ZrB2–SiC composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at temperatures of 1800–2100 °C for 180–300 s under a pressure of 20 MPa and at higher temperatures of above 2100 °C without a holding time under 10 MPa. Densification, microstructure and mechanical properties of ZrB2–SiC composites were investigated. Fully dense ZrB2–SiC composites containing 20–60 mass% SiC with a relative density of more than 99% were obtained at 2000 and 2100 °C for 180 s. Below 2120 °C, microstructures consisted of equiaxed ZrB2 grains with a size of 2–5 μm and α-SiC grains with a size of 2–4 μm. Morphological change from equiaxed to elongated α-SiC grains was observed at higher temperatures. Vickers hardness of ZrB2–SiC composites increased with increasing sintering temperature and SiC content up to 60 mass%, and ZrB2–SiC composite containing 60 mass% SiC sintered at 2100 °C for 180 s had the highest value of 26.8 GPa. The highest fracture toughness was observed for ZrB2–SiC composites containing 50 mass% SiC independent of sintering temperatures.  相似文献

Photonic crystals (PCs) hold great potential for designing new optical devices because of the possibility of the manipulation of light with PCs. There has been an increase in research on tuning the optical properties of PCs to design devices. We design organic semiconductor-based PC structures and calculate optical properties using the plane wave expansion method and finite-difference time-domain method in an air background for a hexagonal lattice. We showed the possibility of the solar cell arrays for a 2D PC cavity on an organic semiconductor base infiltrated with a nematic liquid crystal. E7 type has been used as a nematic liquid crystal and 4,4′-Bis[4-(diphenylamino) styryl]biphenyl as an organic semiconductor material.  相似文献

Calcium phosphates with Ca/P molar ratios of 0.5, 0.75, 1.33, 1.5, 1.55, 1.67, 2.0, and 2.5 were synthesized by a wet chemistry precipitation method and sintered at 500 °C, 700 °C, 900 °C, 1100 °C and 1300 °C for 2 h. Presence of phases and microstructures of calcium phosphates were determined by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. In all different Ca/P ratios, the precipitated phase was always hydroxyapatite with very small size and/or partial disorderness regardless of the Ca/P ratios in the starting precipitating medium. For samples with 0.5 and 0.75 Ca/P ratios in starting solution, tricalcium phosphate and calcium pyrophosphate phases were observed. In contrast, for samples with 1.0 and 1.33 Ca/P ratios, the only stable phase was tricalcium phosphate. For the samples with Ca/P ratio of 1.5, the tricalcium phosphate phase was dominant. However, small amounts of hydroxyapatite started to appear. For samples with Ca/P ratio of 1.67, the hydroxyapatite phase was dominant. Lastly, for samples with the Ca/P ratios of 2.0 and 2.5, the CaO phase started to appear in addition to the hydroxyapatite phase which was the dominant phase. Moreover, the average grain size, porosity (%) and the average pore size decreased with increasing the Ca/P ratios.  相似文献

A new sensing technology platform integrating magnetic permeability detection and a two-site heterogeneous immunoassay in a one-step analysis is described. As a platform model, measurements of C-reactive protein (CRP), a cardiac and inflammation marker, were performed in a rapid (11.5 min) high-sensitivity (hs) procedure with a low detection limit (0.2 mg/L) and accuracy (CV = 11%). The two-site heterogeneous immunoassay was performed in 1.2-mL disposable reagents vials containing solid phase (polyclonal anti-CRP conjugated silica microparticles), labeling agent (monoclonal anti-CRP conjugated superparamagnetic nanoparticles), and reaction buffer. Whole blood (20 muL) was assayed by introducing the sample into a reagent vial using a glass capillary and mixing its contents by hand for 30 s. After a 11-min sedimentation step, the vial was placed into the coil of the magnetic permeability detector, which measured the enrichment of superparamagnetic nanoparticles in the solid-phase sediment. Magnetic permeability detection and quantification is based on the principle that when paramagnetic materials are placed inside a coil, the inductance of the coil is influenced. Screening of CRP on whole blood patient samples showed good correlation with central hospital measurements for hsCRP (y = 1.018x - 0.021, R(2) = 0.980, n = 103) and normal range CRP (y = 1.02x + 2.53, R(2)= 0.991, n = 33) analyses. The mean differences of the two methods according to the Bland and Altman plots were -0.03 +/- 1.12 mg/L for hsCRP analysis and -3.4 +/- 8.64 mg/L for normal range CRP analysis.  相似文献

Batch adsorption studies were carried out for the sorption of C.I. Reactive Black 5, a reactive dye, onto high lime fly ash, obtained from Soma Thermal Power Plant (Turkey), to be low cost adsorbent. The effect of various experimental parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dose and initial dye concentration were investigated. Determination of the adsorption equilibrium concentrations was determined by UV-vis spectrophotometry analytical method. Equilibrium data were fitted to the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm equations and the equilibrium data were found to be well represented by the Freundlich isotherm equation. The adsorption kinetics of C.I. Reactive Black 5 onto high lime fly ash were also studied to characterize of the surface complexation reaction. A pseudo-second-order mechanism has been developed to predict the rate constant of the adsorption, the equilibrium capacity and initial adsorption rate with the effect of initial concentration. A single-stage batch adsorber design of the adsorption of C.I. Reactive Black 5 onto high lime fly ash has been studied based on the Freundlich isotherm equation.  相似文献

Utilizing lentil protein as a novel ingredient for producing texturized vegetable proteins (TVPs) can provide new opportunities for the production of next-generation hybrid meat products. TVPs from lentil protein isolate were manufactured using low-moisture extrusion cooking at different combinations of screw speed (SS), feed moisture content (MC), and barrel temperature (BT) profile. In total, seven different combinations of processing treatments were tested, and the resulting TVPs were characterized for their physical (rehydration ratio, texture profile analysis, color, and bulk density), techno-functional (oil and water holding capacities), and microstructural properties. The processing conditions of higher SS and lower MC resulted in increased values of several textural profile attributes (springiness, cohesiveness, and resilience), increased water holding capacity (WHC), and decreased bulk density. Compared to raw lentil protein, TVPs showed enhanced oil holding capacity, though WHC either decreased or remained constant. The extrusion response parameters (die pressure, torque, and specific mechanical energy) showed positive correlations with several physical properties (texture, WHC, and total color change), revealing their potential for serving as important TVP quality indicators. TVPs produced at SS, MC, and BT of 450 rpm, 30%, and 140°C, respectively, showed relatively better overall physical and techno-functional quality and can be used as meat extenders in hybrid meat patties. Overall, this research evidenced the viability of lentil protein as a potential ingredient for producing low-moisture TVPs.  相似文献

Al2O3 and AlN powder mixtures were used to synthesise AlON ceramics using the reactive spark plasma sintering (SPS) method at temperatures between 1400 and 1650 °C for 15-45 min at 40 MPa under N2 gas flow. AlON phase formation was initiated in the samples sintered above 1430 °C, according to the X-ray analysis. The complete transformation of the initial phases (Al2O3 and AlN) into AlON was observed in the samples that were spark plasma sintered at 1650 °C for 30 min at 40 MPa. A high spark plasma sintering temperature together with a low heating rate produced a greater amount of AlON formation at a constant process time. The densification, microstructure and mechanical properties of the produced ceramics were analysed. The highest hardness value was recorded to be 16.7 GPa, and the fracture toughness of the sample with the highest AlON ratio was measured to be 3.95 MPa m1/2.  相似文献

The degradation and mineralization of amoxicillin in an aqueous solution was accomplished by using a photo-Fenton treatment. An ultraviolet light source with a 254-nm wavelength was used with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and iron(II). The effects of reagent concentrations on amoxicillin degradation and mineralization were investigated systematically by using the Box-Behnken statistical experiment design. Amoxicillin (10–200??mgL-1), H2O2 (10–500??mgL-1), and iron(II) (0–50??mgL-1) concentrations were considered independent variables; the percent amoxicillin degradation and the total organic carbon (TOC) removal (mineralization) were the objective functions to be maximized. Both H2O2 and iron(II) concentrations affected the extent of the amoxicillin degradation and mineralization. The amoxicillin degradation was completed within 2.5?min, and 53% mineralization took place within 60?min. The optimum H2O2∶Fe∶amoxicillin ratio that resulted in complete amoxicillin degradation and 53% mineralization was 100∶40∶105??mgL-1.  相似文献
