Hydrogel is a three-dimensional (3D) soft and highly hydrophilic, polymeric network that can swell in water and imbibe a high amount of water or biological fluids. Hydrogels have been used widely in various biomedical applications. Hydrogel may provide a fluidic tissue-like 3D microenvironment by maintaining the original network for tissue engineering. However, their low mechanical performances limit their broad applicability in various functional tissues. This property causes substantial challenges in designing and preparing strong hydrogel networks. Therefore, we report the triple-networked hybrid hydrogel network with enhanced mechanical properties by incorporating dual-crosslinking and nanofillers (e.g., montmorillonite (MMT), graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs)). In this study, we prepared hybrid hydrogels composed of polyacrylamide, poly (vinyl alcohol), sodium alginate, MMT, and MMT/GNPs through dynamic crosslinking. The freeze-dried hybrid hydrogels showed good 3D porous architecture. The results exhibited a magnificent porous structure, interconnected pore-network surface morphology, enhanced mechanical properties, and cellular activity of hybrid hydrogels.  相似文献

Helicobacter pylori is one of the most successful gastric pathogens that has co-existed with human for centuries. H. pylori is recognized by the host immune system through human pattern recognition receptors (PRRs), such as toll-like receptors (TLRs), C-type lectin like receptors (CLRs), NOD-like receptors (NLRs), and RIG-I-like receptors (RLRs), which activate downstream signaling pathways. Following bacterial recognition, the first responders of the innate immune system, including neutrophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells, eradicate the bacteria through phagocytic and inflammatory reaction. This review provides current understanding of the interaction between the innate arm of host immunity and H. pylori, by summarizing H. pylori recognition by PRRs, and the subsequent signaling pathway activation in host innate immune cells.  相似文献

We report a case of a patient with Dubin–Johnson syndrome confirmed by a genetic study. A 50-year-old woman who had symptoms of intermittent right upper quadrant abdominal pain was diagnosed with calculous cholecystitis at another institute and was presented to our hospital for a cholecystectomy. She had no history of liver disease, and her physical examination was normal. Abdominal computed tomography showed a gallbladder stone with chronic cholecystitis. During a laparoscopic cholecystectomy for cholecystitis, a smooth, black-colored liver was noted, and a liver biopsy was performed. The biopsy specimen showed coarse, dark brown granules in centrilobular hepatocytes via hematoxylin and eosin staining. We performed a genetic study using the blood samples of the patient. In the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette subfamily C member 2 (ABCC2) mutation study, a missense mutation in exon 18 was noted. Based on the black-colored liver without nodularity, conjugated hyperbilirubinemia, the liver biopsy results of the coarse pigment in centrilobular hepatocytes, and the ABCC2 mutation, Dubin–Johnson syndrome was diagnosed. The patient was managed with conservative care using hepatotonics. One month after follow-up, total bilirubin and direct bilirubin remained in a similar range. Another follow-up was planned a month later, and the patient maintained her use of hepatotonics.  相似文献

Instantaneous center (IC) analysis of a mechanism is very important in mechanism analysis, since the analysis gives intuition about the global movement of the mechanism, and the analysis also makes the numerical analysis of velocities faster. Previous IC analysis methods have used geometrical information from the mechanism configuration. Such methods have disadvantages of complexity in calculation and difficulty determining the direction of linkage movement due to geometric complexity. This research suggests a new IC analysis method for planar closed chains. The proposed method determines the IC simply from the relation between joint velocities based on graphical representation. Twists in screw theory are used to define the joint velocities in a closed chain and also to calculate the IC. Three different kinds of mechanisms are analyzed by the method: a four-bar mechanism, slidercrank mechanism, and a multiple closed-chain mechanism composed of four-bar and slider-crank mechanisms. The analysis methodology can be applied to calculate the ICs of various planar closed chains.  相似文献
