Mercury and chromium represent two important elements of environmental concern and with a strong impact on human health. Several technologies are available to clean up the environment from these kinds of contaminants, but most of them are costly and difficult to use to get optimum results. Currently, phytoextraction is an effective and affordable technological solution used to extract or remove metals from contaminated soil and water by the use of plants as tools. This technology is environment-friendly and potentially cost-effective. This paper aims to compile some information about the two metals mercury and chromium, their effects and their possible treatment by phytoextraction, a branch of phytoremediation technologies aimed to confront metal/metalloid pollution. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Here in, we describe an ultrafast, single-step microwave irradiation route (MW) to prepare graphene supported Pt nanoparticles, during which the small Pt nanoparticles are distributed uniformly on a reduced graphene oxide surface. This route provides evident advantages namely low cost, easiness, low time consuming and high yield in comparison to actual chemical methods to develop efficient Pt/rGO catalyst with Pt content close to state-of-the-art commercial composition. The structure and composition of prepared samples have been studied by specific techniques, while the electrocatalytic stability has been studied using ex-situ and in-situ measurements. High performance and electrochemically stable catalyst for PEM fuel cells was developed using the sample with highest loading and good dispersion. The fabricated Pt-rGO-based MEA was investigated for durability under fuel starvation in comparison with commercial Pt/C-based MEA. The electrocatalytic activity was investigated and the electrochemical response revealed the higher stability during accelerated degradation test under fuel starvation in comparison with commercial Pt/C. This study promotes the applicability of described preparation method to noble or transition metal nanoparticles embedded on graphene-based materials.  相似文献

The authors assessed whether low executive cognitive functioning (ECF) and a difficult temperament are related to aggressive and nonaggressive forms of antisocial behavior (ASB) in 249, 14–18-year-old, conduct-disordered females and controls. ECF was measured using neuropsychological tests; temperament was measured using the Dimensions of Temperament Survey—Revised; and ASB was assessed using psychiatric symptom counts for conduct disorder. The conduct-disordered females exhibited lower ECF capacity and a greater difficult temperament compared with the controls. The combined influence of low ECF and difficult temperament was significantly related to both forms of ASB. In comparison with low ECF, difficult temperament was more strongly related to nonaggressive ASB, whereas in comparison with difficult temperament, low ECF was more strongly related to aggressive ASB. In this work an original CMOS implementation of a discrete-time deterministic-chaos algorithm for random bit generation is presented. The proposed circuit topology prevents the degradation of the generated-sequence statistical properties that can be caused by several factors, including the parameter spreading of the technological processes. Experimental results show that, with a final rate of 3 Mbit/s, the circuit is compliant with the most recent security requirements for cryptographic modules issued by the American National Institute of Standards and Technologies.  相似文献

In this article X‐band rectangular waveguides partially filled with the double‐side single ring resonator (DSRR) array are investigated for miniaturization, stop‐band, and multi‐band filters applications. Several rectangular waveguides loaded with the DSRR array in 2–10 GHz frequency band have been studied and optimized. We observe both the transversal negative permeability presented above the cutoff frequency and the backward‐wave located below the cutoff frequency with the DSRR array in X‐band waveguide. Both simulation and measurement results of DSRR array are with good agreement. The DSRR array provides better performance of the transversal negative permeability and the backward‐wave than the split‐ring resonator array. The physical explanation of backward‐wave is presented. The power loss distributions are clearly presented for the negative permeability attenuation and the backward‐wave propagation. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper we discuss the efficient implementation of pseudochaotic piecewise linear maps with high digitization accuracies, taking the R'enyi chaotic map as a reference. The proposed digital architectures are based on a novel algorithmic approach that uses carry save adders for the nonlinear arithmetic modular calculations arising when computing piecewise linear maps with a finite precision. As a result, the system can be implemented by digital circuits obtaining high throughputs, which are not dependent on the digital resolution while involving a hardware complexity linearly proportional to the number of bits used for representing the discretized state. The proposed solutions result to be particularly suitable for the implementation of pseudorandom number generators based on pseudochaos, or for the definition of efficient digital blocks that can be integrated in most of the pseudochaotic cyphers proposed in the literature. This article studies the influence of the network structure on the activation energies of the α and β relaxations in vulcanized styrene butadiene rubber, SBR. A cure system based on sulphur and TBBS (N‐t‐butyl‐2‐benzothiazole sulfenamide) was used in the formulation of several compounds cured at 433 K. The activation energies were evaluated from internal friction (loss tangent) data of the compounds using an automated subresonant forced pendulum in a wide frequency range and between 80 K and 273 K. The internal friction data of the samples reveal two transitions, α and β, characterized by the temperatures Tα and Tβ, due to the glass transition and the phenyl group rotation of the copolymer, respectively. Although Tα increases at higher crosslink density, it shows also a dependence with the amount of polysulphide and monosulphide linkages present in the samples. The highest activation energy for this process is obtained for the samples with high crosslink density and 30% of monosulphides in this structure. In the case of the β‐relaxation, there is a pronounced change in the activation energy between the uncured and the cured samples. The type of structure formed during vulcanization has an important effect in the activation energy of the segmental mode‐process. In the case of the β‐process, the cis‐trans isomerization that takes place during vulcanization in the butadiene part of the SBR, might be the cause of conformational changes in the surrounding of the phenyl rings that affect the energy barrier associated to the phenyl rotation. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
