This work presents an efficient on-chip ramp generator targeting to facilitate the deployment of Built-In Self-Test (BIST) techniques for ADC static linearity characterization. The proposed ramp generator is based on a fully-differential switched-capacitor integrator that is conveniently modified to produce a very small integration gain, such that the ramp step size is a small fraction of the LSB of the target ADC. The proposed ramp generator is employed in a servo-loop configuration to implement a BIST version of the reduced-code linearity test technique for pipeline ADCs, which drastically reduces the volume of test data and, thereby, the test time, as compared to the standard test based on a histogram. The demonstration of the pipeline ADC BIST is carried out based on a mixture of transistor-level and behavioral-level simulations that employ actual production test data.  相似文献

A novel, unobtrusive and wearable, multiparameter ambulatory physiologic monitoring system for space and terrestrial applications, termed LifeGuard, is presented. The core element is a wearable monitor, the crew physiologic observation device (CPOD), that provides the capability to continuously record two standard electrocardiogram leads, respiration rate via impedance plethysmography, heart rate, hemoglobin oxygen saturation, ambient or body temperature, three axes of acceleration, and blood pressure. These parameters can be digitally recorded with high fidelity over a 9-h period with precise time stamps and user-defined event markers. Data can be continuously streamed to a base station using a built-in Bluetooth RF link or stored in 32 MB of on-board flash memory and downloaded to a personal computer using a serial port. The device is powered by two AAA batteries. The design, laboratory, and field testing of the wearable monitors are described.  相似文献

The Gauss-Newton algorithm is often used to minimize a nonlinear least-squares loss function instead of the original Newton-Raphson algorithm. The main reason is the fact that only first-order derivatives are needed to construct the Jacobian matrix. Some applications as, for instance multivariable system identification, give rise to “weighted” nonlinear least-squares problems for which it can become quite hard to obtain an analytical expression of the Jacobian matrix. To overcome that struggle, a pseudo-Jacobian matrix is introduced, which leaves the stationary points untouched and can be calculated analytically. Moreover, by slightly changing the pseudo-Jacobian matrix, a better approximation of the Hessian can be obtained resulting in faster convergence  相似文献

Incorporation of defects in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) offers new opportunities for manipulating their microporosity and functionalities. The so-called “defect engineering” has great potential to tailor the mass transport properties in MOF/polymer mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for challenging separation applications, for example, CO2 capture. This study first investigates the impact of MOF defects on the membrane properties of the resultant MOF/polymer MMMs for CO2 separation. Highly porous defect-engineered UiO-66 nanoparticles are successfully synthesized and incorporated into a CO2-philic crosslinked poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) matrix. A thorough joint experimental/simulation characterization reveals that defect-engineered UiO-66/PEGDA MMMs exhibit nearly identical filler–matrix interfacial properties regardless of the defect concentrations of their parental UiO-66 filler. In addition, non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations in tandem with gas transport studies disclose that the defects in MOFs provide the MMMs with ultrafast transport pathways mainly governed by diffusivity selectivity. Ultimately, MMMs containing the most defective UiO-66 show the most enhanced CO2/N2 separation performance—CO2 permeability = 470 Barrer (four times higher than pure PEGDA) and maintains CO2/N2 selectivity = 41—which overcomes the trade-off limitation in pure polymers. The results emphasize that defect engineering in MOFs would mark a new milestone for the future development of optimized MMMs.  相似文献

Modularity and self-healing are two interesting properties that could help to design more flexible conveyors of micro-objects. In the Smart Blocks project, we propose to design a 2D modular and self-reconfigurable robot composed of centimeter-scale sliding blocks that embed their own actuators and control electronics. This article presents a proof-of-concept of the linkage and of the traveling system as well as an algorithm able to reconfigure a set of blocks from a spatial configuration to another one. Prototype blocks have been realized using electro-permanent magnets which show a good motion speed while saving power consumption during the linkage. Our reconfiguration algorithm is implemented in a simulator software showing in real-time the reconfiguration of the robot.  相似文献

Fitting a causal dynamic model to an image is a fundamental problem in image processing, pattern recognition, and computer vision. In image restoration, for instance, the goal is to recover an estimate of the true image, preferably in the form of a parametric model, given an image that has been degraded by a combination of blur and additive white Gaussian noise. In texture analysis, on the other hand, a model of a particular texture image can serve as a tool for simulating texture patterns. Finally, in image enhancement one computes a model of the true image and the residuals between the image and the modeled image can be interpreted as the result of applying a de-noising filter. There are numerous other applications within the field of image processing that require a causal dynamic model. Such is the case in scene analysis, machined parts inspection, and biometric analysis, to name only a few. There are many types of causal dynamic models that have been proposed in the literature, among which the autoregressive moving average and state-space models (i.e., Kalman filter) are the most commonly used. In this paper we introduce a 2-D stochastic state-space system identification algorithm for fitting a quarter plane causal dynamic Roesser model to an image. The algorithm constructs a causal, recursive, and separable-in-denominator 2-D Kalman filter model. The algorithm is tested with three real images and the quality of the estimated images are assessed.  相似文献

Mixed‐matrix membranes comprising NH2‐MIL‐53(Al) and Matrimid or 6FDA‐DAM have been investigated. The metal organic framework (MOF) loading has been varied between 5 and 20 wt%, while NH2‐MIL‐53(Al) with three different morphologies, nanoparticles, nanorods, and microneedles has been dispersed in Matrimid. The synthesized membranes have been tested in the separation of CO2 from CH4 in an equimolar mixture. At 3 bar and 298 K for 8 wt% MOF loading, incorporation of NH2‐MIL‐53(Al) nanoparticles leads to the largest improvement compared to nanorods and microneedles. The incorporation of the best performing filler, i.e., NH2‐MIL‐53(Al) nanoparticles, into the highly permeable 6FDA‐DAM has a larger effect, and the CO2 permeability increases up to 85% with slightly lower selectivities for 20 wt% MOF loading. Specifically, these membranes have a permeability of 660 Barrer with a CO2/CH4 separation factor of 28, leading to a performance very close to the Robeson limit of 2008. Furthermore, a new non‐destructive technique based on Raman spectroscopy mapping is introduced to assess the homogeneity of the filler dispersion in the polymer matrix. The MOF contribution can be calculated by modeling the spectra. The determined homogeneity of the MOF filler distribution in the polymer is confirmed by focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy analysis.  相似文献
