Rapid measurements of milk properties and discrimination of milk origin are necessary techniques for quality control of milk products. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the potential of using front face fluorescence spectroscopy (FFFS) and synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy (SFS) for monitoring the quality of forty-five ewe’s milk samples originating from different feeding systems. Physico-chemical analyses and fluorescence spectra were conducted on samples during lactation periods (the first 11 weeks). The principal component analysis (PCA) separately applied to the physico-chemical and fluorescence spectral data showed only small discrimination between milk samples based on lactation periods and diet compositions. Similar results were obtained by separately applying factorial discriminant analysis (FDA) on each technique. In a second step, concatenation technique were applied to FFF spectra acquired after excitation set at 250, 290, 380 nm and emission set at 410 nm. Results obtained showed a good discrimination among milk samples with regard to feeding systems given to the ewes throughout the lactation periods. In addition, a better discrimination was observed with FFFS than with SFS.  相似文献

The growth of proteolytic Clostridium botulinum from spore inocula and changes in spore counts in mushroom, broccoli, and potato purées were monitored. Four strains of proteolytic C. botulinum types A and B were inoculated separately at approximately 10(4) spores per ml in nutrient broth and vegetable purées incubated at 15, 20, and 30 degrees C for up to 52 days. The times for the cell populations to increase 1,000-fold (T1,000) in the tested vegetables (1 to 5 days at 30 degrees C, 3 to 16 days at 20 degrees C, 7 to > 52 days at 15 degrees C) were similar to those for meat or fish. Only temperature significantly influenced growth rate. In contrast, the lag phase depended on the strains and media tested, in addition to temperature. Lag times and T1,000S for proteolytic C. botulinum were longer for potato and broccoli purées than for mushroom purée. These differences were not related to different pHs or redox potentials. The germination level, evaluated as the decrease in the spore count, was low. The addition of a germinant mixture (L-cysteine, L-alanine, and sodium lactate) to some strains inoculated in vegetable purées resulted in an increase in germination, suggesting a lack of germination-triggering agents in the vegetable purées.  相似文献

The focus is on the effects of the pH and added salt. Pomegranate seeds were osmodehydrated using date juice added with sucrose (final °Brix, 55) as immersion solution. The kinetics of osmotic dehydration showed that the most significant changes of mass transfer took place during the first 20 min of the process, regardless of date juice varieties. During this time, seed water loss and solid gain were estimated to be ∼39% and ∼6%, respectively. After 20 min of the process, the percentage of water loss and solid gain varied slightly and ranged on average close to ∼40% and ∼9%, respectively. During osmotic dehydration, there was a leaching of natural solutes from seeds into the solution, which is quantitatively not negligible, and might have an important impact on the sensorial and nutritional value of seeds and date juices. Both scanning electron microscopy and texture (compression) analysis revealed that osmotic dehydration process induced modifications of seed texture and cell structure. Sucrose was found to be the essential element which influences the texture of seed and the viscosity of date juice. Additionally, natural sugar present in date juice permits substituting 35% of the total quantity of sucrose added to the osmotic solution.  相似文献

Pathogenic, spoilage, and technologically important microorganisms were monitored in 21 spontaneously fermented Swiss meat products manufactured with meat from wildlife or animals grown in natural habitat. Thereby, PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) on rpoB and 16S rRNA gene sequences provided a powerful tool for fast and accurate identification of the main microbial population. Lactobacillus sakei and Lactobacillus curvatus dominated in fermented meat products followed by Staphylococcus species, which constituted 88.2% of all Gram-positive, catalase-positive cocci (GCC+) with cell counts varying from 2.6 to 7.0 log cfu/g during maturation. Staphylococcus equorum was prevalent in frequency and cell counts during maturation (18.0%; 5.0-7.3 log cfu/g) and in the end products (28.4%; 1.8-6.2 log cfu/g) implicating a new presumptive starter species for meat fermentation. Nine out of 14 end products indicated safety risks to consumers due to the high incidence of Staphylococcus saprophyticus or Staphylococcus epidermidis combined with cell counts of 7.4 and 4.9 log cfu/g, respectively. This fact was supported by the detection of Staphylococcus aureus and Enterobacteriaceae in ready-to-eat products strongly exceeding the tolerable limit of 2 log cfu/g. Spontaneously fermented meat products produced from wildlife or animals grown in natural habitats not only gave rise to hygienic and safety concerns but also provided new presumptive starter strains.  相似文献

As plants evolved to be extremely proficient in mass transfer with their surroundings and survive as earth's dominant biomass, they also accumulate and store some contaminants from surroundings, acting as passive samplers. Novel applications and analytical methods have been utilized to gain information about a wide range of contaminants in the biosphere soil, water, and air, with information available on both past (dendrochemistry) and present (phytoscreening). An in depth analysis on twin variant selection and twin growth character during compression by means of “interrupted in situ” EBSD orientation measurement was carried out. An experimental verification and geometrical analysis of the use of Schmid's law as a criterion for selecting twin variants was performed, and proved to be conclusive. Twin variants having Schmid factors higher than 0.4 have a good chance to be activated. The twin growth exhibits two modes: {11–22} twins show a tendency to multiple variants system (MVS) and {10–12} twins show predominant variant system (PVS). The Schmid factor plays an important role in MVS and PVS.  相似文献

Selenium is a known toxic element released in the environment by anthropogenic activities. The present study is devoted to the aqueous sorption behaviour of selenium oxyanions (selenate and selenite) on a reference oxide surface, namely rutile TiO(2). Batch sorption kinetics and isotherms have been studied using different physico-chemical conditions of the solution (changes of pH and ionic strength). The sorption was favoured for both anions in acidic conditions, in agreement with a surface complexation mechanism and CD-MUSIC predictions. Spectroscopic investigations of the sorbed rutile powder were also consistent with such a mechanism. EXAFS spectra confirmed that for selenite anions, an inner-sphere mechanism was the most probable process observed. Dynamic sorption experiments using a column filled with rutile powder also substantiated that a part of the surface complexes follows the inner-sphere mechanism, but also evidenced that an outer-sphere mechanism cannot be excluded, especially for selenate anions.  相似文献

Hybrid and nanocomposite silica-collagen materials derived from concentrated collagen hydrogels were evaluated in vitro and in vivo to establish their potentialities for biological dressings. Silicification significantly improved the mechanical and thermal stability of the collagen network within the hybrid systems. Nanocomposites were found to favor the metabolic activity of immobilized human dermal fibroblasts while decreasing the hydrogel contraction. Cell adhesion experiments suggested that in vitro cell behavior was dictated by mechanical properties and surface structure of the scaffold. First-to-date in vivo implantation of bulk hydrogels in subcutaneous sites of rats was performed over the vascular inflammatory period. These materials were colonized and vascularized without inducing strong inflammatory response. These data raise reasonable hope for the future application of silica-collagen biomaterials as biological dressings.  相似文献

The corrosion of zinc alloys was tested in a flow-corrosion test apparatus. Hydrogen bubbles were evolved (preferably) on the grain boundaries of the specimens. Around the place where hydrogen bubbles had adhered, and between particular hydrogen bubbles, very heavy pitting corrosion took place.

Increase of iron content increases the corrosion of zinc. By increasing the lead content it is possible to decrease uniform corrosion, but not to avoid pitting completely.

Des alliages do zinc ont été examinés dans un appareil de corrosion à électrolyte circulant. Les bulles d'hydrogène se forment préferentie sur les limites du grain. On peut observer sur la périphérie des bulles d'hydrogène adhérant à la surface des échantillons et parmi les bulles d'hydrogène une piqûre de corrosion particulièrement fortement.

Une augmentation de la concentration du fer activait trés fortement la corrosion du zinc. Par une augmentation additionelle de la concentration du plomb on peut réduire la corrosion à la surface, mais il est impossible d'éviter la piqûre de corrosion entièrement.  相似文献
