Synthesis and properties of PDMS modified waterborne polyurethane–acrylic hybrid emulsion by solvent-free method

A new type of polysiloxane modified polyurethane–acrylic hybrid emulsion was synthesized by solvent-free method and the polysiloxane was introduced into the soft segment of polyurethane chains using dihydroxybutyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). The formed film from the hybrid emulsion could provide obviously higher water-resistance property. The preparation technologies such as the content of carboxy group and acrylic monomer, the rate and the time of emulsification were discussed systematically. The chain structure and the particle size were confirmed by the analysis of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy, respectively. The effect of PDMS content on the water resistance and the mechanical property were investigated by absorbed water ratio, water contact angle and dynamic mechanical measurement.

Phase Transformation Introduced by Mechanical and Chemical Surface Preparations of Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystals

Cutting of Y₂O₃-doped TZP rods by a low-speed diamond saw introduces an unidentified, metastable phase X (x -ZrO₂) coexisting with the tetragonal ( t -ZrO₂) and the monoclinic ( m -ZrO₂) phases initially present in the sample. Further mechanical deformation of the cut surface by indentation or polishing sustains the x -ZrO₂. Chemical etching removes the x -ZrO₂ and increases the m -ZrO₂content.     

Glutamine dipeptide attenuate mucosal atrophic changes and preservation of gut barrier function following 5-FU intervention

Traditional parenteral nutrition (PN) and chemotherapy may lead to changes mucosal morphology and gut barrier function. To investigate the effects of alanyl-glutamine on intestinal mucosal morphology and gut barrier function in PN-fed rats challenged with 5-FU male Wistar rats were central catheterized and randomily divided into two groups: PN group (n = 10) that received traditional parenteral nutrition solution only, and Ala-Gln group (n = 10) that received glutamine dipeptide enriched nutritional solution (3% Ala-Gln). The rats were maintained on their respective diets for 7 days. 5-FU (75 mg/kg) was injected intraperitoneally at 8 am on day 4. All rats were gavaged with lactulose (100 mg) and mannitol (50 mg) in 2ml before and three days after administration of 5-FU. Ala-Gln group maintained serum glutamine concentration, intestinal mucosal morphology. While bacterial translocation rates in ala-Gln group was 30%, in PN group was 90% (P < 0.05). Similar intestinal permeability was observed on day 3 in both groups. The control group had a significantly increased intestinal permeability on day 7 (P < 0.05), while Ala-Gln group maintained the intestinal permeability. It was suggested that alanyl-glutamine maintained intestinal morphology and gut barrier function in PN-fed rats challenged with 5-FU.

Ab initio calculations on the mechanism of isobutane and 2-butene alkylation reaction catalyzed by hydrofluoric acid

Ab initio method was employed to determine the mechanism of alkylation reaction of 2-butene with isobutane. The results indicated that 2-butene is rapidly protonated to form sec-butyl carbonium ion, which then reacts with isobutane to form tert-butyl carbonium ion. The resulting carbonium ion is then deprotonated to form isobutene that reacts rapidly with tert-butyl carbonium ion to form trimethylpentane (TMP) carbonium ion. Finally, the TMP⁺ carbonium ion is converted to TMP via the hydride transfer process. The transition states of the interactions were obtained by using the SCAN method (a calculation key word for potential energy surface) first and then the intrinsic reaction coordinates were traced using the Gaussian program. In addition, the energy changes and geometric parameters of the interactions were analyzed. The computed results indicated that the energy barriers are close to or less than zero for the interaction of isobutane with protonated 2-butene or for the interaction of tert-butyl carbonium ion with isobutene, suggesting rapid reaction steps of the carbonium ions. The 2,2,3-TMP is kinetically controlled, while the formation of 2,2,4-TMP is controlled by reaction equilibrium. The calculated results were in good agreement with the experimental results.

本文报道用改性物B改善双马来酰亚胺/二胺预聚物溶解性的实验研究.结果表明,改性后的双马来酰亚胺/二胺基体树脂在低沸点、低毒性溶剂如丙酮中具有良好的溶解性,并且有足够的均相期,为湿法制作预浸料创造了有利条件.同时对树脂的固化反应、耐热稳定性及其复合材料在高温条件下(150℃、200℃)的层间剪切性能进行了研究.
