The directional thermal expansion coefficients of the corundum structure form of Rh2O3 were determined from room temperature to 850°C by x-ray diffraction methods. Rh2O3 has a lower thermal expansion and is less anisotropic in thermal expansion than alumina. The directional thermal expansion coefficients of Rh2O3 expressed in second degree polynominal form are: “αa” = 5.350 ×10?6 + 1.281 ×10?9T ? 1.133 ×10?14T2C and “αc” = 5.246 ×10?6 + 6.369 ×10?9T ? 7.480 ×10?14T2C.  相似文献

It is known that the H-indexes of individuals, research groups, institutions, scientific journals, and countries strongly depend on the field of study, slowly increase with the number of publications, N, and can be described by empirical power-law functions of the type H?=?C?×?Na (C and a are constants and depend on the specific field being analyzed). In this paper, we use this function and propose a new index [Montazerian–Zanotto–Eckert (MZE)], which is normalized by the number of publications and typically varies from ??1 to +?1, to characterize the relative standing of a research group, institution, or author to those of his/her peer groups. Due to the rich statistics available, as an example, here we analyzed and tested the new parameter against the citation-related performance (H-index) of countries. We found that the MZE index readily distinguishes between countries that stand above or below the average (for any given number of publications). Generally, publications of countries with a positive MZE index are more interesting or visible than the average. Analyzing publication output in this manner instead of the H-index allows for a less biased comparison between researchers, journals, universities, or countries for any particular combination of H-index and publication output.

In the present study, aluminum nitride-carbon (AlN-C) nanocomposites are synthesized through a green, facile and inexpensive mechanochemical route. Well-dispersed nanofluids are prepared by milling of nanocomposite in ethylene glycol (EG) without using any surfactants/ dispersants. The resulting nanofluids have an excellent stability with no obvious sedimentation for at least three months. The results confirm the in-situ polymerization of EG on AlN surface and the formation of hyperbranched glycerol upon milling which in turn stabilizes the particles through a steric effect. The working nanofluids with very low loadings of up to 0.22 vol% of powder exhibit an enhanced heat transfer coefficient (h) of about 24% compared to that of the base fluid in a laminar flow regime (Re = 160). Brownian motion and boundary layer thinning are known as the main mechanisms, causing for this enhancement.  相似文献

We present a novel method to reconstruct a fluid's 3D density and motion based on just a single sequence of images. This is rendered possible by using powerful physical priors for this strongly under‐determined problem. More specifically, we propose a novel strategy to infer density updates strongly coupled to previous and current estimates of the flow motion. Additionally, we employ an accurate discretization and depth‐based regularizers to compute stable solutions. Using only one view for the reconstruction reduces the complexity of the capturing setup drastically and could even allow for online video databases or smart‐phone videos as inputs. The reconstructed 3D velocity can then be flexibly utilized, e.g., for re‐simulation, domain modification or guiding purposes. We will demonstrate the capacity of our method with a series of synthetic test cases and the reconstruction of real smoke plumes captured with a Raspberry Pi camera.  相似文献
