A novel, Nb- and Si-rich and Be-free Ni-based alloy was cast by two methods of investment casting and continuous casting to study the microstructure evolution during solidification and its mechanical properties. The solidification of the alloy started with the primary crystallization of FCC-γ, followed by a binary eutectic reaction, with the formation of a heterogeneous constituent: FCC-γ+G-phase, which replaced the low-melting eutectic (FCC-γ+NiBe) in the Be-bearing alloys. AlNi6Si3 and γ′ formed during the terminal stages of solidification by investment casting, while the formation of AlNi6Si3 was suppressed by continuous casting. The Scheil solidification model agreed very well with the experimental results.  相似文献

An alkaline Pb–Sn plating bath containing sorbitol as additive has been developed, which has the advantage of low toxicity and ease of handling relative to fluoborate baths, etc. The Pb–Sn deposition voltammetric curve from this bath revealed two deposition processes, at −0.87 and −1.17 V. The voltammetric studies at various sweep rates indicate that the Pb–Sn deposition process is controlled by mass transport. The joint diffusion coefficient of the Pb(II) and Sn(II) sorbitate complex species is 1.15 × 10−6 cm2 s−1. SEM analysis showed that the films produced at −0.87 and −1.17 V are, respectively, composed of dendritic or hexagonal crystals, showing that co-deposition of tin hindered dendritic growth. EDS of the Pb–Sn films showed that the deposit obtained at −0.87 V is pure lead, while that at −1.17 V, with 5.0 or 10.0 C cm−2, has 19.10 wt% Sn or 26.35 wt% Sn, respectively. It was observed that the Pb–Sn electrodeposited films were grey at both deposition potentials (−0.87 and −1.17 V) and deposition charges (5.0 and 10.0 C cm−2). X-ray spectra showed that at the potential −0.87 V a mixture of Pb, PbPt4 and Pb2PtO4 were deposited, while at −1.17 V, Pb, β-Sn, and PbSnO3 were deposited.  相似文献

Numerical and theoretical investigations are presented for a double screen frequency selective surface (DSFSS) with perfectly conducting Koch fractal patch elements. The work was developed in two steps, in the first step two Koch fractal FSS screens were designed using the commercial software Ansoft DesignerTM. In the second these FSS were cascaded and separated by an air gap layer, forming the so-called DSFSS, to improve the bandwidth behavior. Thereafter, a numerical cascading technique is used to analyze the effect of the air gap on the DSFSS. The results were compared and a good agreement was observed.  相似文献

A primary enzyme for the metabolism of cocaine is butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). To determine whether the systemic administration of BChE can increase the metabolism of cocaine sufficiently to alter a behavioral effect, rats were tested in a locomotor activity chamber after receiving 17 mg of cocaine per kg intraperitoneally. In rats pretreated intravenously with 5,000 IU of horse serum-derived BChE, the locomotor activity effect was significantly attenuated. BChE pretreatment increased plasma BChE levels approximately 400-fold. When added to rat plasma, this amount of BChE reduced the cocaine half-life from over 5 hr to less than 5 min. BChE altered the cocaine metabolic pattern such that the relatively nontoxic metabolite ecgonine methyl ester was produced, rather than benzoylecgonine. These results suggest that systemic administration of BChE can increase the metabolism of cocaine sufficiently to alter a behavioral effect of cocaine and thus should be investigated as a potential treatment for cocaine abuse. This work focuses on the reuse of grits waste, from cellulose industry, as a raw material to replace traditional carbonate material in ceramic wall tiles. Wall tile formulations bearing up to 15?wt% of the grits waste were prepared for replacement of calcareous. The tile manufacturing route consisted of dry powder granulation, uniaxial pressing, and firing at temperatures ranging from 1100?°C to 1180?°C by using a fast-firing cycle. The wall tile specimens were tested to determine their physical and mechanical properties (linear shrinkage, water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent density, breaking strength, and flexural strength). The firing behavior, phase transformations, and microstructure were evaluated by dilatometry, XRD, and SEM. The results showed that the fired wall tile specimens are composed of anorthite and quartz, as major mineral phases, and mullite as a minor phase. It was found that the grits waste had a positive influence on the properties and microstructure of the wall tile specimens. The results also revealed that the grits waste from cellulose industry could be used as a total replacement of traditional calcareous material in wall tile formulations.  相似文献

The babassu coconut is a plant very abundant in northeast of Brazil and other countries, and any part of plant and fruit becomes residue. In this study, babassu mesocarp (Orbignya sp) (BM) was chemically modified with phthalic anhydride (BMPA) to increase its solubility in an aqueous medium, and thus facilitate its processing in the form of thin films. The reaction of modification of the babassu mesocarp with phthalic anhydride (PA), obtaining BMPA, was confirmed by FTIR, XRD, TG/DTG, Zeta Potential and SEM analysis, from the differences in the bands of the FTIR spectra, increase in crystallinity, new thermal profile, changes in zeta potential value and morphology, respectively. The thin monolayer films of BM and BMPA were produced by the self-assembly monolayer (SAM) technique, and adsorbed onto conductive glass substrates (tin-doped indium oxide, ITO). The electroactive properties of these thin films were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). BM exhibited a pair redox pair process of +0.57 V(oxidation) and?+?0.19 V (reduction) for BM. In BMPA these redox processes were observed at +0.37 V (oxidation) and 0.24 V vs. ECS (reduction), verifying that both BM and BMPA are electroactive materials that can be used in the construction of sensor platforms, without the necessity of being conjugated with other electroactive materials, such as conductive polymers, metal phthalocyanines, or dyes. Furthermore, under the experimental conditions used, the BMPA presented a more reversible redox process and higher electrochemical stability in comparison to BM. This effect occurs because BMPA has higher solubility in aqueous media, which favors the preparation of films with smaller grain sizes compared to BM films, as observed by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). This study showed that BMPA is a new material with potential for applications in electrochemical sensors.

Cloud computing systems handle large volumes of data by using almost unlimited computational resources, while spatial data warehouses (SDWs) are multidimensional databases that store huge volumes of both spatial data and conventional data. Cloud computing environments have been considered adequate to host voluminous databases, process analytical workloads and deliver database as a service, while spatial online analytical processing (spatial OLAP) queries issued over SDWs are intrinsically analytical. However, hosting a SDW in the cloud and processing spatial OLAP queries over such database impose novel obstacles. In this article, we introduce novel concepts as cloud SDW and spatial OLAP as a service, and afterwards detail the design of novel schemas for cloud SDW and spatial OLAP query processing over cloud SDW. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance to process spatial OLAP queries in cloud SDWs using our own query processor aided by a cloud spatial index. Moreover, we describe the cloud spatial bitmap index to improve the performance to process spatial OLAP queries in cloud SDWs, and assess it through an experimental evaluation. Results derived from our experiments revealed that such index was capable to reduce the query response time from 58.20 up to 98.89 %.  相似文献
