E-learning is emerging as a popular learning approach utilized by many organizations. Despite the ever increasing practices of e-learning in the workplace, most e-learning applications fail to meet learners’ needs or serve organization’s quests for success. Significant gaps exist between organizational interests and individual needs when they come to e-learning, which make e-learning applications less goal-effective. To solve this problem, a performance-oriented approach is presented in this study. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are set up to clarify organizational training needs, and help learners establish rational learning objectives. In addition, ontology is used for constructing formal and machine-understandable conceptualization of the performance-oriented learning environment. Using this approach, a KPI-oriented learning ontology and prototype system have been developed and evaluated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. 相似文献

Process capability indices measure the ability of a production process to produce items within specification limits. The calculation of process capability indices has been focusing on using traditional frequency approach, which requires a large sample size for an accurate estimation. In order to eliminate this defect of traditional frequency approach on multi-batch and low volume production, Bayesian approach was used. The conjugate Bayesian approach is chosen to estimate the process distribution parameters. The algorithm with these conjugate Bayes estimators is proposed for measuring the process capability for multi-batch and low volume production. A case study is presented to demonstrate how the approach can be applied to actual data collected in practice. 相似文献

We analyze a single removable and unreliable server in an M/G/1 queueing system operating under the 〈p, N〉-policy. As soon as the system size is greater than N, turn the server on with probability p and leave the server off with probability (1 ? p). All arriving customers demand the first essential service, where only some of them demand the second optional service. He needs a startup time before providing first essential service until there are no customers in the system. The server is subject to break down according to a Poisson process and his repair time obeys a general distribution. In this queueing system, the steady-state probabilities cannot be derived explicitly. Thus, we employ an improved maximum entropy method with several well-known constraints to estimate the probability distributions of system size and the expected waiting time in the system. By a comparative analysis between the exact and approximate results, we may demonstrate that the improved maximum entropy method is accurate enough for practical purpose, and it is a useful method for solving complex queueing systems. 相似文献

The ability to effectively manage external customer satisfaction through IT-based Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) is well documented in the literature. The concept of applying such technologies in Business to Employee relationships to manage the firm's relationships with its employees is not. By extending the CRM paradigm to consider the service of internal customers, we characterize the emergent concept of Employee Relationship Management systems (ERM) for investigation. We find that employee satisfaction with ERM systems designed to provide access to benefits and other important employee services is largely a function of systems quality perceptions, as moderated by employee perceptions of system usefulness. Specifically, we believe our results suggest that high-quality systems implementations will not produce high degrees of employee satisfaction with ERM systems unless such systems are also found by the employee to be highly useful for their intended purpose. This highlights the critical role of accurate assessments of user requirements matched to specific needs from human resources-based systems support in the analysis phase of system design. 相似文献

This study aims to propose an algorithm for traffic estimation, particularly for urban roadway sections with insufficient data sources. Establishing an advanced traffic management system (ATMS) heavily depends on obtaining complete data. In this regard, traffic detectors play an important role in data acquisition. However, installing traffic detectors extensively over a metropolitan area can be rather expensive. As such, in most cities around the world, vehicle detectors for traffic data collection are relatively insufficient to meet requirements. In light of this, the current research therefore proposes a feasible algorithm of dynamic section flow prediction based on the automatic control theory and observer design for roadway sections with insufficient data sources. JSR286规范定义了本地Portlet之间的协作方式,WSRP2.0规范定义了远程Portlet之间的协作方式,但两者并未深入涉及远程Portlet和本地Portlet之间的协作问题,降低了Portlet的交互能力。针对这点不足,在WSRP2.0规范定义的事件分发及状态分发等协作机制基础上,设计了一个消费者门户主导的联邦协作框架。在该框架中,通过协作信息转换和协作服务作为中介,通过消息队列进行消息存储、消息验证和消息处理,实现了Portlet容器和代理容器的松散耦合,并支持远程Portlet和远程Portlet之间、远程Portlet和本地Portlet之间、本地Portlet和本地Portlet之间的协作。该框架与JSR286规范和WSRP2.0规范兼容,满足WSRP2.0模块的可插拔性,并具有良好的可扩展性和可移植性。 相似文献
