The nature of cysteine and cystine uptake from the cerebral capillary lumen was studied in the rat using the carotid injection technique, [35S]-Cysteine uptake was readily inhibited by the synthetic amino acid 2-aminobicyclo(2,2,1)heptane-2-carboxylic acid (BCH), the defining substrate for the leucine-preferring (L) system in the Ehrlich ascites cell. The addition of nonradioactive alanine or serine, representatives of the alanine, serine, and cysteine-preferring (ASC) system, produced no significant decrease in the uptake of cysteine after cysteine transport by the L system was blocked with BCH. This indicated that the major component of cysteine's transport from the brain capillary lumen was by the L system with no detectable uptake of cysteine by the ASC system. No carrier-mediated transport of cystine, the disulfide form of the amino acid, was detected, nor was there any inhibition by cystine of the transport of the neutral amino acid methionine or the basic amino acid arginine. These results suggest that the ASC system, if present, is not quantitatively important for the transport of neutral amino acids from the brain capillary lumen.  相似文献

Chromosome complements of murine thymic lymphomas induced by an alkylating agent N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNUA) were analyzed microscopically and karyotypically using the Q-banding technique. The chemical carcinogen was injected intraperitoneally into either neonatal or 7-week-old CFW/D mice. In addition, thymic lymphomas induced in 7-week-old AKR mice and thymic lymphomas developed spontaneously in this strain were also examined. All six lymphomas induced in neonatal CFW/D had hyperdiploid cell lines that accounted for 90% of the cells analyzed. Chromosome analysis of lymphomas induced in adult DFW/D mice showed that only out of nine lymphomas had predominantly hyperdiploid cell lines. The remaining five lymphomas had diploid modal chromosome number although they also carried a variant line characterized by 41 chromosomes. All eight lymphomas induced in adult AKR mice and six out of seven spontaneous AKR lymphomas showed predominantly diploid modal line. The remaining spontaneous lymphoma had a hyperdiploid stem line of 41 chromosomes. Microscopic and karyotypic analysis further identified trisomy 15 as the regular chromosome abnormality in the hyperdiploid cells in lymphomas of each group, whereas cells with diploid chromosome number had no detectable chromosome abnormality. Additional trisomies were also found, but their appearance was restricted to individual tumors. Thus, the incidence of trisomy 15 in lymphomas induced by MNUA in adult CFW/D and AKR mice, as well as in the spontaneous AKR lymphomas, is significantly lower than that in lymphomas induced in neonatal mice by the same carcinogen.  相似文献

The fat in 220 samples from 35 food types has been analyzed for component fatty acids by gas liquid chromatography on a 15-m capillary column coated with SP-2340. The methodology permitted the determination of trans-octadecenoic fatty acids in the food samples. For food types in which the majority of samples containedtrans fatty acids, the range (weight percent of methyl esters) of this class of acids arranged by fat content of the food types was: high fat levels (>70% fat) — animal and dairy fats, 0.3–6.6%, stick margarines, 15.9–31.0%, tub margarines, 6.8–17.6%, and vegetable shortenings, 8.7–35.4%; moderately high fat levels (40–70% fat) —diet margarines, 11.3–13.3%; moderate fat levels (10–40% fat) — breading mixes and fried crusts, 8.1–32.7%, cakes, candies and frostings, 3.2–33.2%, cream substitutes, 0.4–11.5%, cookies, 2.5–34.2%, crackers, 1.9–29.0%, pastries and pastry crusts, 0.6–31.2%, corn and mixed grain snack chips, 0.4–30.4%; low fat levels (<10% fat) - breads and rolls, 0.2–23.6%, pretzels, 10.8–29.2%, and puddings, 28.4-35.1%. The majority of samples in the following food types did not containtrans fatty acids, except in cases where the label indicated partial hydrogenation of the oil: mayonnaises and salad dressings, salad and cooking oils and potato chips. For samples in these three food types which containedtrans fatty acids, the range was 0.2-23.2%. None of the peanut butters or pizza crusts analyzed containedtrans fatty acids.  相似文献

The increase of the concentration of fatty acids, the reduction in the concentration of serotonin, the lowering of the activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and transketolase, and the development of compensated metabolic acidosis were discovered in the stage that preceded strophanthine arrhythmia. A technique to improve the adaptation transient in discrete-time model reference adaptive control (MRAC) systems is given on the basis of applying classical optimization techniques to an equivalent near-linear system to the whole adaptive scheme. The resulting optimization is finally translated into modifications of one of the parameters entering the adaptation algorithm. This permits computation of a posteriori values of the adaptive controller parameters before generation of the input to the plant.  相似文献

In this paper the design of compensators for uncertain continuous plants is investigated. The standard derived compensators are based on the application of the internal model control (IMC) method. The required a priori knowledge on the plant is rather weak, namely, an upper bound of the plant relative order, the numbers of the strictly unstable and critically unstable plant poles being integrators and upper and lower bounds of the amplitude-versus-frequency plot over the low frequency band in the case of minimum-phase open-loop systems. If the open-loop system has unstable zeros and/or poles then the above bounds are required to be known for a modified magnitude plot which substitutes the unstable zeros (poles) by stable poles (zeros) which are their complex-conjugate reflections on the left-hand plane. An absolute upper bound of the open-loop phase plot is obtained on a finite frequency interval which allows the closed-loop system to guarantee a prescribed relative stability in many practical situations. The method is dependent on the alternative design of phase lead/lag classical compensators and to indirect adaptive control situations where the adaptive identifier is used for the parametrization of the adaptive controller.  相似文献

A mobile robot needs to know its position and orientation with accuracy in order to decide the control actions that permit it to finish the entrusted tasks successfully. To obtain this information, dead-reckoning-based systems have been used, and more recently inertial navigation systems. However, these systems have some errors that grow bigger as time goes by, therefore a moment comes when the information provided is useless. Because of this, there should be a periodic process that updates the robot position and orientation of the vehicle. The process to determine the robot position and orientation by using information originated from the external sensors is defined as the mobile robot relocalization. It is obvious that the greater the frequency of this process, the better the knowledge of its position the robot will have, and therefore its movements will be better directed to the point it must reach. The algorithm to achieve this can be classified in two large groups: relocalization through an a priori map of the environment and relocalization through the detection of landmarks present in that environment. The algorithm presented in the paper belongs to the first case. The sensor used is a combination of a laser diode and a CCD camera. The sensorial information is modelled as straight lines that will be matched with an a priori map of the environment. With this, the position of the mobile robot is estimated. The matching process is accomplished within an extended Kalman filter. The algorithm is able to work in real time, and it actualizes the position of the robot in a continuous way.  相似文献

Some solutions which involve iterative optimization techniques are given to improve adaptation transients in adaptive systems. Two suboptimal controllers are developed and applied to an equivalent discrete-time system valid for describing the behaviour of a recent adaptive control scheme when one of the (time-varying) parameters entering the adaptation algorithm varies within a closed domain admissible from a convergence point of view. The resulting suboptimal control strategies are translated into corrections of this parameter in order to recompute the adaptation algorithm over a finite horizon. Some numerical simulations illustrate the usefulness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献
