Estimating the accuracy of the titrimetric determination of sulfate ion in natural water and in waste water using various indicators

Conclusions An estimate has been made of the accuracy of titrimetric determination of sulfate ion content of natural water or waste water in the concentration region 30–100 mg/dm³, using indicators of the 2,7-bisazo-substituted chromotropic acid group.The confidence range of the total error in the analytical results using the indicators nitchromazo, carboxyarsenazo, and chlorophosphonazo III does not exceed ±2.3, ±6.5, or ±2.1%, respectively.Translated from Khimicheskie Volokna, No. 2, pp. 60–61, March–April, 1990.

A complete-order hybrid identifier for multiprogrammed stabilization

Stabilization of a family of programmed motions of a linear control system with a first-order nonlinear hybrid state identifier is studied. Such an identifier and a multiprogrammed hybrid control are designed in the form of nonlinear feedback. A theorem on sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution to the formulated problem is proved.     

Zeolite–Containing Catalysts for Hydrorefining of Middle Distillates

Developments in the field of catalysts and technologies for obtaining diesel cuts with low solid points are briefly reviewed. The expediency of conducting research in this direction is demonstrated. The results of pilot tests of series RK–720 catalysts for producing these cuts are reported. Type ZSM–5 zeolite is used as a component of this series of catalysts and aluminum oxide is used as the catalyst support–binder.     

Fundamental limits of the accuracy of the photoelectric recording of radiation: Interferometric and anemometer aspects

The fundamental limits of the accuracy of the photoelectric recording of the amplitude, visibility and phase of an interference field are investigated using a semiclassical approach by methods of information theory and parameter estimation. A receiving scheme with moving scattering particles is analyzed, which enables the laser anemometer aspect to be included and enables the effect of the phase and number of fringes to be investigated.
