High volume production environments create great challenges for production testing and verification of Radio Frequency (RF) devices. In this environment, much emphasis is put on parallel testing, or the ability to test multiple devices at the same time using a single tester. In order for this parallelism to become a reality, there is a need for production RF tests to be simplified and reduced to requiring only the simplest test stimulus and analysis. In this paper, we present a new method of measuring the performance of a Frequency Modulation (FM) receiver that requires only a continuous wave signal input in order to eliminate the more costly Signal-to-Noise Ratio test. Using this new technique we will then demonstrate how simplifying this test and adding frequency diversity enables testing of up to 8 devices in parallel using a single tester.  相似文献

Charge transport in the ribbon phase of poly(2,5‐bis(3‐alkylthiophen‐2‐yl)thieno[3,2‐b]thiophene) (PBTTT)—one of the most highly ordered, chain‐extended crystalline microstructures available in a conjugated polymer semiconductor—is studied. Ribbon‐phase PBTTT has previously been found not to exhibit high carrier mobilities, but it is shown here that field‐effect mobilities depend strongly on the device architecture and active interface. When devices are constructed such that the ribbon‐phase films are in contact with either a polymer gate dielectric or an SiO2 gate dielectric modified by a hydrophobic, self‐assembled monolayer, high mobilities of up to 0.4 cm2 V?1 s?1 can be achieved, which is comparable to those observed previously in terrace‐phase PBTTT. In uniaxially aligned, zone‐cast films of ribbon‐phase PBTTT the mobility anisotropy is measured for transport both parallel and perpendicular to the polymer chain direction. The mobility anisotropy is relatively small, with the mobility along the polymer chain direction being higher by a factor of 3–5, consistent with the grain size encountered in the two transport directions.  相似文献

A bidirectional electromagnetic screen is proposed and demonstrated with properties that can be switched between high reflection, absorption and transmission over /spl sim/10 ns. The screen comprises frequency selective surfaces loaded with pin diodes, which under partial biasing conditions provide the loss mechanism for the absorption state of the screen.  相似文献

Majority of practical multivariate statistical analysis and optimizations model interdependence among random variables in terms of the linear correlation. Though linear correlation is simple to use and evaluate, in several cases non-linear dependence between random variables may be too strong to ignore. In this paper, we propose polynomial correlation coefficients as simple measure of multi-variable non-linear dependence and show that the need for modeling non-linear dependence strongly depends on the end function that is to be evaluated from the random variables. Then, we calculate the errors in estimation resulting from assuming independence of components generated by linear de-correlation techniques, such as PCA and ICA. The experimental results show that the error predicted by our method is within 1% error compared to the real simulation of statistical timing and leakage analysis. In order to deal with non-linear dependence, we further develop a target-function-driven component analysis algorithm (FCA) to minimize the error caused by ignoring high order dependence. We apply FCA to statistical leakage power analysis and SRAM cell noise margin variation analysis. Experimental results show that the proposed FCA method is more accurate compared to the traditional PCA or ICA.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors describe their experiences with a real world case study that involved a buy versus lease decision for a government agency. The study was divided into two major parts: (1) the financial implications of buy versus lease; and (2) a multicriteria decision making (MCDM) model that explored the impact of both the tangible and intangible factors in a buy versus lease decision. The selected MCDM approach was the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The study concluded that the lease option can be beneficial to both parties if the subjective criteria are considered  相似文献

A data compression technique to efficiently compress the scattered fields from complex targets is presented. Since at high frequencies the scattered fields from complex radar targets exhibit a highly localized behavior, the data compression technique is based on extracting and then sampling the responses associated with individual scattering mechanisms. The compression technique preserves the angle as well as the frequency variation of individual scattering mechanisms and, thus, leads to small reconstruction error. The proposed technique, however, is a lossy process in the sense that a tradeoff exists between the compression ratio and the data reconstruction error. The smaller the data reconstruction error, the smaller the compression ratio. The effectiveness of the technique is demonstrated by compressing measured scattered fields of a complex target  相似文献

The electrical effects of dislocations has been studied by modeling zero-bias resistance-area product (R0A) of long wavelength infrared diodes fabricated in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE)-grown HgCdTe-Si epitaxial films. Results show that dislocations influence both 40 K and 78 K R0A products in high dislocation density (HgCdTe/Si) material. In low dislocation density samples (HgCdTe/CdZnTe), the variations in 78 K R0A are limited by the composition (x) variations in Hg1-xCdxTe material, whereas dislocation contribution dominates the variations at 40 K. The origin of relatively large spread in 40 K R0A in both types of samples is traced to the statistical variations in the core charges of dislocations. It is concluded that additional alternatives besides the reduction of dislocation density (such as control of core charges), may also need attention in order to make Si a viable substrate material for the growth of HgCdTe epitaxial layers suitable for devices operating at 40 K.  相似文献

We analyze the error performance of an improved hybrid selection/maximal-ratio combining (H-S/MRC) technique called minimum selection H-S/MRC in flat Rayleigh fading for coherent digital modulation schemes. Here the minimum number of diversity branches are selected such that their combined signal-to-noise ratio is above a given threshold. We derive a closed-form expression for the distribution of the number of selected branches. This distribution is used to obtain the symbol error probability.  相似文献

A digital channel multiplexer for satellite outdoor unit running at 1 GHz clock frequency is implemented in 65 nm CMOS mixed oxide dual voltage technology. This multiplexer, based on a 1 GS/s digital signal processor (DSP) approach with 500 MHz input and output bandwidth, embeds two 8 bit 1 GS/s analog-digital converters (ADCs) and two 8 bit 1 GS/s digital-analog converter (DACs). It consumes less that 1022 mW at ambient temperature while achieving noise rejection up to 42.5 dB on a single tone, and > 37 dB on modulated satellite channels.  相似文献
