In the present report we studied spectral characteristics of the near-infrared combination and overtone bands of CH vibrations of a CH sequence. The near-infrared bands of the CH in CHX3 (X, halogen), which were interpreted in terms of the CH stretching and CH deformation fundamentals without any ambiguity, typically showed how the frequency and intensity of a combination or an overtone depend on the vibrational excited state. In the CH-C-CH of CHX2CX2CHX2, the vibrations of one CH are isolated from those of the other CH, and the combination and overtone bands were similarly interpreted as those of the CH, although each of the combination bands was split into two because of non-degeneracy of the CH deformation. In the CH-CH of CHX2CHX2, the CH deformations only have coupled modes. The first combination showed four narrowly separate bands, which were reasonably interpreted on the basis of the CH stretching and the coupled CH deformation modes. We demonstrated that the first combination of coupled modes as well as the combination of up to, at least, the third order of isolated modes have the nature of the characteristic bands.  相似文献

Molecular architectures built of inorganic cyanometalate building blocks provide variegated host structures with several organic guest molecules. The strategies to derive novel structures are presented briefly. The formation of a charge-transfer (CT) complex as the guest inside the cavity and the photochemistry of the CT complexes are discussed. The chemical pressure that the guest experiences inside the cavity is also discussed based on the vibrational spectroscopic results.  相似文献

The gas permeability of O2 and CO2 was sutidied for various polymer blend membranes of polystyrene (PSt) and poly[1,1,1-tris(trimethylsiloxy)methacrylate propylsilane (PTMPS). In order to improve the compatibility of these polymer blends, the effect of addition of the graft copolymer was also investigated. The gas permeability of various composition polymer-blend membranes increases rapidly with an increasing content of PTMPS in the polymer blend. In the polymer blend membranes containing the graft copolymer, the gas permeability decreases with an increase in the graft copolymer content and then reaches a nearly constant value, when the PTMPS content remains constant. This result is attributed to a decrease in interstices at phase boundaries, owing to improvement in compatibility of the component polymers. This method of membrane preparation is very useful for making membranes with required properties.  相似文献

In our search for molecules involved in the process of osteoclast differentiation, we examined the surface phenotypes of the preosteoclast-like cells and osteoclast-like multinucleated cells (MNCs) formed in bone marrow cultures, using monoclonal antibodies recognizing different antigen molecules expressed on hematopoietic cells. Among these cell surface antigens, lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) were highly expressed on mononuclear cells in the cultures for forming preosteoclast-like mononuclear cells. The double detection of these two antigen molecules with osteoclast-specific antigen and with calcitonin receptor, using a fluorescence-activated cell sorter or autoradiography technique, revealed that LFA-1 and ICAM-1 were expressed on the preosteoclasts. The expression of ICAM-1 was detected on both preosteoclasts and osteoclast-like MNCs, whereas the expression of LFA-1 was restricted to preosteoclasts. We designed a peptide with the sequence of the binding site of ICAM-1 against the ligand LFA-1. In the whole bone marrow culture system for forming osteoclast-like MNCs, a significant inhibition of MNC formation was observed by the addition of this peptide. These results strongly suggest the involvement of an LFA-1/ICAM-1-interaction in osteoclastogenesis.  相似文献

The formation mechanisms of InAs/Ni/W ohmic contacts to n-type GaAs prepared by radio-frequency (rf) sputtering were studied by measuring contact resistances (Rc) using a transmission line method and by analyzing the interfacial structure mainly by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Current-voltage characteristics of the InAs/Ni/W contacts after annealing at temperatures above 600°C showed “ohmic-like behavior.” In order to obtain the “ohmic” behavior in the contacts, pre-heating at 300°C prior to high temperature annealing was found to be essential. The contacts showed ohmic behavior after annealing at temperatures in the range of 500∼850°C and contact resistance values of as low as ∼0.3Ω-mm were obtained. By analyzing the interfacial structures of these contacts, InxGa1−xAs layers with low density of misfit dislocations at the InxGa1−xAs and GaAs interface were observed to grow epitaxially on the GaAs substrate upon heating at high temperatures. This intermediate InxGa1−xAs layer is believed to divide the high energy barrier at the contact metal and GaAs interface into two low barriers, resulting in reduction of the contact resistance. In addition, Ni was found to play a key role to relax a strain in the InxGa1−xAs layer (introduced due to lattice mismatch between the InxGa1−xAs and GaAs) by forming an intermediate NixGaAs layer on the GaAs surface prior to formation of the InxGa1−xxAs layer.  相似文献

A hydrogen generation process using photocatalytic reactions has been proposed. In this process, hydrogen sulfide is a source of hydrogen and is turned into polysulfide. In order to establish the cyclic operation of a photocatalytic hydrogen generation system, it is necessary to convert polysulfide back into hydrogen sulfide with a small energy input. This paper proposes the use of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) for the regeneration of hydrogen sulfide. Batch cultivation of natural source SRB samples were carried out using a culture medium containing polysulfide as the only sulfur compound source. SRB produced hydrogen sulfide from several kinds of polysulfide sources, including a photocatalytic hydrogen generation-produces solution. Production lag phase and production rate of hydrogen sulfide were affected by initial polysulfide concentration. SRB activity was inhibited at high initial polysulfide concentrations. SRB enrichment culture T2, exhibited the highest hydrogen sulfide production rate, and was able to utilize several kinds of organic matter as the electron donor. The results suggest the possibility of using large biomass sources, such as sewage sludge and the raw garbage in a hydrogen generation system. We developed speculative estimates that an SRB based hydrogen generation system is feasible.  相似文献

Accumulation of amyloid-β peptide is associated with Alzheimer's dementia. Previously, we reported that sesamin and sesamolin inhibited β-secretase activity in vitro, and each was transported to the serum and brain in mice after oral administration. However, the bioavailability of sesamin and sesamolin was poor in mice. In this study, we aimed to improve the bioavailability of sesamin and sesamolin. We found that the levels of sesamin and sesamolin in mouse serum and brain were higher after the administration of a mixture of sesame extract and turmeric oil (MST) than those after administering sesame extract alone. Serum sesamin and sesamolin contents in the MST-treated group were 23-fold and 15-fold higher, respectively, than those in the sesame extract-treated group. Brain sesamin and sesamolin contents in the MST-treated group were 14-fold and 11-fold higher, respectively, than those in the sesame extract-treated group. These results suggest that turmeric oil is an effective solvent to enhance the bioavailability of sesamin and sesamolin.  相似文献
