Cooperative communication plays an important role in wireless networks by improving network connectivity, spectrum efficiency, power, and communication reliability. Moreover, cooperative communication also facilitates the development of a well-organized approach in order to improve the quality of wireless terminals. Besides, it enables the utilisation of communication resources by allowing the nodes and pathways in a network to cooperate with one another via data transmissions. To control a wireless network, cooperative communication must manage its power to improve a network’s energy efficiency, capacity and reliability. When information is transmitted at a higher power, this decreases the lifespans of both the nodes and the network itself. Thus, controlling over the transmission of power is essential to obtain a sufficient level of bit-error-rate (BER) performance at the receiver. Relay nodes can improve system performance by reducing power consumption. Moreover, the decode-and-forward method is one of the best cooperative relay protocols that can be used to achieve better system performance in power constraints and BERs. In the present paper, system model containing source, destination and relay node is analysed. One cooperative scheme which including decode and forward is employed and investigated. At the experimental and simulation levels, the present paper showed that the power in the transmitters was observed and calculated in order to show the savings which are resulting from the use of relay nodes. 相似文献

Exergames platform can be more appealing to the users if they can interact with emotion. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an automatic emotion recognition system from speech to be embedded in the Exergames platform. While playing and doing exercise, the user expresses his or her feeling by uttering some phrases. The speech is recorded by an omnidirectional mic and transmitted to an emotion recognition server in a cloud environment, where the emotion (e.g. happy, sad or neutral) is recognized. For the recognition, we use MPEG-7 low-level audio features and a Gaussian mixture model based classifier. A tactile vibration is generated based on the emotion and feedback to the user for a real feeling. The user can thus have an instantaneous vibrational feeling based on his or her satisfaction. The recognized emotion can also be used as the user’s satisfaction of the framework on the fly without the need of a survey session. The experimental study and performance comparison show that the proposed framework has positive effects on the perception of physical activities. 相似文献

In recent years, multimedia cloud computing is becoming a promising technology that can effectively process multimedia services and provide quality of service (QoS) provisioning for multimedia applications from anywhere, at any time and on any device at lower costs. However, there are two major challenges exist in this emerging computing paradigm: one is task management, which maps multimedia tasks to virtual machines, and the other is resource management, which maps virtual machines (VMs) to physical servers. In this study, we aim at providing an efficient solution that jointly addresses these challenges. In particular, a queuing based approach for task management and a heuristic algorithm for resource management are proposed. By adopting allocation deadline in each VM request, both task manager and VM allocator receive better chances to optimize the cost while satisfying the constraints on the quality of multimedia service. Various simulations were conducted to validate the efficiency of the proposed task and resource management approaches. The results showed that the proposed solutions provided better performance as compared to the existing state-of-the-art approaches. 相似文献

Cloud computing technology offers the possibility of inter-organizational medical data sharing at a larger scale. The different organizations can maintain their own cloud environment while exchanging healthcare data among them in a peer-to-peer(P2P) fashion according to some defined polices. However, there are many security and privacy challenges that hamper the adoption of cloud computing solutions in healthcare domain. Besides, due to the privacy sensitivity of healthcare data, an organization may not wish to disclose its identity to others when exchanging data in the network to avoid different attacks by the intruders. Hence, anonymously authenticated data exchange is essential between the different peer organizations. In this paper we propose an anonymous on-the-fly secure data exchange protocol for such environment based on pairing-based cryptography. Our proposed solution allows cloud peers to dynamically generate temporary identities that are used to produce a session key for each session of data exchange. The proposed protocol is robust against different attacks, such as target-oriented, man-in-the middle, masquerade, and message manipulation attacks. 相似文献

The binding of the scaffolding protein MO25 to SPAK and OSR1 protein kinases, which regulate ion homeostasis, causes increases of up to 100‐fold in their catalytic activity. Various animal models have shown that the inhibition of SPAK and OSR1 lowers blood pressure, and so here we present a new indirect approach to inhibiting SPAK and OSR1 kinases by targeting their protein partner MO25. To explore this approach, we developed a fluorescent polarisation assay and used it in screening of a small in‐house library of ≈4000 compounds. This led to the identification of one compound—HK01—as the first small‐molecule inhibitor of the MO25‐dependent activation of SPAK and OSR1 in vitro. Our data confirm the feasibility of targeting this protein–protein interaction by small‐molecule compounds and highlights their potential to modulate ion co‐transporters and thus cellular electrolyte balance. 相似文献
