Gelatin is useful for biofabrication, because it can be used for cell scaffolds and it has unique properties. Therefore, we attempted to fabricate biodevices of gelatin utilizing micro 3D printer which is able to print with high precision. However, it has been difficult to fabricate 3D structure of gelatin utilizing 3D printer, because a printed gelatin droplet on the metal plate electrode would spread before solidification. To clear this problem, we developed a new experimental set-up with a peltier device that can control temperature of the impact point. At an impact point temperature of 80 °C, the spreading of printed gelatin droplets was prevented. Therefore, we were able to print a ball gelatin. In addition, we were able to print a narrower gelatin line than at an impact point temperature of 20 °C. 相似文献

While a query result in a traditional database is a subset of the database, in a video database, it is a set of subintervals extracted from the raw video sequence. It is very hard, if not impossible, to predetermine all the queries that will be issued in the future, and all the subintervals that will become necessary to answer them. As a result, conventional query frameworks are not applicable to video databases. We propose a new video query model that computes query results by dynamically synthesizing needed subintervals from fragmentary indexed intervals in the database. We introduce new interval operations required for that computation. We also propose methods to compute relative relevance of synthesized intervals to a given query. Summary This paper presents a unique approach, named mathematical regularization, to remove the nearly-singular and singular integrals occurring in the boundary integral formulations for the solution of the boundary value problems with a pathologica integration boundary due to the very near or coinciding parts of the total boundary. The delayed retardation phenomena of fatigue crack growth resulting from a single application of overload were investigated for five steels, two aluminium alloys and a titanium alloy. As long as the small scale yielding condition was satisfied at the overloaded crack tips, the retardation behaviour of these materials was expressed consistently by four parameters; the peak/baseline stress ratio, r, the exponent in the Paris equation, m, the overload-affected zone size,
D, and the crack distance at the minimum rate of crack growth,

The definition of the cyclic J-integral is offered and its physical significance for fatigue crack growth is discussed using the Dugdale model on the assumption that the crack closure, cycle dependent creep deformation, and crack extension under cycling can be neglected. It is shown that the cyclic J-integral for small scale yielding is equivalent to theJ-integral for linear elastic crack independent of loading processes, while the value for large scale yielding varies with the loading processes. However, in both cases, the cyclicJ-integral remains constant during the reversal of loading under a constant stress range, if the first monotonic loading stage is excluded. In this situation, the cyclicJ-integral can be applied as a criterion for fatigue crack growth, since it is evaluated as a generalized force on dislocations to be moved or the energy flow rate to be dissipated to heat by the dislocation movements in an element just attached to the fatigued crack tip during one cycle of loading. It is suggested that the available experimental data of different materials for fatigue crack growth can be generalized to a unified formulation on the basis of the energy criterion. It is also deduced that the threshold J corresponding to K
th should be larger than 4 where is the surface energy of the material. Finally the operational definition of the cyclicJ-integral on single loadversus displacement curves is given for center cracked plate with wide uncracked ligaments in tension.
Résumé On présente la définition de l'intégrale J cyclique et sa signification physique dans le cas d'une croissance de fissure de fatigue est discutée en utilisant le modèle de Dugdale et l'hypothèse que la fermeture de la fissure, la déformation de fluage liée au cycle, et l'extension de la fissure au cours du cycle peuvent être négligées. On montre que l'intégraleJ cyclique est, dans le cas d'écoulement plastique à faible échelle, équivalente à l'intégraleJ utilisée pour les fissures élastiques linéaires indépendamment des processus de mise en charge, tandis que la valeur de déformation plastique macroscopique varie avec le processus de mise en charge. Cependant, dans les 2 cas, l'intégraleJ cyclique demeure constante au cours du renversement de charge appliquée à tension constante si l'on exclut le premier stade de mise en charge monotone. Dans cette situation, l'intégraleJ cyclique peut être appliquée comme critère de la croissance d'une fissure de fatigue puisqu'elle représente une forme généralisée de force, un effort sur les dislocations à mouvoir ou à l'écoulement d'énergie dissipée en chaleur par les mouvements de dislocation dans un élément immédiatement solidaire de l'extrémité de la fissure de fatigue, au cours d'un cycle de mise en charge. On suggère que les données expérimentales disponibles sur différents matériaux pour la croissance d'une fissure de fatigue puissent être généralisées à une formulation unifiée, sur base d'un critère d'énergie. On déduit également que le seuil J correspondant à K th devrait être plus grand que 4, où est l'énergie de surface du matériau. Partial discharge (PD) degradation of polyamide both without nanoscale fillers (nanofillers) and with 2,4 and 5 wt% additions of nanofillers was investigated. Such materials were subjected to PDs using the IEC (b) electrodes for evaluation. Comparisons were made as to the surface roughness observed by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. It was found that the change in the surface roughness is far smaller in specimens with nanofillers than those without nanofillers, and that the 2 wt% addition is sufficient for improvement of the surface roughness. Furthermore, it was elucidated that the difference of surface roughness of the degraded area due to PDs among the specimens originates from the difference in their crystalline structures. These results indicate that polyamide nanocomposite is more resistance to PDs than polyamide without nanofillers. 相似文献

The interrelationships between transfer and wear in polymers were studied using a pin-disk-type wear testing apparatus. The wear rates of polymers except polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) were high for up to about the first 100 revolutions of the disk and decreased gradually until the steady low wear rates which generally occurred after about 2000 revolutions. However, PTFE exhibited an almost constant high wear rate throughout the wear process. The thickness of transferred polymer increased rapidly with increasing number of revolutions in the initial wear stage but after about several hundred revolutions remained constant. A coherent transfer film was formed in most parts of the friction track after about 100 revolutions. It was found that polymer wear could occur in polymers sliding on a transferred polymer layer. All polymers except PTFE exhibited smaller wear rates when sliding on the transferred layer. The load dependence of the thickness was very small compared with that of the wear rate. PTFE produced a very dense and coherent transferred layer compared with that of other polymers. However, there was no clear relationship between friction and the thickness of the transferred polymer layer. 相似文献

In order to observe intracellular structures by scanning electron microscopy, excess cytoplasmic matrix must be removed from the fractured surface of cells. Previously we reported an Osmium-DMSO-Osmium method devised for this purpose. This method is very effective in revealing intracellular structures, but requires osmium tetroxide for initial fixation with some consequent disadvantages. In the present study, a revised Osmium-DMSO-Osmium method is reported, in which an aldehyde mixture is used as the initial fixative instead of osmium tetroxide. As fixation is carried out by perfusion in this revised method, better preservation of fine structures is achieved than by the original method, especially in the central nervous tissue which tends to suffer from post-mortem degeneration. Moreover this method can be applied to cytochemical studies of intracellular structures with a scanning electron microscope (SEM).
