In the present paper, we have investigated as a function of surfactant concentration the rheological (yield value, plastic viscosity) and electrokinetic (mobility, zeta potential) properties of montmorillonite (MMT) dispersions. The influence of surfactants (Octadeccyltrimethylammonium bromide, ODTABr and Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide, HDTABr) on dispersions of Na-activated bentonite was evaluated by rheological and electrokinetic measurements, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies. The interactions between clay minerals and surfactants in water-based Na-activated MMT dispersions (2 wt.%) were examined in detail using rheologic parameters, such as viscosity, yield point, apparent and plastic viscosity, hysteresis area, and electrokinetic parameters of mobility and zeta potentials, and XRD also analyses helped to determine swelling properties of d-spacings. MMT and organoclay dispersions showed Bingham Plastic flow behavior. The zeta potential measurements displayed that the surfactant molecules hold on the clay particle surfaces and the XRD analyses displayed that they get into the basal layers.  相似文献

Water-based development is a catalyst for economic, social and environmental changes. Currently, this development is framed in the discourse of sustainability, based on such concepts as participation, gender equity and the containment of environmental and social impacts. Policies concerning these changes are implemented via state institutions, often in tandem with private institutions, both commercial (banks and businesses) and non-profit (universities and non-governmental organizations). The success of sustainable integrated development depends on the ability of these institutions to incorporate the concepts of sustainability, to adapt to changing environments and to optimize co-operation with other institutions. However, these institutions may vary greatly in their interpretation of the sustainability discourse, as well as in their capacity to implement those concepts consistently. This paper presents some of the current issues related to the need for capacity building and multisectoral co-ordination in order to ensure ongoing sustainable development (SD) where most, if not all, actors have a critical understanding of development discourse and are able to apply the concepts of sustainability in their normal operations. These issues are then discussed in the context of the experience of the South-eastern Anatolia Project Regional Development Administration in introducing SD to south-eastern Turkey.  相似文献

The effect of drying temperature on grape wastes, the solid wastes of the wine and raki production processes, was investigated in a cabinet dryer. Drying experiments were performed three air temperatures of 70°, 90,° and 110°C, at constant air velocity of 1.2 m/s, and initial thickness of 1.8 cm for grape marc and 2.0 cm for grape pulp. Experimental data were fitted to Henderson and Pabis, Page, and logarithmic models, respectively. The performance of these models is evaluated by comparing coefficient of determination and reduced chi-square between the observed and predicted moisture ratios. The statistical analysis concluded that the best model was the logarithmic model. The effective moisture diffusivity varied from 8.55 × 10?10 to 3.32 × 10?9 m2/s over the temperature range. Temperature dependence of the diffusivity was well documented by an Arrhenius-type relationship. The activation energies for grape marc and grape pulp were calculated as 25.41 and 13.74 kJ/mol, respectively.  相似文献

In this study, the main electrical parameters, such as doping concentration (ND), barrier height (ΦCV), depletion layer width (WD), series resistance (Rs) and Fermi energy level (EF), of GaAs/AlxGa1−xAs single quantum well (SQW) laser diodes were investigated using the admittance spectroscopy (C-V and G/ω-V) method in the temperature range of 80-360 K. The reverse bias C−2 vs. V plots gives a straight line in a wide voltage region, especially in weak inversion region. The values of ΦCV at the absolute temperature (T = 0 K) and the temperature coefficient (α) of barrier height were found as 1.22 eV and −8.65 × 10−4 eV/K, respectively. This value of α is in a close agreement with α of GaAs band gap (−5.45 × 10−4 eV/K). Experimental results show that the capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G/ω-V) characteristics of the diode are affected by not only temperature but also Rs. The capacitance-voltage-temperature (C-V-T) and conductance-voltage-temperature (G/ω-V-T) characteristics confirmed that temperature and Rs of the diode have effects on the electronic parameters in SQW laser diodes.  相似文献

Reactive extraction can be used for the recovery of carboxylic acids from fermentation broth. Through the formation of complex with extractants at the two-phase interface, the carboxylic acids are partitioned into organic solvents. But, the recovery of carboxylic acids is interrupted by the conditions of fermentation broth. In this work, kinetic studies for the extraction of succinic acid from aqueous solution with tridodecylamine diluted in 2-octanone and 1-octanol have been carried out. Equilibrium and kinetic studies for the extraction of succinic acid from aqueous solution with tridodecylamine diluted in two functional groups (alcohol and ketone) such as 2-octanone and 1-octanol are reported. All measurements have been carried out at 298.15 K. The results of the liquid–liquid equilibrium measurements have been correlated by a linear solvation energy relationship – LSER model which takes into account physical interactions.  相似文献

Three different thicknesses (50, 150 and 500 nm) Zn-doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) was deposited on n-4H-SiC wafer as interlayer by electrospinning method and so, Au/(Zn-doped PVA)/n-4H-SiC metal–polymer–semiconductor structures were fabricated. The thickness effect of Zn-doped PVA on the dielectric constant (\(\varepsilon ^{\prime }\)), dielectric loss (\(\varepsilon ^{{\prime }{\prime }}\)), loss-tangent (tan \(\delta \)), real and imaginary parts of electric modulus (\(M^{\prime }\) and \(M^{{\prime }{\prime }})\) and ac electrical conductivity \((\sigma _{\mathrm{ac}})\) of them were analysed and compared using experimental capacitance (C) and conductance (\(G/\omega \)) data in the frequency range of 1–500 kHz at room temperature. According to these results, the values of \(\varepsilon ^{\prime }\) and \(\varepsilon ^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) decrease with increasing frequency almost exponentially, \(\sigma _{\mathrm{ac}}\) increases especially, at high frequencies. The \(M^{\prime }\) and \(M^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) values were obtained from the \(\varepsilon ^{\prime }\) and \(\varepsilon ^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) data and the \(M^{\prime }\) and \(M^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) vs. f plots were drawn for these structures. While the values of \(\varepsilon ^{\prime }\), \(\varepsilon ^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) and tan \(\delta \) increase with increasing interlayer thickness, the values of \(M^{\prime }\) and \(M^{{\prime }{\prime }}\) decrease with increasing interlayer thickness. The double logarithmic \(\sigma _{\mathrm{ac}}\) vs. f plots for each structure have two distinct linear regimes with different slopes, which correspond to low and high frequencies, respectively, and it is prominent that there exist two different conduction mechanisms. Obtained results were found as a strong function of frequency and interlayer thickness.  相似文献

The physico-chemical properties, phytochemicals, mineral contents of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) seeds grown at Samsun province in Turkey were evaluated. The oil contents of tobacco seeds ranged from 20.6% (control) to 29.0% (microwave-roasted). L*, a* and b* values of tobacco seeds ranged from 32.38 to 35.61; from 6.32 to 6.78; from 13.72 to 14.27, respectively. Total phenolic contents of tobacco seed extract and oils were reported between 31.02 (oven-roasted) and 34.42 mg GAE/100 g (microwave-roasted) to 4.60 (microwave-roasted) and 6.45 mg GAE/100 g (oven-roasted), respectively. Total flavonoid values of raw and roasted tobacco seed extract and oils were determined between 26.62 (oven) and 67.10 mg/100 g (control) to 21.57 (control) and 44.71 mg/100 g (microwave-roasted), respectively. Gallic acid, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and catechin are the predominant phenolic components of raw and roasted tobacco seed oils. The amounts of oleic and linoleic acid in raw and roasted tobacco seed oils ranged from 10.23% (oven-roasted) to 12.48% (control) and 73.72% (control) to 76.63% (oven-roasted), respectively. The abundant elements found in seeds were K, P, Ca, Mg, S and Fe. The mineral amounts of the roasted seeds were found higher than that of the control. The highest increase was detected in oven roasted tobacco seeds.  相似文献

Virgin olive oils (VOOs) obtained from olives grown in different regions of Turkey under changing climatic conditions sometimes show different sensory and chemical properties. This study was planned to determine whether these deviations are due to climatic changes or not. For this purpose, five different olive varieties (Ayvalık, Memecik, Gemlik, Nizip Yağlık, Kilis Yağlık) of commercial importance were harvested from the provinces/districts (four different region) where cultivation is intense during the 2017/2018–2020/2021 harvest years. Every year, olive samples were collected from 3 orchards from 13 provinces/districts. One hundred and fifty-six samples were subjected to the purity, quality and sensory analysis. Basic climatic values (average, minimum and maximum temperature, humidity and precipitation) were examined for four consecutive years. All of the examined olive oil samples were determined within the legal limits in terms of fatty acid composition and fatty acid ethyl ester values. However, delta-7-stigmastenol value from the sterol composition was found to be above 0.5% in some samples in all the years studied (total 21 samples). Delta-7-stigmastenol values of olive oil samples varied between 0.16% and 1.14%. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied using a genetic algorithm-based inverse least squares method to determine whether there is a relationship between climate data and delta-7-stigmastenol values. According to this result, it has been determined that the delta-7-stigmastenol value is high when the annual average relative humidity is low and the annual average temperature is high. There is an urgent need to make forward-looking plans due to climate change.  相似文献

A photopolymer based Al/Norland Optical Adhesive 60 (NOA60)/p-Si MPS (metal-polymer-semiconductor) device was fabricated by a combination of vacuum evaporation and smear technique. The current transport properties of the device were investigated by using the forward bias current–voltage (I-V) characteristic in the temperature range of 80–300 K. The cross-sectional structure of polymer/semiconductor was revealed by the scanning electron microscope (SEM) image and it was seen that the NOA60 photopolymer was tidily coated on the p-Si surface. According to the I-V measurements at room temperature, the MPS device exhibits a good rectification ratio of 8140 at?±?1 V. The temperature-dependent I-V measurements (I-V-T) were analyzed based on the thermionic emission (TE) theory and an abnormal increase in zero-bias barrier height (BH) and a decrease in ideality factor (n) was observed with increasing temperature. Additionally, two different linear regions with distinct values from the theoretical value of the Richardson constant (A*) were observed in the conventional Richardson plot. Such deviations from the ideal TE theory have been attributed to the effect of BH inhomogeneities. Gaussian distribution (GD) of the BH model has applied the I-V-T results and the double GD BH with mean values of 0.75?±?0.08 eV (80–140 K) and 1.02?±?0.11 eV (140–300 K) were calculated. Moreover, the A* value of 31.4 A/cm2K2 was calculated close to the known value of p-Si from the modified Richardson plot. Thus, it has been concluded that the current transport of the Al/NOA60/p-Si MPS device can be explained by TE with a double GD BH model for a wide temperature region.

In this study, a comprehensive review of achievements in the self-reconfigurable modular robotics field and future directions are given. Self-reconfigurable modular robots (SRMRs) are known as autonomous kinematic machines that can change their shape by rearranging the connectivity of their modules to perform new tasks, adapt to changing circumstances, and recover from damage. Versatility, reliability, and low-cost are the fundamental promises of SRMRs when compared with conventional robots. This study emphasized the achievements in the field considering the promises and identified the gaps to be filled in the future. The main distinguishing feature of an SRMR is the capability of configuring its shape during operation. Flexibility in shape supported by appropriate controller strategies brings flexibility in task assignment. Classification of SRMRs is enriched by adding a new section based on assigned tasks to the robot. In addition, the classification based on mechanical and controller design aspects is thoroughly inspected in our study. A new subsection of material selection is introduced in the mechanical design aspects section. Adding these sections to the classification is the main difference between our study and the previous review studies. It is expected that the SRMRs field will have more interactions with materials science in the future. The study is concluded by emphasizing the promises of SRMRs and giving a future vision of the field.  相似文献
