(1) Objective: Considering that current knowledge of mechanisms involved in the molecular pathogenesis of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) is limited, we conducted a systematic review to evaluate cumulative data obtained by Proton Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic (1H MRS) studies. (2) Methods: A computer-based literature search of Medline, EMBASE, PsycInfo, and ProQuest was performed. Only cross-sectional studies using 1H MRS techniques in participants with SAD and healthy controls (HCs) were selected. (3) Results: The search generated eight studies. The results indicated regional abnormalities in the ‘fear neurocircuitry’ in patients with SAD. The implicated regions included the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC), insula, occipital cortex (OC), as well as the subcortical regions, including the thalamus, caudate, and the putamen. (4) Conclusions: The evidence derived from eight studies suggests that possible pathophysiological mechanisms of SAD include impairments in the integrity and function of neurons and glial cells, including disturbances in energy metabolism, maintenance of phospholipid membranes, dysregulations of second messenger systems, and excitatory/inhibitory neurocircuitry. Conducting more cross-sectional studies with larger sample sizes is warranted given the limited evidence in this area of research.  相似文献

Virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) pathogenesis involves liver inflammation, therefore, despite successful treatment, hepatitis C virus (HCV) may progress to HCC from initiated liver cirrhosis. Cytotoxic T cells (Tcs) are known to be involved in HCV-related cirrhotic complications and HCC pathogenesis. The inhibitory checkpoint leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1) is expressed on Tcs. Therefore, we aimed to determine whether the Tc expression level of LAIR-1 is associated with HCC progression and to evaluate LAIR-1 expression as a noninvasive biomarker for HCC progression in the context of liver cirrhosis related to HCV genotype 4 (G4) in Egyptian patients’ peripheral venous blood liquid biopsy. A total of 64 patients with HCC and 37 patients with liver cirrhosis were enrolled in this case-controlled study, and their LAIR-1 expression on Tc related to the progression of liver cirrhosis was examined and compared to that of the apparently healthy control group (n = 20). LAIR-1 expression was analyzed using flow cytometry. Results: The HCC group had significantly higher LAIR-1 expression on Tc and percentage of Tc positive for LAIR-1 (LAIR-1+Tc%) than the HCV G4-related liver cirrhosis group. LAIR-1+Tc% was correlated with the HCC surrogate tumor marker AFP (r = 0.367, p = 0.001) and insulin resistance and inflammation prognostic ratios/indices. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve revealed that adding LAIR-1+Tc% to AFP can distinguish HCC transformation in the Egyptian patients’ cohort. Upregulated LAIR-1 expression on Tc could be a potential screening noninvasive molecular marker for chronic inflammatory HCV G4 related liver cirrhosis. Moreover, LAIR-1 expression on Tc may be one of the players involved in the progression of liver cirrhosis to HCC.  相似文献

The current research examined individual differences in peoples' positive versus negative beliefs about groups. Three studies were conducted to develop and validate a 16-item Beliefs About Groups (BAG) scale. Factor analyses in Studies 1 and 2 identified and replicated a 4-factor solution, with factors reflecting preferences for group versus individual work, positive group performance beliefs, negative group performance beliefs, and beliefs that others will work hard on group tasks. Study 2 also provided evidence for convergent and divergent validity, and explored relationships between the Big Five personality dimensions and group beliefs. Study 3 provided evidence for test–retest reliability. Across these 3 studies, the BAG scale had total score alphas ranging from .83 to .88. Implications of beliefs about groups for member motivation and group performance, as well as for future research and practice, are highlighted. Single-Device-Well (SDW) MOSFETs are high density MOSFET structures based on merging two MOSFET devices; a surface channel device and a buried channel device sharing the same device well and the same gate. A new high speed high density poly I2L structure with deposited polysilicon collector is analyzed and modeled. The switching speed of the proposed poly I2L structure is 4 times higher than that of the conventional structures and the packing density is improved by a factor of 2.The proposed poly I2L structure is gnvestigated using a developed computer simulation model. Parameters sensitivity analysis of the structure is given. The minimum gate delay decreases as the intrinsic base sheet resistivity is increased and as the thin epitaxial layer under the base is decreased. Down scaling effects are discussed. It is shown that a lateral shift of PDP curves along the current axis is proportional to the change in the device area and the IR drop in npn base is proportional to the scaling factor.A structure with technology linewidth L = 2.5 μm exhibits minimum gate delay of 0.6 ns at 150 μA for fan-out F = 3, and a power-delay product of 30 fJ at low current levels. Simulation results are compared with experimental measurements performed on a given poly I2L structure and good agreement has been observed.  相似文献

This paper presents the findings of an experimental research program that was conducted to study the mechanical properties of a natural fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) which is made using the bast fibers of the kenaf plant. The kenaf plant is quickly developing as a replacement crop for the dwindling tobacco industry in the south-eastern United States. Appropriate mixture proportions and mixing procedures are recommended to produce kenaf FRC (KFRC) with fiber volume contents of 1.2% and 2.4%. The compressive strength, compressive modulus, splitting tensile strength and modulus of rupture of KFRC specimens are presented and compared to the properties of plain concrete control specimens. The experimental results indicate that the mechanical properties of KFRC are comparable to those of plain concrete control specimens, particularly when accounting for the effect of the increased w/c ratio required to produce workable KFRC. Further, the results indicate that KFRC generally exhibits more distributed cracking and higher toughness than plain concrete. Scanning electron micrographs (SEM’s) indicate that a good bond between the kenaf fibers and the surrounding matrix is achieved. The SEM’s also provide interesting information regarding the mechanisms which contribute to the failure and post-peak behavior of the KFRC which may be beneficial to future modeling efforts. The research findings indicate that KFRC is a promising ‘green’ construction material which could potentially be used in a number of different structural applications.  相似文献

Two sensitive spectrophotometric and atomic absorption spectrometric procedures are developed for the determination of certain cephalosporins (cefotaxime sodium and cefuroxime sodium). The spectrophotometric methods are based on the charge-transfer complex formation between these drugs as n-donors and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) or p-chloranilic acid (p-CA) as pi-acceptors to give highly coloured complex species. The coloured products are measured spectrophotometrically at 838 and 529 nm for TCNQ and p-CA, respectively. Beer's law is obeyed in a concentration range of 7.6-15.2 and 7.1-20.0 microg x ml(-1) with TCNQ, 95.0-427.5 and 89.0-400.5 microg x ml-1 with p-CA for cefotaxime sodium and cefuroxime sodium, respectively. The atomic absorption spectrometric methods are based on the reaction of the above cited drugs after their alkali-hydrolysis with silver nitrate or lead acetate in neutral aqueous medium. The formed precipitates are quantitatively determined directly or indirectly through the silver or lead content of the precipitate formed or the residual unreacted metal in the filtrate by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The optimum conditions for hydrolysis and precipitation have been carefully studied. Beer's law is obeyed in a concentration range of 1.9-11.4 and 1.78-8.90 microg x ml(-1) with Ag(I), 14.2-57.0 and 13.3-53.4 microg x ml-1 with Pb(II) for cefotaxime sodium and cefuroxime sodium, respectively (for both direct and indirect procedures). The spectrophotometric and the atomic absorption spectrometric procedures hold well their accuracy and precision when applied to the analysis of cefotaxime sodium and cefuroxime sodium dosage forms.  相似文献
