We present the results of applying lossless and lossy data compression to a three-dimensional object reconstruction and recognition technique based on phase-shift digital holography. We find that the best lossless (Lempel-Ziv, Lempel-Ziv-Welch, Huffman, Burrows-Wheeler) compression rates can be expected when the digital hologram is stored in an intermediate coding of separate data streams for real and imaginary components. The lossy techniques are based on subsampling, quantization, and discrete Fourier transformation. For various degrees of speckle reduction, we quantify the number of Fourier coefficients that can be removed from the hologram domain, and the lowest level of quantization achievable, without incurring significant loss in correlation performance or significant error in the reconstructed object domain.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe the implementation of a microwave cryogenic sapphire oscillator (CSO) at the Laboratoire de Physique et Métrologie des Oscillateurs. In our realization we solved the problem of the spurious modes by operating the sapphire resonator in an open cavity. The CSO compared to a hydrogen maser demonstrates a frequency stability better than 3 x 10(-14) at short term. Its long-term frequency instability of the order of 3 x 10(-12)/day is limited by a random walk process. A first attempt to use this reference oscillator to characterize other signal sources is presented.  相似文献

We report new measurements of dielectric properties of Lanthanum gallium silicate (Langasite or LGS) conducted with the whispering-gallery mode technique at microwave frequencies and between 4.2 K and 300 K. The real part of the permittivity tensor of LGS presents two components having temperature coefficients of opposite sign. This unique property enables the design of a temperature compensated resonator that may be useful in building stable microwave oscillators or filters. We report also the first measurements of the two independent components of the imaginary part of the permittivity tensor. It appears LGS is a relatively high-loss dielectric material compared with sapphire or quartz.  相似文献

Aeromonas hydrophila is sometimes considered as a controversial human pathogen and reported to be susceptible to food processing procedures and environmental stresses. In this study, we have shown that early stationary phase cells of A. hydrophila were readily killed during up shifts in temperature (in the range 50-70 degrees C), the course of drying (at relative humidity, temperature and brightness of the laboratory) and after 5 min exposure to 20%, 30% and 40% v/v ethanol. However, this bacterium was found moderately susceptible to down shift to 4 degrees C in nutrient poor water, sodium chloride stresses (1.5 and 2 M) and to 12% and 15% v/v ethanol stresses. Tolerance against 1 M NaCl and 10% v/v ethanol was observed. At ambient temperature (24.5 degrees C), this microorganism exhibited a starvation survival state, which was largely independent of the initial cell concentrations (8.82, 7.71 and 6.76 log units). The cross-protection experiments showed that cells starved for short (1 day) or prolonged (50 days) periods developed increased resistance to down shift at 4 degrees C and ethanol stress. This may be of concern to the food-processing industry from the public health perspective.  相似文献

We demonstrate and investigate a peculiar mode of cw Yb3+-doped crystal laser operation when two emissions, at two independently tunable wavelengths, are simultaneously produced. Both emissions are generated from a single pumped volume and take place in either a single beam or spatially separated beams. The laser employs original two-channel cavities that use a passive self-injection-locking (PSIL) control to reduce intracavity loss. The advantages of the application of the PSIL technique and some limitations are shown. The conditions for two-wavelength multimode operation of the cw quasi-three-level diode-pumped Yb3+ lasers and the peculiarity of such an operation are carried out both theoretically and experimentally. The results reported are based on the example of a Yb3+:GGG laser but similar results are also obtained with a Yb3+:YAG laser. The laser operates in the 1023-1033-nm (1030-1040-nm) range with a total output power of 0.4 W. A two-wavelength, single longitudinal mode generation is also obtained.  相似文献

以气相生长炭纤维含浸酚醛树脂后经炭化及石墨化处理,制成炭/炭复合材料。观察了不同纤维百分含量的复合材料在升温过程的微细结构及物性之变化,探讨了其强度及电性的变化,并以扫瞄式电子显微镜(SEM)观察破断表面,观察各种复合材料经不同温度处理后之破坏行为。研究结果显示,以气相生长炭纤维所制复材经温度处理后,可以改善其抗弯强度及导电性,最佳纤维含量质量分数为0.5%。超过此比率后,制成之复合材料无论是空孔率或强度皆呈下降。  相似文献

In this paper we present a polynomial time algorithm for solving the problem of partial covering of trees with n1 balls of radius R1 and n2 balls of radius R2 (R1 < R2) to maximize the total number of covered vertices. The solutions provided by this algorithm in the particular case R1 = R – 1, R2 = R can be used to obtain for any integer δ > 0 a factor (2+1/δ) approximation algorithm for solving the following augmentation problem with odd diameter constraints D = 2R + 1: Given a tree T, add a minimum number of new edges such that the augmented graph has diameter ≤ D. The previous approximation algorithm of Ishii, Yamamoto, and Nagamochi (2003) has factor 8.  相似文献

Today, (engine) downsizing using turbocharging appears as a major way in reducing fuel consumption and pollutant emissions of spark ignition (SI) engines. In this context, an efficient control of the air actuators [throttle, turbo wastegate, and variable camshaft timing (VCT)] is needed for engine torque control. This paper proposes a nonlinear model-based control scheme which combines separate, but coordinated, control modules. Theses modules are based on different control strategies: internal model control (IMC), model predictive control (MPC), and optimal control. It is shown how neural models can be used at different levels and included in the control modules to replace physical models, which are too complex to be online embedded, or to estimate nonmeasured variables. The results obtained from two different test benches show the real-time applicability and good control performance of the proposed methods.  相似文献
