Novel Cu2S-MoO3 nanocomposite (NC) has been synthesized successfully by single step hydrothermal method. The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of Cu2S-MoO3 NC were individualised by XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, UV–Visible spectroscopy. As synthesized Cu2S-MoO3 NC was used as anode material for lithium ion battery (LIB) and manifested first discharge capacity 1516 mAhg?1 at C/4 current rate. Cu2S-MoO3 NC is also implemented for photocatalytic hydrogen generation. In addition to above applications, it is materialized for degradation of organic dye (methylene blue) and chromium reduction [Cr(VI) to Cr(III)] with peerless activity.  相似文献

Mesoporous CdS nanoparticles with an average pore size of 54 Å and a particle size of 4–6 nm have been prepared by template free ultrasonic mediated precipitation at room temperature. The as prepared particles have been characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy, XRD, N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms, SEM and TEM techniques. The photocatalytic hydrogen production activity for the pure, noble metal loaded and supported mesoporous CdS has been studied. The photocatalytic activity has been compared with bulk and nanosize CdS prepared in our earlier studies. Among the prepared catalysts, Pt metal loaded mesoporous CdS shows highest hydrogen production rate of 1415 μmol/h/0.1 g catalyst. In the case of supported systems, irrespective of the particle size the basic MgO support shows higher activity than alumina support.  相似文献

Single step chemical polymerization of N‐methyl aniline was carried out by using ammonium persulphate as an oxidizing agent. The conducting emeraldine salt phase of the polymers using camphor sulfonic acid and p‐toluene sulfonic acid as dopants was made by a direct process. The polymers were characterized by UV‐vis and FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, TGA, and conductivity measurements. The synthesized polymers were found to have very good physicochemical properties and good electrical conductivity. Conductivity measurements have shown “thermal activated behavior.” The change in resistance with respect to % relative humidity (RH) was observed, when pressed pellets of the polymer were exposed to the broad range of humidity (ranging between 20 and 100% RH). © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polypropylene is a leading commercial, fiber‐forming polymer due to its low cost and potential for making high strength fibers. As the polymer of choice in the biomedical field, polypropylene contains only two elements, namely carbon and hydrogen. As a result, it is very hydrophobic and bio‐inert lacking biodegradability in the landfill. Meltblown and spunbond polypropylene nonwovens were exposed to γ‐radiation doses up to 25 kGy. The changes in morphology, chemical, thermal, and tensile properties were characterized by various analytical techniques. Following γ‐radiation, the FTIR spectrum illustrated an increase in carbonyl groups suggesting radio‐oxidation. A new series of 3‐substituted 2‐phenylimidazo[2,1‐b]benzothiazoles ( 3 a – h ) were synthesized by C‐arylation of 2‐arylimidazo[2,1‐b]benzothiazoles using palladium acetate as catalyst, and the resulting compounds were evaluated for their anticancer activity. Compounds 3 a , 3 e , and 3 h exhibited good antiproliferative activity, with GI50 values in the range of 0.19–83.1 μM . Compound 3 h showed potent anticancer efficacy against 60 human cancer cell lines, with a mean GI50 value of 0.88 μM . This compound also induced cell‐cycle arrest in the G2/M phase and inhibited tubulin polymerization followed by activation of caspase‐3 and apoptosis. A high‐throughput tubulin polymerization assay showed that the level of inhibition for compound 3 h is similar to that of combretastatin A‐4. Molecular modeling studies provided a molecular basis for the favorable binding of compounds 3 a , 3 e , and 3 h to the colchicine binding pocket of tubulin.  相似文献

A conducting polymer, polyaniline, was synthesized by chemical polymerization using different inorganic acids, such as HCl, H2SO4, HClO4, HNO3, and H3PO4, as protonic acid media. The synthesized polymers were characterized using UV‐visible and FT‐IR spectroscopy. A granular type of morphology was observed under SEM for HCl, HNO3, and H3PO4 doped polyanilines. However, HClO4 doped polyaniline shows the folded lamellar structure derived from the fibers. The thermal stability of these polymers was investigated with the help of thermogravimetric (TG/SDTA) analysis. The formation of a greater fraction of the conducting emeraldine salt phase is observed in HClO4 as a protonic acid media. The thermal stability of H3PO4 doped material is found to be better as compared with other acids. An increase in conductivity with an increase in temperature was observed in all the samples except for HClO4 doped polyaniline. Polym. Eng.
