In this study, a failure analysis was performed on the location axle (brace axle) of a blade on a tracked tractor used in agricultural areas. The analysis included evaluation of the macrostructure of the damage and the microstructure of the material, as well as a chemical analysis of the material. A commercial finite element method software package was used to determine the behavior of the location axle under the defined boundary conditions. After all the examination steps were completed, the main reason for the damage was determined to be manufacture and material error despite the presence of fatigue tracks in the damaged area. In addition, a heat treatment was carried out with the specimens taken from the damaged area and microstructure was re-examined. The experimental and simulation evaluation results provide a technical basis for suggestions to prevent future damage to the location axle.  相似文献

The classical Jacobi matrix polynomials only for commutative matrices were first studied by Defez et al. [E. Defez, L. Jódar, A. Law. Jacobi matrix differential equation, polynomial solutions and their properties, Comput. Math. Appl. 48 (2004) 789–803]. The main aim of this paper is to construct a multivariable extension with the help of the classical Jacobi matrix polynomials (JMPs). Generating matrix functions and recurrence relations satisfied by these multivariable matrix polynomials are derived. Furthermore, general families of multilinear and multilateral generating matrix functions are obtained and their applications are presented.  相似文献

Preparation of nano-size ZrB2 powder by SHS has been investigated. Zr and B elemental powders were mixed with 10–50 wt.% NaCl, and prepared pellets were reacted under argon. Adiabatic temperatures were calculated by HSC software. Increasing NaCl content led to a continuous decrease in adiabatic temperatures and reaction wave velocity. Products were subjected to XRD, SEM and FESEM analyses. Average crystallite size of ZrB2, which was 303 nm without NaCl, decreased to 32 nm with 40% NaCl addition. Distinct decrease in ZrB2 particle size was also observed from SEM analyses. 30% NaCl addition was found to be optimum for ensuring a stable SHS reaction and providing the formation of nano-size ZrB2 particles. It was revealed from particle size distribution measurements that ZrB2 powder obtained by 30 wt.% NaCl addition contained particles mostly finer than 200 nm. A mechanism, similar to solution-precipitation was proposed for the particle size refining effect of NaCl.  相似文献

Summary Low molecular weight atactic polypropylene (APP) was functionalized with 4-allyl-2-methoxyphenol (eugenol), 4-allyl-1,2-dimethoxybenzene (DMAB), 4-propenylanisole(trans-anethole), cis-2,4,5-trimethoxypropenylbenzene (β-asarone) and 4-allyl-2,6-dimethoxyphenol (ADMP) in the presence of dicumyl peroxide (DCP) at 170°C. Amount of grafted eugenol, DMAB and anethole on APP and characterization of the products were carried by UV-VIS and FTIR spectroscopies respectively. The effects of the reaction time, concentrations of the functional compounds and DCP on the extent of grafting were examined. The critical conditions leading to fracture in elongation and different types of flow instabilities were examined in uniaxial elongation and in a capillary rheometer equipped with dies having different entry profiles. Either ductile or brittle fracture may be observed, ductile being related to necking of material. The critical stress approach was used to predict fracture in elongation. All linear polymers studied in this work exhibited ductile fracture in uniaxial elongation, but the transition to brittle fracture is discussed in relation to existing experiments with other materials. In a ductile fracture regime, critical stress and work both increase with an increasing rate of deformation, whereas in a brittle regime the critical values remain constant. The converging flow studies indicated that two types of flow instability that have been previously related to each other, namely, pressure oscillations and voltions distortions, are of different origins. The critical flow rate for pressure oscillations is independent of entry profile, and the origin for this type of instability lies along the wall of the capillary. On the other hand, the critical flow rate for volume distortions increased with a decreasing entry angle, indicating that volume distortions are not a consequence of pressure oscillation, nor are their origin at the capillary wall. Numerical simulations were used to determine the stress profiles within the flow, and it was shown that the onset of volume distortions is directly related to the magnitude of elongational stress and work, and may therefore be considered to be caused by fracture in elongation. In dies with 90° entry profile, volume distortions were observed simultaneously with pressure oscillations, making it difficult to distinguish between the two phenomena.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to assess the efficiency of a 1% chlorhexidine-containing varnish (Cervitec, Vivadent, Liechtenstein) on the levels of Streptococcus mutans in saliva of patients with fixed orthodontic appliances using the Dentocult-SM (Vivadent, Liechtenstein) technique for the microbiological investigation. Eighty subjects participated in the study and, divided randomly into two equal groups in which one group was treated with the placebo varnish (Vivadent, Liechtenstein) for negative controls. Streptococcus mutans in saliva of the subject was sampled and enumerated by using the Dentocult-SM dip-slide technique for periods of one, two four and twelve weeks after a single varnish application. The results were evaluated statistically. After the chlorhexidine containing varnish treatment the levels of Streptococcus mutans in saliva were significantly reduced after one week (p < 0.01) and continued reduction for one month (p < 0.05). After twelve weeks Streptococcus mutans levels in saliva were given a relative increase. No significant suppression was found in the placebo group (p > 0.05). The results suggested that Cervitec varnish reduces salivary Streptococcus mutans levels and that the application should be repeated every 3 months to get antibacterial effect.  相似文献

In this study corrosion behavior of low alloy steel, in the presence of anaerobic sulfate‐reducing Desulfotomaculum sp. which was isolated from an oil production well, was investigated. In order to determine corrosion rates and mechanisms, mass loss measurements and electrochemical polarization studies were performed without and with bacteria in the culture medium. Scanning electron microscopic observations and energy dispersive X‐ray spectra (EDS) analysis were made on steel coupons. The effect of iron concentration on corrosion behavior was determined by Tafel extrapolation method. In a sterile culture medium, as the FeSO4 · 7H2O concentration increased, corrosion potential (Ecor) values shifted towards more anodic potentials and corrosion current density (Icor) values increased considerably. After inoculation of sulfate‐reducing bacteria (SRB), Ecor shifted towards cathodic values. Icor values increased with increasing incubation time for 10 and 100 mg/L concentrations of FeSO4 · 7H2O. Results have shown that the corrosion activity changed due to several factors such as bacterial metabolites, ferrous sulfide, hydrogen sulfide, iron phosphide, and cathodic depolarization effect.  相似文献

Recent studies have pointed to the heptamethylbenzenium cation as a prominent intermediate in the methanol to hydrocarbons (MTH) reaction. The reactions of the heptamethylbenzenium cation in a H-beta zeolite was studied at 300 °C by feeding its corresponding base (WHSV = 0.4 h?1). The reactant was converted completely into aliphatic products, polymethylbenzenes and coke under the employed conditions. The results testify that the proposed reaction intermediate yields the same product spectrum as methanol. The composition of the material retained in the catalyst micropores after 15 min of reaction was determined by dissolving the catalyst in 15% HF. Polymethylated benzenes (predominantly pentamethylbenzene), dihydro-trimethylnaphthalenes, and hexamethylnaphthalene were the major components. The results also support the idea that the lowest naphthalene derivative is formed from the heptamethylbenzenium cation by a molecular rearrangement. Hence, the heptamethylbenzenium cation is inherently linked to both product formation and catalyst deactivation in the MTH reaction.  相似文献
