Electrocatalytic reduction of halobetasol propionate (HBP) at single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) modified edge plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (EPPGE) was performed by square wave voltammetry and cyclic voltammerty in phosphate buffer of pH 7.2. The surface morphology of SWCNT/EPPGE was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The enhanced peak current (i p) and lower reduction peak potential (E p) at modified electrode as compared to bare electrode were obvious evidences for the electrocatalytic ability of SWCNT toward the reduction of HBP. The cathodic peak current varied linearly with concentration of HBP in the range 0.02 to 1 mM with sensitivity of 2.432 μA mM−1 and detection limit (3σ/slope) of 10 μM. The product of electrochemical reduction of HBP was characterized using FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopic techniques. A tentative mechanism for the formation of product was suggested and it was found that reduction of >C=O occurred at position three. The proposed methodology was successfully applied to the detection of HBP in pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

In this investigation, the flow behaviour of modified 9Cr–1Mo steel at elevated temperatures is reported. To understand the flow behaviour of the steel, tensile tests were performed at nominal strain rate of 3 × 10?3 s?1 and temperatures in the range of 300–823 K. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength were found to decrease with increase in temperature with a plateau in a intermediate temperature regime (523–673 K). Serrations were also observed in the tensile curve at intermediate temperatures which caused plateau/peak in tensile behaviour of material and was a typical manifestation of dynamic strain ageing. An attempt was made to represent the flow behaviour of the material using different constitutive equations viz., Hollomon, Ludwik, Swift, Ludwigson and Voce. It was observed that the Voce equation could describe the experimental flow curve at different temperatures quite well. Instantaneous work hardening rate with respect to flow stress exhibited two stages of hardening especially at relatively lower temperatures.  相似文献

Through-silicon vias (TSVs) have provided an attractive solution for three-dimensional (3D) integrated devices and circuit technologies with reduced parasitic losses and power dissipation, higher input-output (I/O) density and improved system performance. This paper investigates the propagation delay and average power dissipation of single-walled carbon nanotube bundled TSVs having different via radius and height. Depending on the physical configuration, a comprehensive and accurate analytical model of CNT bundled TSV is employed to represent the via (vertical interconnect access) line of a driver-TSV-load (DTL) system. The via radius and height are used to estimate the bundle aspect ratio (AR) and the cross-sectional area. For a fixed via height, the delay and the power dissipation are reduced up to 96.2% using a SWCNT bundled TSV with AR = 300 : 1 in comparison to AR = 6 : 1.  相似文献

Flaxseed oil is one of the richest sources of omega-3 fatty acid (α-linolenic acid, ALA). It contains high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids, making it extremely susceptible to oxidation. In the present study, flaxseed oil was stabilized using microencapsulation followed by spray drying and studied for its oxidative stability in terms of peroxide value (PV), thiobarbituric acid, and p-anisidine value at room temperature (35 ± 1°C) and low temperature (4–7°C) storage for 6 months. Results revealed that the developed flaxseed oil powder was stable throughout the storage period and PV remained below to the maximum permissible limit (≤5 mEq/kg oil) prescribed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The fatty acids profile measured by gas–liquid chromatography indicated a 14.28–15.13% decrease in ALA content in flaxseed oil as a result of microencapsulation and storage at room temperature. In vitro digestion behavior of microcapsules showed 4.39 ± 0.53 to 19.87 ± 0.47% release of flaxseed oil under simulated gastric continued, whereas under gastrointestinal conditions it was 20.00 ± 3.66 to 59.99 ± 9.29%.  相似文献

Slurry erosion behaviour of HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel) and plasma sprayed coatings on CA6NM hydraulic turbine steel has been investigated at different levels of various parameters. The Cr2O3–50%Al2O3 composite powder was prepared and deposited on CA6NM steel samples to get the uniform thickness coatings. The surface roughness, porosity and microhardness of as-coated samples were measured. The as-coated samples were subjected to SEM/EDS analysis to evaluate the surface microstructure of the developed coatings. Erosion tests were performed on self made erosion test rig under hydro accelerated conditions. The study reveals that the velocity, impact angle and slurry concentration were the most significant parameters, influencing the erosion rate of these coatings. The average particle size had least affect on the erosion rate. HVOF-coated samples showed better corrosion resistance as compared to plasma-coated samples due to high hardness of HVOF-coated CA6NM samples.  相似文献

A systematic study was conducted using reversed‐phase thin‐layer chromatography wherein unsaponifiable matter of samples namely, pure cow and buffalo milk fats, vegetable oils (groundnut oil, soya bean oil and sunflower oil) and milk fats adulterated with vegetable oils (≥1%) were run along with the reference standards using two new solvent systems to detect adulteration in milk fat. The results of the study revealed that adulteration at even a 1% level could easily be detected using this rapid, reliable and reproducible method based on the presence of β‐sitosterol as a marker and some additional spots ascribable to their occurrence in vegetable oils only.  相似文献

In this review, we report permanent dysmorphogenesis of the penis and loss of fertility in adult rats treated neonatally with estrogen. Specifically, we report replacement of smooth muscle cells and cavernous spaces by fat cells in the corpus cavernosum penis, but not in the adjoining corpus spongiosum. Induction of these novel, region-specific phenotypes is dose-dependent, requires a critical window of exposure and associated with decreased testosterone and up-regulation of estrogen receptor alpha (ER alpha). The resistance of ER alpha knockout mice to develop these abnormalities implies an unequivocal role for ER alpha in mediating maldevelopment of the penis. Additionally, the prevention of estrogen-inducible penile abnormalities by ER antagonist ICI 182 780 implies that a functional ER-mediated pathway is essential for inducing penile abnormalities. Likewise, the ability of testosterone or dihydrotestosterone to negate these abnormalities suggests a role for an androgen receptor (AR)-mediated pathway. Taken together, these observations led us to hypothesize that neonatal estrogen exposure, via an ER-mediated pathway (direct action) or an AR-mediated pathway (indirect action through decreased testosterone) or both pathways, up-regulates ER alpha expression in stromal cells of the penis, which are then reprogrammed such that their differentiation into smooth muscle cells is inhibited and their differentiation into adipocytes is stimulated.  相似文献

YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) films were fabricated via a fluorine-free metal organic deposition (MOD) method followed by high-temperature, low oxygen partial pressure annealing. Trimethyl acetate salts of copper, yttrium, and barium hydroxide were used as the precursors, which were dissolved in proponic acid- and amine-based solvents. After spin-coating and burnout, samples were annealed at 740°C in 180 ppm oxygen partial pressure and exposed to humid atmosphere for different times. A critical transition temperature, T c( R =0) of 90.2 K and a transport critical current density ( J c) of 0.55 MA/cm2 (77 K and self-field) were obtained for 0.2 μm YBCO films on CeO2-buffered yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) substrates. X-ray studies shows that the YBCO films have sharp in-plane and out-of-plane texture for all samples; however, the porosity of the YBCO film varies with the time of exposure to the humid atmosphere. A reaction between YBCO and CeO2 during the high-temperature anneals and formation of the reaction product BaCeO3 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. The XRD and transmission electron microscopy analysis indicated that the epitaxial relations in the film were YBCO (00 l )//CeO2 (00 l )//YSZ (00 l ) and YBCO [100]//CeO2 [110]//YSZ [110].  相似文献

Nanostructured semiconductor thin films of Zn-Fe2O3 modified with underlying layer of Fe-TiO2 have been synthesized and studied as photoelectrode in photoelectrochemical (PEC) cell for generation of hydrogen through water splitting. The Zn-Fe2O3 thin film photoelectrodes were designed for best performance by tailoring thickness of the Fe-TiO2 film. A maximum photocurrent density of 748 μA/cm2 at 0.95 V/SCE and solar to hydrogen conversion efficiency of 0.47% was observed for 0.89 μm thick modified photoelectrode in 1 M NaOH as electrolyte and under 1.5 AM solar simulator. To analyse the PEC results the films were characterized for various physical and semiconducting properties using XRD, SEM, EDX and UV–Visible spectrophotometer. Zn-Fe2O3 thin films modified with Fe-TiO2 exhibited improved visible light absorption. A noticeable change in surface morphology of the modified Zn-Fe2O3 film was observed as compared to the pristine Zn-Fe2O3 film. Flatband potential values calculated from Mott–Schottky curves also supported the PEC response.  相似文献
