The radiation pattern of microstrip wraparound antennas was obtained here using a theory based on dyadic Green's functions for concentric-cylindrical layered media. The dielectric layer that is usually neglected as a first-order approximation was considered here. An asymptotic expression for the dyadic Green's function that takes into account only the space wave is first obtained. Radiation patterns for various radii, permittivities, and thicknesses of the dielectric layer of a microstrip wraparound antenna were obtained using as a source a uniform annular magnetic current obtained by means of a cavity model with conducting magnetic walls. The calculated values of the percent pattern coverage decreases as the thickness and the permittivity of the dielectric layer increase. The influence of the dielectric layer is more pronounced for radiation direction near that of the axis of the cylindrical surface. It is also shown that the radiation patterns at a frequency of 2.0 GHz are not much dependent on the diameter of the antenna for values from 3 to 120 in.  相似文献

The seroprevalence of human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) in the Swiss population was investigated. By enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, sera reactive to the recombinant HHV-8 antigen orf 65.2 were found in 24% of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive patients without and in 92% of HIV-positive patients with Kaposi's sarcoma. Surprisingly, 20% of homosexual HIV-negative men, versus only 7% of heterosexual HIV-negative individuals and 5% of blood donors, had antibodies to HHV-8.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: Primary headaches are often seen by Clinicians on duty at Emergency Services. We have investigated the treatment of such patients by 43 medical doctors who have been working at Emergency Services in the city of Santos and surrounding towns for many years. RESULTS: We confirmed the high prevalence of primary headaches in Emergency Services. There seem to be diagnosis difficulties concerning differentiating attacks of migraine and tension type headache. We also observed that IV dipirone was the most frequently prescribed treatment for patients with primary headaches in this study. There is no protocol in the literature which recommends IV dipirone for the treatment of migraine attacks or other primary headaches. CONCLUSION: It would be advisable to perform controlled double blind studies in order to verify the advantages of IV dipirone in the treatment of intense attacks primary headaches. We concluded that headache management recycling programs could be of interest for doctors who regularly work at Emergency Services.  相似文献

The suitability of hyphenated USAED with HPLC separation and ET-AAS determination as a new rapid methodology for Se control in Se-enriched food supplements is demonstrated. Total Se determination and Se speciation are accomplished in a single sample treatment using low sample amounts (ca. 10 mg), and low extracting volume (1 mL). The total Se content in seven of the 10 Se-enriched supplements studied was in agreement with the values obtained after microwave pressurized acid digestion, MW, (test t, p = 0.05). The Se species studied were Se(IV), Se(VI), SeMet, SeMeSeCys, and SeCys2, being some of the most common found in the 10 supplements studied. Although SeMet was the Se species expected to be present at the highest concentration in most Se-enriched food supplements, we detected it in only three of the 10 samples studied. In the other seven samples, two of them had Se(IV) as the main Se species. The other five supplements had Se species that did not match with any of the five standards selected by us. We have also systematically demonstrated that ultrasonication does not alter the following Se species: Se(IV), Se(VI), SeMet, SeMeSeCys, and SeCys2. The new procedure can be easily adapted to more Se species and can be routinely used for Se control in Se-enriched food supplements. Concerning the supplements studied, our results suggest that stricter control on the Se content in enriched food supplements in terms of Se species will need to become mandatory.  相似文献

Structural analysis of 3-benzylamino-1,2-benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide by X-ray diffraction method reveals C–N bond lengths very similar to the correspondent ether pseudosaccharyl derivative, with the central C–N–C amine linkage having one very long C–N bond and one short. The central C–N–C bond angle is close to 120°. The implications of these data for the reactivity of this compound by catalytic transfer reduction are explored.  相似文献

The lipase/acyltransferase from Candida parapsilosis is an unusual enzyme that preferably catalyses alcoholysis over hydrolysis in biphasic aqueous/organic media. The aim of this study was to evaluate the operational stability of an immobilised form of this enzyme during the interesterification of fat blends containing n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, in solvent‐free media, at 60 °C, carried out continuously and batchwise. When the interesterification was performed in a continuous fluidised‐bed reactor, an operational half‐life of 9 h was estimated. The biocatalyst was also reused in consecutive 23‐h batches, in a total of four batches, either using fresh medium with no water addition or adding water to rehydrate the biocatalyst. When no water and extra water was added to the reaction medium, the obtained half‐lives were 10 and 18 h, respectively. Thus, the loss of activity may be explained by a progressive dehydration occurring along the reaction rather than by product or substrate inhibition effects. The interesterification activity was accompanied by changes in the acylglycerol profile. An increase in compounds of low equivalent carbon number (ECN) and in triacylglycerols (TAG) of ECN 42 and 44 was observed. This increase was accompanied by the consumption of TAG of ECN 46, 48 and 50.  相似文献

The fabrication and characterization of Nafion-TiO2 hybrid electrolytes for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) operating at high temperature are reported. A low temperature sol-gel synthesis, based on the formation of a sol from Ti-peroxy complex, was used to effectively incorporate hydrophilic anatase TiO2 nanoparticles into the Nafion matrix. Fuel cell testing at temperatures up to 130 °C revealed that the hybrid membranes exhibit an increasing ohmic drop with increasing TiO2 content incorporated into the polymer. However, at high temperatures and low relative humidity (RH) the performance of fuel cells using the hybrid electrolytes was found to surpass the one of Nafion. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements suggest that enhancement of the fuel cell performance at high temperature and low RH is related to a reduced polarization resistance, indicating that the hybrid electrolytes contribute for a better water management of the system. In addition, it was found that the inorganic phase confers stability to the polymer, allowing for the operation at high temperature and reduced RH.  相似文献

Alteration zones of archeological glasses often show intriguing lamellar patterns in backscattered electron images. Here, we report results of static glass corrosion experiments with two different silicate glasses that revealed laminar porosity and subordinately chemical patterns inside silica-based corrosion zones that resemble those seen in naturally altered, ancient glasses. Aside from common laminar patterns, more complex patterns were observed in corrosion zones that developed along a fracture network. The formation of such patterns cannot be explained by any of the existing glass corrosion models. We suggest that silica-based corrosion zones form by a process that involves the congruent dissolution of the glass network, which is spatially and temporally coupled to the deposition of amorphous silica at an inwardly moving reaction interface. The patterns likely form in response to fluctuations of the pH and salinity in the interfacial solution, which govern the silica solubility, deposition, and dissolution rate, and thus, its microstructure and porosity, and, in turn, are controlled by the dissolution rate of the glass and the transport properties of the silica reaction layers. However, the exact feedback mechanism producing pH fluctuations in the interfacial solution has not yet been identified and is an open question for future research.  相似文献
