We report the first case of dicavitary twin pregnancy, following clomiphene citrate therapy, in a patient with uterus bicornis bicollis and anovulation. A review of the literature is presented, and obstetric outcomes and management of these rare pregnancies are discussed.  相似文献

Somatic motor neurons begin to express the transmitter synthesizing enzyme, choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) and the low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) during embryonic development. However, as motor neurons mature in postnatal life, they lose immunoreactivity for NGFR and acquire a motor neuron-specific epitope that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody, MO-1. The present study was undertaken to examine the effect of nerve injury in adult rats on these three developmentally regulated markers in two populations of somatic motor neurons. Unilateral transection, ligation, or crushing of the sciatic nerve resulted in a loss of MO-1 binding and a concomitant rise in immunoreactivity for NGFR within axotomized motor neurons in lumbar levels of the spinal cord. These changes, detectable within 5 days following nerve injury, are reversed with reinnervation, but persist if reinnervation is prevented by chronic axotomy. Thus, regulation of the expression of NGFR and the MO-1 epitope appears to be critically dependent upon interactions between motor neurons and target muscles. These observations are also consistent with the idea that during regeneration, neurons may revert to a developmentally immature state; in motor neurons, this state is characterized by the presence of NGFRs and the absence of the MO-1 epitope. Transection of the hypoglossal nerve, a purely motor nerve, resulted in a similar loss of MO-1 binding and a selective rise in NGFR immunoreactivity in neurons within the ipsilateral hypoglossal motor nucleus. In addition, immunoreactivity for ChAT was also lost in axotomized hypoglossal motor neurons. In contrast, injury to the sciatic nerve, which bears both sensory and motor axons, did not result in any detectable change in ChAT immunoreactivity in spinal motor neurons.  相似文献

Vendor selection is an evaluation process that is based on many criteria that uses inaccurate or uncertain data. But while the criteria are often numerous and the relationships between higher-level criteria and lower-level sub-criteria are complex, most conventional decision models cannot help us clarify the interrelationships among the sub-criteria. Our proposed integrated fuzzy multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) method addresses this issue within the context of the vendor selection problem. First, we use triangular fuzzy numbers to express the subjective preferences of evaluators. Second, we use interpretive structural modeling (ISM) to map out the relationships among the sub-criteria. Third, we use the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method to compute the relative weights for each criterion, and we use non-additive fuzzy integral to obtain the fuzzy synthetic performance of each common criterion. Fourth, the best vendor is determined according to the overall aggregating score of each vendor using the fuzzy weights with fuzzy synthetic utilities. Fifth, we use an empirical example to show that our proposed method is preferred to the traditional method, especially when the sub-criteria are interdependent. Finally, our results provide valuable suggestions to vendors on how to improve each sub-criterion so that they can bridge the gap between actual and aspired performance values in the future.  相似文献

A manufacturing technique is developed for embedding piezoelectric material in composite laminates while maintaining the structure strength and piezoelectric effectiveness. An ultrasonic C-scan test is applied to screen out the specimen with possible delamination along the interface of the piezoelectric material and glass fiber layer. It is shown that the problem of electrical insulation and piezoelectric material cracking can be prevented. In addition, tensile and static tests are conducted to validate the manufacturing technique. An analytical model is also presented to predict the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a composite structure with embedded piezoelectric materials, and the predictions are verified by modal testing.  相似文献

Measurement of adsorption breakthrough curves in packed beds has shown that the amounts and rates of uptake of immunoglobulin M (IgM) onto the commonly used anionic ion-exchanger Q Sepharose Fast Flow (based on 6% agarose) are severely limited as a result of the large molecular size of this adsorbate (RMM 950,000). A similar ion-exchanger based on a more porous 4% agarose, Q Sepharose 4 Fast Flow was evaluated as an alternative adsorbent for the purification of IgM. Equilibrium adsorption isotherms and the effective diffusivities of IgM within these two adsorbents were measured. Q-Sepharose 4 Fast Flow was found to have a maximum capacity for IgM 2.5 times greater than that of Q Sepharose 6 Fast Flow and the effective diffusivity of IgM was found to be between 6 and 7 times greater than with the latter material. Comparison of the breakthrough curves obtained for these adsorbents at a variety of flow velocities confirm that Q Sepharose 4 Fast Flow is a superior adsorbent for the capture and purification of large proteins.  相似文献

In the soapfree emulsion polymerization of a methyl methacrylate-K2S2O8-CaSO3-H2O system, the polymerization rate, average molecular weight of polymer, particle size and particle concentration would vary with the concentration of CaSO3. It was shown that when the concentration of CaSO3 was well below the saturation concentration (3 × 10?4mol/litre H2O), the polymerization rate was higher than that of the system not containing CaSO3. On the other hand, when the concentration of CaSO3 was above the saturation concentration, the polymerization rate at the latter stage was lower than that of the system not containing CaSO3 within our experimental conditions. The molecular weight of polymer was measured by Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). It decreased initially and then increased due to the gel effect over the entire course of polymerization. The size of the polymer particles was measured by both photo correlation spectroscopy (PCS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), The reaction mechanism was studied according to the above observation. The mechanical property of poly(methyl methacrylate)-CaSO3 composite obtained from soapfree emulsion polymerization was tested and compared with that obtained from mechanical blending.  相似文献
