The principal objective of this study is to formulate an effective optimal fuel management strategy for the TRIGA MARK II research reactor at AERE, Savar. The core management study has been performed by utilizing four basic types of information calculated for the reactor: criticality, power peaking, neutron flux and burnup calculation. This paper presents the results of the burnup calculations for TRIGA LEU fuel elements. The fuel element burnup for approximately 20 years of operation was calculated using the TRIGAP compute code. The calculation is performed in one-dimensional radial geometry in TRIGAP. Inter-comparison of TRIGAP results with other two calculations performed by MVP-BURN and MCNP4C-ORIGEN2.1 show very good agreement. Reshuffling at 20,000 MWh step provides the highest core lifetime of the reactor, which is 64,500 MWh. Besides, the study gives valuable insight into the behaviour of the reactor and will ensure better utilization and operation of the reactor in future.  相似文献

The isobaric ideal-gas heat capacity for HFO-1234yf, which is expected to be one of the best alternative refrigerants for HFC-134a, was determined on the basis of speed-of-sound measurements in the gaseous phase. The speed of sound was measured by means of the acoustic resonance method using a spherical cavity. The resonance frequency in the spherical cavity containing the sample gas was measured to determine the speed of sound. After correcting for some effects such as the thermal boundary layer and deformation of the cavity on the resonance frequency, the speed of sound was obtained with a relative uncertainty of 0.01 %. Using the measured speed-of-sound data, the acoustic-virial equation was formulated and the isobaric ideal-gas heat capacity was determined with a relative uncertainty of 0.1 %. A temperature correlation function of the isobaric ideal-gas heat capacity for HFO-1234yf was also developed.  相似文献

The rnhA gene encoding RNase HI from a psychrotrophic bacterium,Shewanella sp. SIB1, was cloned, sequenced and overexpressedin an rnh mutant strain of Escherichia coli. SIB1 RNase HI iscomposed of 157 amino acid residues and shows 63% amino acidsequence identity to E.coli RNase HI. Upon induction, the recombinantprotein accumulated in the cells in an insoluble form. Thisprotein was solubilized and purified in the presence of 7 Murea and refolded by removing urea. Determination of the enzymaticactivity using M13 DNA–RNA hybrid as a substrate revealedthat the enzymatic properties of SIB1 RNase HI, such as divalentcation requirement, pH optimum and cleavage mode of a substrate,are similar to those of E.coli RNase HI. However, SIB1 RNaseHI was much less stable than E.coli RNase HI and the temperature(T1/2) at which the enzyme loses half of its activity upon incubationfor 10 min was ~25°C for SIB1 RNase HI and ~60°C forE.coli RNase HI. The optimum temperature for the SIB1 RNaseHI activity was also shifted downward by 20°C compared withthat of E.coli RNase HI. Nevertheless, SIB1 RNase HI was lessactive than E.coli RNase HI even at low temperatures. The specificactivity determined at 10°C was 0.29 units/mg for SIB1 RNaseHI and 1.3 units/mg for E.coli RNase HI. Sliding friction experiments under vacuum lubricated with additive-free multialkylatedcyclopentane (MAC) were carried out using a ball-on-disc tribometer with 440C stainless steel as the material of the specimen. Antiwear characteristics of additive-free MAC during the steady friction region under vacuum were shown to be better than those of perfluoropolyether (PFPE). However, it was found that the friction coefficient lubricated with the additive-free MAC under vacuum showed an initial seizure-like high friction of approximately 0.2 at the beginning of the test, followed by a steady low friction of approximately 0.1. It was also found in contrast that PFPE did not show the initial seizure-like high friction but maintained a lower friction coefficient than 0.1 throughout the experiment. The initial high wear volume lubricated with the additive-free MAC was found to be related to the initial seizure-like high friction. By means of a well resolved high-temperature 1H NMR technique, the carbonization process of acenaphthylene as well as the hydrogen transfer from some model compounds and decant oil to anthracene and/or acenaphthylene have been studied. The hydrogen transfer reaction was found to take place in the liquid phase at temperatures above 630 K for the decant oil/anthracene system.  相似文献

Presented in this paper are the results of a series of column experiments and a pilot scale test conducted to develop the treatment system of freshwater and wastewater by their percolation through soil and the other materials at the rate of a few metres per day. Materials that had high ability to sorb fulvic acid (FA hereafter) and phosphate ion were selected based on the results of the batch sorption tests and were processed into beads before subjecting them to the column test. The results of the column experiment suggested that the reagents added to increase the strength of the beads reduced the sorption of FA, thus causing the early breakthrough of the FA injected into the column. Less effect from the bead processing was observed for the removal of phosphate ion. Pilot scale test showed that the removal of particulate fraction of phosphorus differed among the materials used. The bead processing technique that can ensure the high water permeability while maintaining the sorption capacity of the material was required for further development of the treatment system.  相似文献

Input queueing ATM switches requiring fast contentional resolution control have been negatively affected by long turn-around time (TAT) due to the distance between an input port controller and a centralised contention controller. A parallel contention resolution control for input queueing switches is presented. The proposed control allows a TAT of more than one cell slot, resulting in the potential development of a centralised contention controller for an ATM switch with an aggregate capacity of 1 Tbit/s.<>  相似文献
