A highly active and stable catalyst/support system is developed by using a two-step process. In the first step, activated carbon composite support (ACCS) is synthesized that retains its activity after accelerated stress test (AST). A 30% Pt/ACCS catalyst shows no loss of mass activity and power density after 5000 cycles at 1.0–1.5 V while the commercial Pt/C and Pt/290G catalysts show drastic mass activity losses (57.5% and 66.2%, respectively) and power density losses (88.7% and 84.0%, respectively). In the second step, Pt catalyst with a compressive Pt lattice (Pt1) is synthesized through a USC-developed annealing procedure in which Co atoms previously embedded in the support diffuse into Pt. The 30% Pt1/ACCS shows high initial power density (rated) of 0.174 gPt kW?1 and high stability of 24 mV loss at 0.8 A cm?2 with an electrochemical active surface area (ECSA) loss of 42% after 30,000 cycles (0.6–1.0 V). The support stability under 1.0–1.5 V potential cycling shows potential loss of 8 mV at 1.5 A cm?2 and ECSA loss of 22% after 5000 cycles. Improved stability and activity of Pt*/ACCS catalyst are due to synergistic effect of catalytic activity and stability of ACCS and formation of compressive Pt lattice catalyst. 相似文献

Decommissioning of nuclear facilities becomes an important issue in all areas of nuclear technology, mainly in their energetic applications. Decommissioning process has to be planned in the safe, ecological and economic manner. It determines the requirements on appropriate evaluation of needed technologies, media, amount of solid materials released into the environment, radioactivity of effluents, amount of radioactive waste for disposal, number and exposure of personnel and finally the financial demands. A detailed evaluation of these parameters may be done by analytical calculation approach. This approach models a real process of decommissioning with its individual basic activities. Production of extrudates from cereals is an often-used technological process in today’s world food industry. Extrudates from
corn flour produced using the twin-screw extrusion process and enriched with whey protein concentrate represent high-quality
source of proteins and fats. Whey protein concentrate (WPC) as a valuable source of proteins and minerals is one of the highest-quality
components for possible extrudate enrichment. In this paper, the influence of various WPC addition and some extrusion process
parameters such as feed moisture content (
Q\textH\text2 \textO Q_{{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}} {\text{O}}}} ) on physicochemical properties of directly expanded corn flour extrudates manufactured in twin-screw co-rotating extruder
was investigated. Whey protein concentrate was added in the following ratios 7.5%, 15% and 22.5% and water in 10.08, 12.18
and 14.28 L/h. Final composition of products is determined with measuring of protein, fat and water shares, water absorption
index (WAI) and water solubility index (WSI). With added WPC and with increase of water volume flow, there was a significant
rise in total protein, fat and water content in final products, as well as lowering of WSI and rising of WAI indexes. The
statistical analysis of the obtained data shows that the lowest WSI and the highest WAI had samples with the largest share
of WPC (22.5%) and water volume flow of 14.28 L/h. Colour is measured for each sample, and results were represented with hue
angle (H), chroma (C) and lightness (L) values. Process parameters, WPC and
Q\textH\text2 \textO Q_{{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}} {\text{O}}}} influence the increase of saturation of C and lightness of L colour value, while H value stays unchanged. Mean value of H

We show, for two different definitions of semiglobal practical external stability, that the stability property holds on semi-infinite
time intervals if and only if it holds on arbitrarily long but finite time intervals. These results have immediate applications
in the analysis of the stability properties of highly oscillatory systems with inputs using averaging or for systems with
inputs that are slowly varying. Results are stated for general flows and the stability is given with respect to arbitrary
(not necessarily compact) sets.
