The purpose of this study is to clarify damage process of “Type IV cracking” in weldment of a 2.25Cr-1Mo steel and to propose a micro damage prediction method. From continuous observation under a creep-fatigue test, it was found that spherical shape voids initiated and grew on grain boundaries in fine grain region and these voids grow continuously by changing their shape to crack-like. Both spherical and crack-like void growth rate equations were derived from the proposed void growth model. It was indicated that measured void growth rate under the creep-fatigue loading was well predicted by the growth rate equations.  相似文献

We measured the lowest velocity (velocity threshold) for discriminating motion direction in relative and uniform motion stimuli, varying the contrast and the spatial frequency of the stimulus gratings. The results showed significant differences in the effects of contrast and spatial frequency on the threshold, as well as on the absolute threshold level between the two motion conditions, except when the contrast was 1% or lower. Little effect of spatial frequency was found for uniform motion, whereas a bandpass property with a peak at approximately 5 cycles per degree was found for relative motion. It was also found that contrast had little effect on uniform motion, whereas the threshold decreased with increases in contrast up to 85% for relative motion. These differences cannot be attributed to possible differences in eye movements between the relative and the uniform motion conditions, because the spatial-frequency characteristics differed in the two conditions even when the presentation duration was short enough to prevent eye movements. The differences also cannot be attributed to detecting positional changes, because the velocity threshold was not determined by the total distance of the stimulus movements. These results suggest that there are two different motion pathways: one that specializes in relative motion and one that specializes in uniform or global motion. A simulation showed that the difference in the response functions of the two possible pathways accounts for the differences in the spatial-frequency and contrast dependency of the velocity threshold.  相似文献

A new kind of the Vernier mechanism that is able to control the size of linear assembly of DNA origami nanostructures is proposed. The mechanism is realized by mechanical design of DNA origami, which consists of a hollow cylinder and a rotatable shaft in it connected through the same scaffold. This nanostructure stacks with each other by the shape complementarity at its top and bottom surfaces of the cylinder, while the number of stacking is limited by twisting angle of the shaft. Experiments have shown that the size distribution of multimeric assembly of the origami depends on the twisting angle of the shaft; the average lengths of the multimer are decamer, hexamer, and tetramer for 0°, 10°, and 20° twist, respectively. In summary, it is possible to affect the number of polymerization by adjusting the precise shape and movability of a molecular structure.  相似文献

Several attempts have been made to grasp three‐dimensional (3D) ground shape from a 3D point cloud generated by aerial vehicles, which help fast situation recognition. However, identifying such objects on the ground from a 3D point cloud, which consists of 3D coordinates and color information, is not straightforward due to the gap between the low‐level point information (coordinates and colors) and high‐level context information (objects). In this paper, we propose a ground object recognition and segmentation method from a geo‐referenced point cloud. Basically, we rely on some existing tools to generate such a point cloud from aerial images, and our method tries to give semantics to each set of clustered points. In our method, firstly, such points that correspond to the ground surface are removed using the elevation data from the Geographical Survey Institute. Next, we apply an interpoint distance‐based clustering and color‐based clustering. Then, such clusters that share some regions are merged to correctly identify a cluster that corresponds to a single object. We have evaluated our method in several experiments in real fields. We have confirmed that our method can remove the ground surface within 20 cm error and can recognize most of the objects.  相似文献

We performed subjective experiments to evaluate color matching performance of the Spectral Properties Estimation Model (SPEM) and six other models (von Kries, CIELAB, LLAB, RLAB, Nayatani, and CIECAM97s) between two CRT monitors whose whites were quite different. Moreover, we evaluated color matching of these models between a CRT monitor and a printed image set in a dark room. The SPEM we developed is a new chromatic adaptation model based on hypothetical spectral properties estimation. This article describes the subjective experiments and the results obtained. A marine microbe (strain SR21) from the coral reef area of the Yap Islands was isolated by a screening test for polyunsaturated fatty acids and was found to accumulate lipid that contained 22:5n-6 docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) as well as 22:6n-3 docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Strain SR21 was identified as genusSchizochytrium in Labyrinthulomycota, owing to its ultrastructural character and life cycle, which is composed of vegetative cell, zoosporangium, and zoospore stages. After cultural optimization, both in flask and fermenter, the highest DHA and DPA productivities of 2.0 and 0.44 g/L per day, respectively, were obtained in a medium of 60 g/L glucose and corn steep liquor/ammonium sulfate in a half salt concentration of seawater in fermenter culture at 28°C and pH 4. This productivity was almost twice that obtained with flask culture, indicating its high resistance to mechanical stirring. The lipid extracted from the cell was about 50% of the dry cell weight and was composed of 93% triacylglycerol (TG). DHA content of the lipid was 34% of total fatty acids. The TG profile was simple, and the content of the most dominant TG, 1,3-dipalmitoyl-2-DHA-TG, was 27%. TG that contained DHA and n-6-DPA amounted to 57 and 17%, respectively, of total TG molecules. Strain SR21 was revealed to be an excellent source of microbial DHA and n-6 DPA.  相似文献

The C-terminal boundary of primary sequence of the Bacillussubtilis PAP115 endo-ß-1,4-glucanase (EG) requiredfor stable catalytic activity has been mapped by site-directedmutagenesis using Escherichia coli as host. The 52 kDa cel geneproduct, EG470 and a 33 kDa mutant (EG300), lacking 170 residuesthrough a nonsense mutation at the leucine-330 codon of thegene, exhibited similar patterns of enzymatic activity and pHoptima using cellooligopentaose as substrate.CD spectra indicatedthat the bulk of the -helical secondary structure in EG470 wascontained within EG300. However, relative to EG470, the specificactivity of EG300 was 3- to 4-fold lower with amorphous celluloseas substrate and {small tilde}4-to5-fold higher with carboxymethylcellulose(soluble cellulose).These results along with data which showthat EG470 binding capacity to mirocrystalline cellulose is{small tilde} 11 times more than that of EG300, demonstratethe importance of residues 330–499 for non-catalytic bindingof cellulose. A construct of the cel gene carrying a deletionof codons 330–499 and an insertion of a nonsense codonat leucine-330, was further used to make mutants EG296 and EG291with nonsense codon substitutions at arginine and serine-321,respectively.Western analysis using EG-specific antiserum revealedthat relative losses in enzymatic activity of EG296 (50%) andEG291 (95%) could be accounted for by the extent of their proteolysis,signifying a marked destabilization of these enzymes by removalof only a few amino acids.  相似文献

Although the color measurement of facial skin becomes more common in dermatology and cosmetics, little is known about the relationship between subjective color perception and colorimetric values in facial skin. In this study, the possible relationships among perceived whiteness and the metric lightness, chroma and hue angle of Japanese females' facial skin color were investigated. First, the perceived brightness of the facial skin of Japanese females was evaluated visually and compared with metric lightness, chroma and hue angle, and the effect of hue and chroma on the perceived brightness was discussed. Second, a psychophysical experiment on the whiteness of the facial images and synthesized skin color plate images was conducted for examining the effect of hue and chroma on the perceived whiteness more precisely and independently. The results of two experiments showed that in regard to the facial skin color of the Japanese female, metric lightness disagrees with perceived whiteness or brightness in a narrow lightness range. The reddish facial skin color appeared brighter or whiter than that of a yellowish one in high lightness regions, and the low‐chroma facial skin color appeared brighter or whiter than a high‐chroma one. However, in the color plate images, a change in perceived whiteness by hue could not be confirmed, and the change in perceived whiteness by chroma was weaker than that from facial images. These results indicated that a higher‐level process of face recognition affected whiteness perception, and the criterion of facial skin whiteness was determined by facial skin color distribution. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
