Currently, there are numerous methods for estimating impact locations. One is to find more detailed information because the system becomes complicated. Another method is to reduce energy, for which various autonomic energy harvesting methods have been developed. However, the occupied energy is still small. This paper proposes a simple, rapid, and low-powered impact estimation method based on energy flow direction estimation through a pair of piezoelectric sensors. The estimation energy flow is expressed by a Poynting vector subsequently linked to piezoelectric sensor voltage outputs. The presented approach is verified by numerical simulations and experiments.  相似文献

In order to understand protein structure to a sufficient extent for, e.g., drug discovery, no single technique can provide satisfactory information on both the lowest-energy conformation and on dynamic changes over time (the ‘four-dimensional’ protein structure). Instead, a combination of complementary techniques is required. Mass spectrometry methods have shown promise in addressing protein dynamics, but often rely on the use of high-end commercial or custom instruments. Here, we apply well-established chemistry to conformation-sensitive oxidative protein labelling on a timescale of a few seconds, followed by analysis through a routine protein analysis workflow. For a set of model proteins, we show that site selectivity of labelling can indeed be rationalised in terms of known structural information, and that conformational changes induced by ligand binding are reflected in the modification pattern. In addition to conventional bottom-up analysis, further insights are obtained from intact mass measurement and native mass spectrometry. We believe that this method will provide a valuable and robust addition to the ‘toolbox’ of mass spectrometry researchers studying higher-order protein structure.  相似文献

A conformal first‐order or Leontovic surface‐impedance boundary condition (SIBC) for the modelling of fully three‐dimensional (3‐D) lossy curved surfaces in a Cartesian grid is presented for the frequency‐domain finite‐difference (FD) methods. The impedance boundary condition is applied to auxiliary tangential electric and magnetic field components defined at the curved surface. The auxiliary components are subsequently eliminated from the formulation resulting in a modification of the local permeability value at boundary cells, allowing the curved 3‐D surface to be described in terms of Cartesian grid components. The proposed formulation can be applied to model skin‐effect loss in time‐harmonic driven problems. In addition, the impedance matrix can be used as a post‐processor for the eigenmode solver to calculate the wall loss. The validity of the proposed model is evaluated by investigating the quality factors of cylindrical and spherical cavity resonators. The results are compared with analytic solutions and numerical reference data calculated with the commercial software package CST Microwave Studio™ (MWS). The convergence rate of the results is shown to be of second‐order for smooth curved metal surfaces. The overall accuracy of the approach is comparable to that of CST MWS™. Natural rubber was reinforced with sisal and oil palm fibers and was subjected to dynamic mechanical analysis to determine the dynamic properties as a function of temperature. The storage modulus E′ was found to increase with weight fraction of fiber. This is due to the increased stiffness imparted by the natural fibers. Loss modulus increased with loading while the damping property was found to decrease. The fibers were subjected to alkali treatment of different concentrations namely 0.5, 1, 2, and 4% and the dynamic properties were studied. In the case of composites containing chemically modified fibers, storage modulus and loss modulus were found to increase. Scanning electron micrographs of tensile fracture surfaces of treated and untreated composites demonstrated better fiber–matrix bonding in the case of the former. POLYM. This paper presents the application of the analytical model for locally contacted rear sides recently published by Fischer to the determination of recombination losses of solar cells with fixed metallization fraction, but varying contact pitch. After the successful experimental validation of the model on oxide‐passivated solar cells with ohmic contacts, the model was used for a detailed investigation of rear sides prepared by the laser‐fired contacts (LFC) method. In this way the surface recombination velocity (SRV) at the very contact areas was extracted for a broad base doping range. The determined parameterization allows the calculation of the SRV of any LFC rear side concerning base doping and contact pitch. The excellent passivation quality of the alnealed oxide with LFC contacts is shown: on 1 (100) Ω cm FZ an effective SRV of only 35 (4·3) cm/s could be measured with 1000 µm contact pitch. Gephyrin has long been thought of as a master regulator for inhibitory synapses, acting as a scaffold to organize γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptors (GABAARs) at the post-synaptic density. Accordingly, gephyrin immunostaining has been used as an indicator of inhibitory synapses; despite this, the pan-synaptic localization of gephyrin to specific classes of inhibitory synapses has not been demonstrated. Genetically encoded fibronectin intrabodies generated with mRNA display (FingRs) against gephyrin (Gephyrin.FingR) reliably label endogenous gephyrin, and can be tagged with fluorophores for comprehensive synaptic quantitation and monitoring. Here we investigated input- and target-specific localization of gephyrin at a defined class of inhibitory synapse, using Gephyrin.FingR proteins tagged with EGFP in brain tissue from transgenic mice. Parvalbumin-expressing (PV) neuron presynaptic boutons labeled using Cre- dependent synaptophysin-tdTomato were aligned with postsynaptic Gephyrin.FingR puncta. We discovered that more than one-third of PV boutons adjacent to neocortical pyramidal (Pyr) cell somas lack postsynaptic gephyrin labeling. This finding was confirmed using correlative fluorescence and electron microscopy. Our findings suggest some inhibitory synapses may lack gephyrin. Gephyrin-lacking synapses may play an important role in dynamically regulating cell activity under different physiological conditions.  相似文献

For a simple biphasic hydrolysis, we show that the application of various reaction conditions in microreactors using segmented flow can dramatically increase the reaction rate. A tandem diazotation/Heck reaction served as an example that even homogeneous reactions can be accelerated by segmentation in microreactors.  相似文献

Differential scanning calorimetry experiments with an unsaturated polyolester oil at 190°C showed that an organotellurium compound in combination with a thiol or a sterically hindered phenol (BHT) could act in a synergistic fashion to protect the material from oxidation. Under more realistic conditions for an oil antioxidant (elevated temperature in the presence of oxygen, water and a copper coil; rotating pressure vessel oxidation test) the antioxidant protection offered by the organotellurium/thiol and organotellurium/BHT combinations could not match the protection offered by BHT itself at similar concentrations. In order for the novel antioxidant systems to become useful for protection of oils and fluids, more robust organotellurium compounds must be prepared.
