The material properties of new sulphonated phenolic resin (SP) reinforced cement mortars have been investigated. SP was found to promote the dispersion of cement particles and to interact with Ca(OH)2. As a result, the resulting mortars exhibit better workability, more compact structure and higher compressive strength than plain mortars. The mortar with 1 wt% SP present after 28 days curing exhibits a compressive strength of 66MPa, which is about 18% higher than that of plain mortar.  相似文献

Two types of errors resulting from the numerical evaluation of a transducer's spatial impulse response function have been identified, One is geometric and is due to the mismatch between the emulated piston surface (approximated using many small planar elements) and the true surface. The other error is algebraic and is due to the inexact formulation of the response of the emulated surface. The deviations from the true response were calculated for three different pistons. The results indicate that the shape and placement of the elements are important for the computational accuracy  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: Disturbances in gastrointestinal function may result from disordered eating and may lead to increases in gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms. We compared GI symptoms in obese and non-obese binge eaters and non-binge eaters. METHODS: One hundred nineteen obese and 77 normal-weight females completed a questionnaire on bowel symptoms and binge eating behaviors for the previous 3 months. Based on binge behaviors and body mass index (> 30 kg/m2), individuals were grouped as obese binge eaters (n = 73), obese non-binge eaters (n = 43), non-obese binge eaters (n = 14), and normal-weight controls (n = 61). RESULTS: Obese binge eaters reported more upper GI symptoms than normal controls or obese non-binge eaters (p < 0.001). Compared with normal controls, nausea, vomiting, and bloating was 2-4 times more prevalent in both binge eating groups. Indigestion was more prevalent in both obese groups. Obese binge eaters reported more lower GI symptoms than normal-weight controls (p < 0.05). Binge eating in both weight groups was associated with more frequent abdominal pain and dyschezia. Obesity was associated with more frequent constipation, diarrhea, straining, and flatus, whether or not subjects reported binge eating. Chi-square showed a significant association between obesity, binge eating, and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, using the Manning criteria. CONCLUSIONS: Specific GI symptoms were associated with binge eating and obesity. Overall, symptoms were more prevalent and more severe in obese binge eaters. The high prevalence of GI symptoms in obese patients who indulge in binge eating should be considered in their evaluation and treatment.  相似文献

In this article, we study the design of observer-based robust linear feedback controllers. The uncertainty, which can enterA, and either theB orC matrices, is assumed to satisfy certain matching conditions. Lyapunov techniques are used to establish sufficient conditions for stability, given an uncertainty bound. In particular, sufficient conditions are obtained that, if met, result in stabilizing controllers regardless of the size of the uncertainty entering the system matrix, as long as the standard constraints on the uncertainty entering the input or output matrices are met. As with the case of more general forms of uncertainty, the resulting observers often have high gains. To study performance, the problem of disturbance rejection is considered. Sufficient conditions are presented for obtaining control laws that stabilize the closed loop system, regardless of the size of the uncertainty entering the system matrix, while simultaneously guaranteeing arbitrarily small infinity norm for the transfer function from the plant disturbances to the outputs.  相似文献

Fourier-transform-limited pulses ( Delta tau . Delta nu approximately=0.35) have been obtained from a microwave-modulated DBR laser at 1.56 mu m. The chirp of the gain-switched pulse is compensated for by applying a fraction of the microwave signal to the phase section, thereby creating an instantaneous frequency shift of opposite sign. The generation of short coherent pulses from such a monolithic source can be of great interest for long haul soliton transmission.<>  相似文献

Electrical characterization of evaporated ZnS:Mn alternating-current thin-film electroluminescent (ACTFEL) devices is accomplished by capacitance-voltage (C-V) analysis. Interpretation of these C-V characteristics is aided by SPICE modeling and by electrical characterization of an ideal ACTFEL device constructed from discrete components, based on a simple equivalent circuit for the ACTFEL device. Novel types of opening operator (NOP) and closing operator (NCP) are proposed. An adaptive morphological filter is then constructed on the basis of the NOP and NCP. The filter can remove any details consisting of fewer pixels than a given number N, while preserving the other details. It is proposed to specify a filter only in terms of upper and lower limits on the response, find the shortest filter length which allows these constraints to be met, and then find a filter of that order which is farthest from the upper and lower constraint boundaries in a minimax sense. The simplex algorithm for linear programming is used to find a best linear-phase FIR filter of minimum length, as well as to find the minimum feasible length itself. The simplex algorithm, while much slower than exchange algorithms, also allows the incorporation of more general kinds of constraints, such as concavity constraints (which can be used to achieve very flat magnitude characteristics). Examples are given to illustrate how the proposed and common approaches differ, and how the proposed approach can be used to design filters with flat passbands, filters which meet point constraints, minimum phase filters, and bandpass filters with controlled transition band behavior  相似文献
