Social annotation systems enable the organization of online resources with user-defined keywords. Collectively these annotations provide a rich information space in which users can discover resources, organize and share their finds, and connect to other users with similar interests. However, the size and complexity of these systems can lead to information overload and reduced utility for users. For these reasons, researchers have sought to apply the techniques of recommender systems to deliver personalized views of social annotation systems. To date, most efforts have concentrated on the problem of tag recommendation – personalized suggestions for possible annotations. Resource recommendation has not received the same systematic evaluation, in part because the task is inherently more complex. In this article, we provide a general formulation for the problem of resource recommendation in social annotation systems that captures these variants, and we evaluate two cases: basic resource recommendation and tag-specific resource recommendation. We also propose a linear-weighted hybrid framework for resource recommendation. Using six real-world datasets, we show that its integrative approach is essential for this recommendation task and provides the most adaptability given the varying data characteristics in different social annotation systems. We find that our algorithm is more effective than other more mathematically-complex techniques and has the additional advantages of flexibility and extensibility. 相似文献

Dynamic tensile tests are conducted on aluminum alloy (AA) 6061-T6 using a high-speed servohydraulic machine at intermediate strain rates to validate the testing technique and to investigate the strain-rate effect on the material’s stress-strain behavior and failure mode. We present the experimental procedures and results discussing the constitutive response of the alloy at strain rates up to approximately 200??s-1. The predominant frequencies of the high-speed testing machine were characterized by modal analysis, and we analyzed the effect from vibration of the system and loading rate on flow stress by using a single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) spring-mass-damper model. We tested two different specimen sizes at a wide range of actuator velocities to achieve the desired strain rates. Results show that the yield strength, ultimate strength, and failure strain were dependent on strain rate. We fitted the data to the Johnson-Cook (JC) constitutive model, and the resulting parameters are comparable to published results in the literature. The fracture surface of specimens tested at different strain rates obtained by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the ductile failure mode was dominant for the alloy, and strain rates within the range examined affected the fracture morphology. 相似文献

Losartan, an angiotensin II type-1 receptor (AT1) antagonist, was used to investigate whether it can offer protection against the sustained hypertension, cardiac hypertrophy, and renal damage induced by chronic inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) by Nomega-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME). We studied the involvement of both NO metabolism and oxidative stress in L-NAME-induced hypertension, and how AT1 receptor antagonism may interact. Male Wistar albino rats were subjected to NO synthesis inhibition by the use of L-NAME (60 mg/kg/day), and the effects of losartan (10 mg/kg/day) in drinking water for six weeks were observed. After six weeks, animals were subjected to the measurements for systolic, mean, and diastolic blood pressure (BPs, BPm, and BPd, respectively). Under light ether anesthesia blood was withdrawn for ACE activity, NOx and creatinine determinations. Heart and kidneys were weighed, and organ indices were calculated comparing to their body weights. These tissues were immediately preserved for GSH, MDA, NOx estimations. Chronic L-NAME treatment raised BPs, BPm, and BPd, respectively, above the normal. Treatment also increased NOx in plasma, significantly decreased it in the heart, and tended to increase it in kidney. L-NAME caused GSH depletion in the heart and kidney tissues with a concomitant increase in MDA contents in both the tissues. Plasma creatinine doubled in L-NAME-treated animals. Plasma ACE activity showed a nonsignificant decrease below control. Concurrent treatment with losartan almost completely inhibited any rise in blood pressure. Losartan replenished the partly depleted cardiac and renal antioxidant GSH and ameliorated the increase of oxidative stress damage index, MDA. However, losartan alone did not change appreciably the plasma level or cardiac and renal contents of NO,. Losartan plus L-NAME treatment caused an increase in plasma ACE activity above control. Furthermore, losartan ameliorated the L-NAME induced increase in creatinine back to value nonsignificantly different from control. 相似文献

Int J Impact Eng, in press], details of the experiments to characterize the behavior of dry fabrics including Kevlar®49, and ballistic tests involving the fabric were presented. In this second part of the paper, we discuss the development and verification of a constitutive model for dry fabrics for use in an explicit finite element program. The developed constitutive model is implemented as a user-defined subroutine in LS-DYNA, a commercial finite element program. It is then used to simulate a suite of ballistic tests [Naik D, Sankaran S, Mobasher B, Rajan SD, Pereira M. Development of reliable modeling methodologies for fan blade-out containment analysis. Part I: experimental studies. Int J Impact Eng, in press] that replicate conditions seen in an engine fan blade out (FBO) event. A qualitative and quantitative comparison of the deformation shape of the fabric containment system and a quantitative comparison of the absorbed energy are carried out.
