In a recent paper, Begum et al. (2012 Begum, R., Sahoo, R.R., and Sahu, S.K. (2012), ‘A Replenishment Policy for Items with Price-Dependent Demand, Time-Proportional Deterioration and no Shortages’, International Journal of Systems Science, 43, 903910.[Taylor &; Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar], International Journal of Systems Science, 43, 903–910) established pricing and replenishment policy for an inventory system with price-sensitive demand rate, time-proportional deterioration rate which follows three parameters, Weibull distribution and no shortages. In their model formulation, it is observed that the retailer's stock level reaches zero before the deterioration occurs. Consequently, the model resulted in traditional inventory model with price sensitive demand rate and no shortages. Hence, the main purpose of this note is to modify and present complete model formulation for Begum et al. (2012) Begum, R., Sahoo, R.R., and Sahu, S.K. (2012), ‘A Replenishment Policy for Items with Price-Dependent Demand, Time-Proportional Deterioration and no Shortages’, International Journal of Systems Science, 43, 903910.[Taylor &; Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]. α,β-unsaturated nitriles are chemoselectively hydrogenated to corresponding saturated nitriles with Pd(OAc)2/PPh3 as a homogeneous catalytic system using atmospheric pressure of molecular hydrogen. Various parameters like catalyst concentration, role of solvents, variation in the reaction temperature were screened and optimized reaction conditions were successfully used for chemoselective hydrogenation of other diaryl substituted α,β-unsaturated nitriles. The present catalytic system have also been used for hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated carbonyls at atmospheric pressure of hydrogen.  相似文献

Soft robots have the appealing advantages of being highly flexible and adaptive to complex environments. However, the low‐stiffness nature of the constituent materials makes soft robotic systems incompetent in tasks requiring relatively high load capacity. Despite recent attempts to develop stiffness‐tunable soft actuators by employing variable stiffness materials and structures, the reported stiffness‐tunable actuators generally suffer from limitations including slow responses, small deformations, and difficulties in fabrication with microfeatures. This work presents a paradigm to design and manufacture fast‐response, stiffness‐tunable (FRST) soft actuators via hybrid multimaterial 3D printing. The integration of a shape memory polymer layer into the fully printed actuator body enhances its stiffness by up to 120 times without sacrificing flexibility and adaptivity. The printed Joule‐heating circuit and fluidic cooling microchannel enable fast heating and cooling rates and allow the FRST actuator to complete a softening–stiffening cycle within 32 s. Numerical simulations are used to optimize the load capacity and thermal rates. The high load capacity and shape adaptivity of the FRST actuator are finally demonstrated by a robotic gripper with three FRST actuators that can grasp and lift objects with arbitrary shapes and various weights spanning from less than 10 g to up to 1.5 kg.  相似文献

A new wire rope tester based on principle of magnetic flux leakage is constructed. Two rings of NdFeB are cut in axial direction into 32 equal arc segments such that each arc segment subtends an angle of 22.5° at the centre. These arc segments are then parallely magnetized in magnetizer. A ferromagnetic cylinderical yoke is constructed by hinging two ferromagnetic half cylinders along one axial edge. A fixture consisting of a wooden square base, wooden mandrel, stepped and slotted Aluminium cylinder and Aluminium fillers is made to assemble the NdFeB magnets in a ring on both the ends of the ferromagnetic yoke. A Hall effect sensor is instrumented inside the yoke in the middle at radial distance of 34 mm from the axis of the yoke. A ferromagnetic wire rope with a defect is inserted in the novel wire rope tester. It has been successfully shown by performing Non-destructive testing that whenever a defect in a wire rope passes below the Hall-effect sensor instrumented in the wire rope tester developed in this work, a signal is generated indicating the defect.  相似文献

This paper investigates the interest focused on employing parallel connected dc-dc converter with high tracking effectiveness under wide variation in environmental conditions (Insolation) and wide load variation. dc-dc converter is an essential part of the stand alone PV system. Paper also presents an approach on how duty cycle for maximum power position (MPP) is adjusted by taking care of varying load conditions and without iterative steps. Synchronized PWM pulses are employed for the converter. High tracking efficiency is achieved with continuous input and inductor current. In this approach, the converter can he utilized in buck as well in boost mode. The PV system simulation was verified and experimental results were in agreement to the presented scheme.  相似文献

Power generation with the help of Photovoltaic (PV) arrays is emphasized increasingly and regarded as an important resource of power energy in the coming years. As the power supplied by PV arrays depends upon the insolation, temperature and array voltage, it is necessary to control the operating point to extract the maximum power from the PV arrays. A number of methods for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) has been reported in the literature. This paper discusses an adaptive method as well as compares with the conventional fixed step size method, effectively improves the MPPT speed and accuracy simultaneously. An adaptive algorithm and two phase dc-dc Converter is exercised as a MPP tracker. Ripple reduction is possible at input and output side of the converter. Mathematical models of converter are developed using state space averaging technique. The tracking responses of the system operating at the solar array MPP are evaluated. A theoretical analysis of the new algorithm in connection with dc-dc converter is provided and its feasibility is also verified by simulation results.  相似文献

Multi-metric indices of biological integrity (IBIs) are most frequently created by examining single biological metrics along gradients of environmental degradation, and then combining multiple metrics using "best professional judgment" to characterize and calibrate stressor-response relationships. We aim to provide an efficient data analysis and visualization tool to assess the simultaneous effects of anthropogenic stressors on the fish population through the fish metrics and the associated Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI). Kohonen's self-organizing feature maps (SOM), unsupervised neural networks, are employed to pattern the sampling sites in the state of Ohio based on similar metrics characteristics. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) allows us then to draw conclusions about the role of the environmental variables in maintaining the perfect abode for fishes. Different visualizations superimposed with SOM clustering are realized to explore the complex interrelationships in the aquatic system and aid watershed managers to comprehend the effects of the environment on the fish.  相似文献
