We report on the Sb induced modifications of the morphology of self assembled Ge/Si(100) quantum dot stacks in a Si matrix grown by a molecular beam epitaxy. It is shown that the size of the quantum dots in the stack and the Si spacer layer uniformity inside the stack are regulated by the amount of deposited Sb. We consider the thin Sb layer at the Ge/Si growth interface as a factor limiting the surface migration of Si and Ge ad-atoms. The surface diffusion coefficients of Si ad-atom on uncovered pyramid shaped Ge island and on a Ge island covered by a single monolayer of Sb are estimated to be 2.4 μm2s−1 and 2.3 × 10−4 μm2s−1 at a temperature of 600 °C, correspondingly. Based on this remarkable reduction of surface diffusion the morphology of the surface can be preserved when the growth is continued after the single monolayer of Sb is at the surface.  相似文献

Amino acids (AAs) are crucial for the developing conceptus prior to implantation. To provide insights into the requirements of the bovine embryo, we determined the AA composition of the uterine fluid. At days 12, 15, and 18 post-estrus, the uteri of synchronized pregnant and non-pregnant Simmental heifers were flushed for the analysis of 41 AAs and their derivatives by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The ipsilateral endometrium was sampled for quantitative PCR. In addition to a pregnancy-dependent increase of the essential AAs (P<0.01), we detected elevated concentrations for most non-essential proteinogenic AAs. Histidine (His) and the expression of the His/peptide transporter solute carrier 15A3 (SLC15A3) were significantly increased at day 18 of pregnancy in vivo. In addition, SLC15A3 was predominantly stimulated by trophoblast-derived interferon-τ in stroma cells of an in vitro co-culture model of endometrial cells. Our results show an increased concentration of AAs most likely to optimally provide the elongating pre-attachment conceptus with nutrients.  相似文献

We report a spontaneous phase transformation of titania nanotubes induced by water at room temperature, which enables the as-anodized amorphous nanotubes to be crystallized into anatase mesoporous nanowires without any other post-treatments. These mesoporous TiO(2) nanomaterials have a markedly improved surface area, about 5.5 times than that of the as-anodized TiO(2) nanotubes, resulting in a pronounced enhanced photocatalytic activity. The present approach not only allows a flexible control over the morphology of TiO(2) nanostructures but can fundamentally eliminate the need for high temperature operations for crystallizing amorphous TiO(2).  相似文献

La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3)-SrRuO(3) superlattices with and without nanometrically thin SrTiO(3), BaTiO(3) and Ba(0.7)Sr(0.3)TiO(3) interlayers were grown by pulsed laser deposition. Transmission electron microscopy studies showed coherent growth of La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3), SrRuO(3) and SrTiO(3) layers with atomically sharp interfaces, even if individual layers were as thin as one or two unit cells. In contrast, misfit dislocations and unit cell high interfacial steps were observed at the interfaces between BaTiO(3) and one of the ferromagnetic layers. The presence of the interlayers as well as these extended defects had a significant influence on the magnetic properties of the superlattices, especially on the antiferromagnetic interlayer exchange coupling between the La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3) and SrRuO(3) layers and the exchange biasing. Surprisingly, exchange biasing was found to increase with decreasing strength of the antiferromagnetic interlayer exchange coupling. This was explained by different magnetization reversal mechanisms acting in the regimes of strong and weak interlayer exchange coupling.  相似文献

Dynamic charge acceptance and charge acceptance under constant voltage charging conditions are for two reasons essential for lead-acid battery operation: energy efficiency in applications with limited charging time (e.g. PV systems or regenerative braking in vehicles) and avoidance of accelerated ageing due to sulphation. Fixation of β-Cyclodextrinderivatives on Polyester Fibres . Syntheses of derivatives of β-cyclodextrin are described which aimed at a partial substitution of OH-groups by hydrophobic moieties. According to such substitution it can be envisaged that those derivatives are applicable to polyester fabric treatment by conventional dispersion dyeing methods. By applying such textile finishing agents it can be expected to impart hydrophilic properties to the fabric due to unsubstituted OH-groups of the cyclodextrin but still remaining complexation ability due to the cyclodextrin inner torus. The success of anchoring of the derivatives onto polyester and methods for evidence of cyclodextrin derivatives on the polyester surface (iodine incorporation, fluorescence activity of dyestuffs included, FT-IR-spectroscopy) are given.  相似文献
