The formation and motion of gas bubbles in the melt substantially affect the heat exchange and kinetics of chemical transformations when performing the fire refining of copper in the ladle furnace. The variation in the bubble velocity, as well as of the volume and surface of the moving gas bubble over the melt height, is considered in the presented mathematical model.  相似文献

The explosive transformation of mixtures of HMX and benzoyl peroxide with aluminum was studied. Aluminum oxides formed during initiation of an impact explosion were investigated. An x-ray analysis showed that aluminum is not oxidized during explosion of its mixtures with benzoyl peroxide. An analysis was made of aluminum oxides formed during explosion of HMX mixtures with aluminum hydride and ternary mixtures of aluminum, HMX, and benzoyl peroxide. It was found that the state of aluminum introduced into the composition and the explosion temperature influence the structure of aluminum oxide (Al8/3O4), whose lattice is a derivative of the spinel lattice.  相似文献

Thermohydraulic studies of reactor facilities with fast reactors are complex experimentally and computationally. Extensive experimental data are obtained on the velocity and temperature profiles, hydrodynamic resistance and heat emission, initial heat section, and interchannel mixing of the coolant in the fuel assemblies. These are used to develop engineering methods of performing thermohydraulic calculations of fuel assemblies as well as computational compute codes. The particulars of the hydrodynamics and heat transfer in intermediate heat exchangers and steam generators of reactor facilities with fast reactors are studied. This has made it possible to validate their thermohydraulic characteristics.  相似文献

Kinetic regularities of the oxidative autoclave dissolution of iron, copper, and nickel sulfides when leaching the ore of the Shanuch deposit are investigated in controllable experimental conditions. It is shown that the dissolution rate of sulfides is limited by the oxygen absorption.  相似文献

In-mould superficial carburising of steel castings has been carried out by two methods. The first is based on the use of carbon fibres, which are applied to the surface of the mould cavity. These are readily wetted and impregnated by liquid steel. During solidification and cooling the carbon fibres dissolve and produce a layer with the structure of a high-carbon steel or white iron. The use of carbon powders is not efficient as their capillary properties are lower than those of carbon fibres. In the second method, soot can be used instead of carbon fibres because the liquid phase is generated inside the layer following a reaction between carbon and metal particles. Alloying the powder mixture with particles of ferroalloys or metals leads to the formation of a liquid + solid slurry that “stabilises” the formation of a carburised and alloyed layer. Use of a cheap brand of carbon fibre felt is preferable in all cases.  相似文献

The results of studies of hole energy states in vertically coupled quantum dots in InAs-GaAs p-n heterostructures by deep-level transient spectroscopy are reported. Spectra were recorded at different reverse-bias voltages. Levels related to bonding and antibonding s and p states of vertically coupled quantum dots were revealed. The energies of these states significantly depend on an external electric field applied to a heterostructure. This dependence was attributed to the quantum-dimensional Stark effect for the hole states of vertically coupled quantum dots. In addition to this, it was found that the energy of thermal activation of carriers from vertically coupled quantum dots depends on the conditions of isochronous annealing that was carried out both with the reverse bias switched-on and switched-off and both in the presence and absence of illumination. These changes, as in the case of isolated quantum dots, are typical of a bistable electrostatic dipole formed by carriers, localized in a coupled quantum dot, and ionized lattice point defects. The built-in electric field of this dipole reduces the energy barrier for the carriers in the coupled quantum dot. The investigated structures with vertically coupled quantum dots were grown using molecular-beam epitaxy taking account of self-assembling effects.  相似文献

Abstract— A passively addressed 64 × 64 ferroelectric liquid‐crystal display (FLCD) has been developed. The display matrix has a 33 × 33 mm2 aperture, and the FLC layer thickness is 5.2 ± 0.2 μm. The display device operates with a frame frequency of 30 Hz (at Vrow = ±18 V, Vcol = ±9 V, T = 23°C), generating a continuous gray scale which can be memorized for more than 10 days after the driving voltage is switched off. A new approach for multiplex electronic addressing of the FLCD gray scale is proposed. The conditions of the hysteresis‐free gray‐scale generation for multiplex addressing and the gray‐scale memorization after the voltage is switched off, as well as the time steadiness of memorized images, are considered.  相似文献

Deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) is used to study electron emission from the states in the system of vertically correlated InAs quantum dots in the p-n InAs/GaAs heterostructures, in relation to the thickness of the GaAs spacer between the two layers of InAs quantum dots and to the reverse-bias voltage. It is established that, with the 100 Å GaAs spacer, the InAs/GaAs heterostructure manifests itself as a system of uncoupled quantum dots. The DLTS spectra of such structures exhibit two peaks that are defined by the ground state and the excited state of an individual quantum dot, with energy levels slightly shifted (by 1–2 eV), due to the Stark effect. For the InAs/GaAs heterostructure with two layers of InAs quantum dots separated by the 40 Å GaAs spacer, it is found that the quantum dots are in the molecule-type phase. Hybridization of the electron states of two closely located quantum dots results in the splitting of the levels into bonding and antibonding levels corresponding to the electron ground states and excited states of the 1s +, 1s ?, 2p +, 2p ?, and 3d + types. These states manifest themselves as five peaks in the DLTS spectra. For these quantum states, a large Stark shift of energy levels (10–40 meV) and crossing of the dependences of the energy on the electric field are observed. The structures with vertically correlated quantum dots are grown by molecular beam epitaxy, with self-assembling effects.  相似文献
