operation. In the platform-based SoC implementation of the Xilinx ML310 FPGA, the proposed hardware architecture can achieve almost 10.7 Gbps and support over 10,000 patterns for virus, which is the largest pattern set from among the existing works. On the average, the performance of SAM is 7.65 times faster than the original bitmap AC. Furthermore, SAM is feasible for either internal or external memory architecture. The internal memory architecture provides high performance, while the external memory architecture provides high scalability in term of the number of patterns. 相似文献
