The present study focused on dyeing, fastness, cytotoxic properties, and phenolic constituents of various types of fabrics including viscose, cotton, wool, and polyester-viscose blended fabrics with different parts of Anthemis tinctoria var. tinctoria. Comparative study was carried out between ethanol and aqueous extracts of stem, flower, and root of the plant in terms of phenolic constituents, cytotoxic activity, and dyeing properties. It was found that the quantity of phenolic constituents of ethanol and aqueous extracts was quite different. All parts of the plant extract show 0% cytotoxicity except ethanol extract of the root. All the extracts exhibit better cytotoxic activity than the standard cancer drug 5-Florouracil. Ethanol and water extracts of A. tinctoria var. tinctoria plant were used to dye fabrics, but only the water extract displayed dyeing properties. Best color strength value (K/S = 9.19) was obtained with aqueous extract of the stem in the presence of alum mordant for cotton fabrics.  相似文献

The magnetic state of Fe–V–Al alloys with nearly stoichiometric (Fe2VAl) compositions varying with respect both to aluminum and transition elements was studied. The effect of strong qualitative change in the magnetic properties induced by small variations of the composition was observed for the first time and analyzed. The key result is the detection of ferromagnetic ordering with a relatively high (~50 K) Curie temperature in an alloy with V atoms substituted in the lattice by Al atoms and the Fe content corresponding to the stoichiometric composition.  相似文献

A Self Organizing Map (SOM), is a machine learning method that represents high-dimensional data in low-dimensional form without losing topological relations of the data. After an unsupervised learning process, it organizes the data on the basis on similarity. In the current study, a SOM based algorithm has been developed which not only produces 2-D maps to analyze the relationship between various factors and crew productivity, but also predicts productivity under given conditions. Validation of the model has been achieved both by using artificial data set and data from 144 concrete pouring, 101 formwork and 101 reinforcement crews. The results show that maps which are produced by the model are satisfactory in clustering the data and prediction performance of the model is superior to similar artificial neural network models.  相似文献

The present work investigates gold recovery using DEAE-cellulose, a common biopolymer derivative, from synthetically prepared diluted gold-bearing solutions of 50 ppm. The effects of different recovery parameters on gold recovery efficiency were studied in detail. It was demonstrated that gold recovery efficiency increased with an increasing amount of sorbent, as well as increasing contact time. A gold recovery efficiency of 99% was attained under conditions of 20–40 g DEAE-cellulose per liter at a shaking rate of 130 rpm for 30 min at room temperature. On the other hand, with smaller amounts of sorbent (6 g/l), it was also possible to recover gold from the solution with 99% efficiency when the reaction temperature was increased to 60 °C. The shaking rate and temperature were demonstrated to play a vital role in the recovery process. It was also found that gold recovery by DEAE-cellulose is an intermediate-controlled process with an activation energy of 37.11 kJ/mol. The XRD pattern and SEM images revealed that the recovered gold was in the metallic form.  相似文献

Optimal space-frequency Group codes for MIMO-OFDM system   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Space-frequency (SF) group codes are designed for multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems. A rather general channel model is assumed, where the channel is frequency-selective Rayleigh fading with arbitrary power-delay profile. It is shown that the SF group code has a symmetric distance structure like the space-time group code, if the group consists of diagonal matrices. A scenario where the multiple codewords are loaded onto the subcarriers of the OFDM system in parallel is considered. The optimality condition on the choice of subcarrier allocation is found, and an optimal subcarrier-allocation scheme is proposed. A transmit scheme where rotated versions of the same signal are transmitted from different transmit antennas is proposed, and it is shown that it satisfies the optimality condition. Then matrix groups are designed which guarantee that the resulting SF codes are full rank. Numerical comparisons with recently published techniques in the literature verify our improved performance.  相似文献

This study investigates the potential of primary sludge fermentation for the generation of readily biodegradable substrate. Experimental evaluation indicates that uncontrolled fermentation converted 22% of the initial volatile suspended solids in the sludge into soluble biodegradable chemical oxygen demand (COD). More than 85% of the soluble COD generated was associated with the formation of short chain volatile fatty acids (VFAs). The recoverable fraction of the fermented sludge supernatant may potentially increase the biodegradable COD content of the primary effluent by 5%. The VFA composition predominantly involved acetic and propionic acids as reported in the literature. Due to the high VFA content, activated sludge Model No. 1 could not predict the COD fractionation in the primary sludge; activated sludge Model No. 3 provided a better interpretation of the oxygen uptake profile through initial storage of the VFAs in the sludge.  相似文献

The influence of temperature on the parameters of the band-to-band emission spectrum of a light-emitting diode based on single-crystal silicon was investigated; the unprecedentedly high stability against variations in temperature was observed for both the electroluminescence intensity at the peak of the spectral distribution (I EL m ) and the wavelength corresponding to this peak (λm). The internal quantum efficiency of the light-emitting diode at room temperature is estimated as no lower than 0.1%. The value of I EL m varies by no more than ~10% as the temperature is varied from 120 to 300 K. The value of λm remains virtually constant in the temperature range of 200–300 K. The unprecedentedly high stability of λm is related to interference effects in the oxide film through which the radiation of the light-emitting exits. It is shown that one of the important factors that govern the temperature stability of I EL m is a decrease in the lifetime of the minority charge carriers with decreasing temperature.  相似文献

Seventeen olive mill wastewater (OMW) samples were characterized. For characterization of the samples, amount of total, fixed, volatile, suspended, volatile-suspended solids, COD, oil-grease, polyphenol, volatile phenol, nitrogen and reducing sugar were determined. Effects of lime treatment on the waste samples were investigated. Reduction of contents of the samples treated with the lime was described. The effect of the addition of lime on an artificial phenolic mixture was also examined.  相似文献

The spectra of spontaneous and stimulated emission of ZnO nanorods grown by two low-temperature procedures are studied. Stimulated emission at 385 nm is observed at room temperature in CVD ZnO nanocrystals pumped by the nitrogen laser radiation at the wavelength 337 nm. The threshold pumping power density for lasing exitonic recombination is ~600 kW/cm2.  相似文献

Direct current (d.c.) and alternating current (a.c.) conductivity measurements have been performed on unannealed amorphous As0.40Se0.40Te0.20 thin films. The d.c. measurements were performed at temperatures between 143 K and 343 K. The d.c. behaviour of the samples indicates different hopping conduction mechanisms between 143 K-210 K and 210 K-343 K. The a.c. measurements were performed at temperatures between 143 K and 300 K and at frequencies between 110 Hz and 1 MHz. The a.c. conductivity of the films is well represented by the form s where C and s are found to be temperature dependent parameters. The data are found to fit the correlated barrier hopping model, especially at low temperatures. The comparison of a.c. data with the unified theory of the extended pair approximation shows that the results fit to the quasi universal law predicted by this model, however, qualitative calculations give unreasonable values for the decay parameter α and the exponent l.  相似文献
