In this paper, the robust input covariance constraint (ICC) control problem with polytopic uncertainty is solved using convex optimization with linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. The ICC control problem is an optimal control problem that optimizes the output performance subjected to multiple constraints on the input covariance matrices. This control problem has significant practical implications when hard constraints need to be satisfied on control actuators. The contribution of this paper is the characterization of the control synthesis LMIs used to solve the robust ICC control problem for polytopic uncertain systems. Both continuous‐ and discrete‐time systems are considered. Parameter‐dependent and independent Lyapunov functions have been used for robust ICC controller synthesis. Force-driven liquid argon flows both in nanoscale periodic domains and in gold nano-channels are simulated using non-equilibrium molecular dynamics to investigate the scale and wall force field effects. We examined variations in liquid density, viscosity, velocity profile, slip length, shear stress and mass flow rate in different sized periodic domains and nano-channels at a fixed thermodynamic state. In the absence of walls, liquid argon obeys Newton’s law of viscosity with the desired absolute viscosity in domains as small as 4 molecular diameters in height. Results prove that deviations from continuum solution are solely due to wall effects. Simulations in nano-channels with heights varying from 3.26 to 36 nm exhibit parabolic velocity profiles with constant slip length modeled by Navier-type slip boundary condition. Both channel averaged density and “apparent viscosity” decrease with reduced channel height, which has competing effects in determination of the mass flow rate. Density layering and wall force field induce deviations from Newton’s law of viscosity in the near-wall region, while constant “apparent viscosity” with the deformation rate from a parabolic velocity profile successfully predicts shear stress in the bulk flow region. 相似文献

The main contribution of this paper is to completely characterize the dynamic behavior of the discrete‐time double integrator with a saturated locally stabilizing linear state feedback law. In continuous‐time setting, any linear state feedback control law that locally stabilizes the double integrator also globally stabilizes the system in the presence of actuator saturation. In discrete‐time setting, the equivalent of the double integrator does not have the same property. In this paper, we completely characterize the global behavior of saturated locally stabilizing linear state feedback laws for the discrete‐time double integrator. Service Oriented Architecture with underlying technologies like web services and web service orchestration opens new vistas for integration among business processes operating in heterogeneous environments. However, such dynamic collaborations require a highly secure environment at each respective business partner site. Existing web services standards address the issue of security only on the service provider platform. The partner platforms to which sensitive information is released have till now been neglected. Remote Attestation is a relatively new field of research which enables an authorized party to verify that a trusted environment actually exists on a partner platform. To incorporate this novel concept in to the web services realm, a new mechanism called WS-Attestation has been proposed. This mechanism provides a structural paradigm upon which more fine-grained solutions can be built. In this paper, we present a novel framework, Behavioral Attestation for Web Services, in which XACML is built on top of WS-Attestation in order to enable more flexible remote attestation at the web services level. We propose a new type of XACML policy called XACML behavior policy, which defines the expected behavior of a partner platform. Existing web service standards are used to incorporate remote attestation at the web services level and a prototype is presented, which implements XACML behavior policy using low-level attestation techniques. 相似文献

Data aggregation is a key, yet time-consuming functionality in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Multi-channel design is a promising technique to alleviate interference as a primary reason for long latency of TDMA aggregation scheduling. Indeed, it provides more potential of parallel transmissions over different frequency channels, thus minimizing time latency. In this paper, we focus on designing a multi-channel minimum latency aggregation scheduling protocol, named MC-MLAS, using a new joint approach for tree construction, channel assignment, and transmission scheduling. To our best knowledge, this is the first work in the literature which combines orthogonal channels and partially overlapping channels to consider the total latency involved in data aggregation. Traffic congestion is one of the main problems in large cities for which several approaches have been proposed. Park-and-ride is one of the best approaches that can remove traffic from the traffic network. Park-and-ride facilities are an important part of urban mass transit systems, effectively extending the service area and attracting commuters and other people who may not otherwise have used mass transit. However, its efficiency depends on its location in the urban network. In this research, we focus on travel time of shortest paths instead of the distance criterion for computing network traffic and develop a model for finding the best location(s) for siting park-and-ride systems so as to minimize the network traffic. The model is formulated based on population points, potential sites for park-and-ride establishment, and several Central Business District (CBDs). Then we present a Genetic algorithm that has been proved to be efficient in solving large size problems.
