The small subunit (SSU) and the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of nuclear ribosomal DNA genes from 27 specimens of the fungal genera Gremmeniella and Ascocalyx were amplified by PCR. Length polymorphisms were observed in the SSU and allowed the differentiation of four groups among the isolates tested: (i) Ascocalyx abietis; (ii) Gremmeniella isolates from Picea spp.; (iii) Gremmeniella isolates from Abies balsamea; and (iv) Gremmeniella isolates from Abies sacchalinensis, Larix spp., and Pinus spp. The amplified ITS was the same length for all Gremmeniella specimens and was 60 bp longer in A. abietis. Phylogenetic analysis of length polymorphisms and of 24 restriction sites in the SSU and ITS showed that Gremmeniella isolates were more related to each other than to the Ascocalyx isolate. Furthermore, seven groups were evident within the genus Gremmeniella. Our results confirm that Gremmeniella and Ascocalyx should be kept as different taxa and suggest that the taxonomy of the former could be revised to consider isolates from Abies balsamea and from Picea spp. to be two different varieties while incorporating Gremmeniella laricina into G. abietina, as a new variety. 相似文献

Summary Current texture-measuring instruments and a recently developed measuring method (two-dimensional measuring of the force necessary to spread a sample) were compared in measuring the spreadability of processed cheese. How far subjective assessment by a qualified panel correlates with the instrumental results in determining spreadability and firmness was also investigated. Samples of processed cheese with various consistencies were measured by an Universal testing machine, a buttermeasuring instrument (DIN 10331), a rotational-type rheometer (oscillation mode) and a two-dimensional force measuring instrument. The evaluation of the results shows that an oscillating rheometer is most suitable to measure the spreadability of processed cheese; the correlation coefficient (r) between the dynamic Weissenberg number, calculated from parameters of the rheometer, and the subjective judgement by the panel wasr=0.91. For the determination of firmness the two-dimensional force measuring instrument is most suitable. The correlation coefficient between the parameter tangential energy (S

Vergleich verschiedener Bestimmungsmethoden für die Streichfähigkeit und Festigkeit von Schmelzkäse
Zusammenfassung Verschiedene gebräuchliche Meßinstrumente und ein neu entwickeltes Gerät zur zweidimensionalen Messung der Kräfte, die zum Ausstreichen einer Probe erforderlich sind, wurden vergleichend zur Charakterisierung der Streichfähigkeit von Schmelzkäse erprobt. Dabei wurde auch geprüft, inwieweit die subjektiven Beurteilungen eines qualifizierten Prüferpanels mit den Meßwerten für Streichfähigkeit und Festigkeit korrelierten. Gemessen wurde mit einer Universalprüfmaschine, dem Butterprüfgerät (DIN 10331), einem Rotationsrheometer und mit dem zweidimensional registrierenden Kraftmeßgerät. Dabei zeigte sich, daß das Rheometer im oscillierenden Modus die Streichfähigkeit am besten zu charakterisieren vermag. Die Korrelation zwischen den Rheometerwerten, berechnet als dynamische Weissenbergzahl, und den sensorisch ermittelten Werten für die Streichfähigkeit betrugr=0,91. Zur Bestimmung der Festigkeit ist das zweidimensional registrierende Kraftmeßgerät am besten geeignet, was sich in einem Korrelationskoeffizienten vonr=0,95 zwischen dem ParameterS t und den im Sensoriktest ermittelten Werten für dieFestigkeit ausdrückt.相似文献

TIBER II is designed to be a minimum size and cost candidate for an international Engineering Test Reactor. High-current density Nb3Sn superconducting magnets with radiation-tolerant polymide insulation is combined with a minimum thickness tungsten inbored shield and a common, external vacuum boundary to minimize the inner radial build of the tokamak core. This results in a major radius of 3 m, compared to 5 m for previous ETR designs such as INTOR, with correspondingly lower costs expected. Activated carbon is a suitable adsorbent for removal of hydrogen sulphide from natural, synthesis or other product gases. The process depends predominantly on physical adsorption, though catalytic oxidation is also involved. During catalytic oxidation the H2S is converted in the presence of oxygen to elemental sulphur, which is adsorbed onto the internal surface of the activated carbon, thus leading to a sulphur load of up to 120% by weight. The oxidation rate depends on the partial pressure of both reactants, H2S and O2 and is largely controlled by the characteristics of the activated carbon. The activity of the catalyst can be improved by impregnating the activated carbon with promoters such as iron and iodine. The regeneration of spent carbon is currently carried out using hot gas desorption methods at temperatures around 450 °C. 相似文献

The effect of molecular architecture on the evolution of viscoelastic properties during crystallization was investigated using ethylene-hexene copolymers manufactured via metallocene (M-LLDPE) and Ziegler-Natta (ZN-LLDPE) processes. Differences in branching distribution were shown to have a drastic effect on the viscoelastic properties near the gel point. It is shown that the branching distribution rather than branch content is the determining parameter for the evolution of the rheological properties during isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization, and for the width of the solidification interval. We developed a partial melting technique for the preparation of stable critical gels of LLDPE whose viscoelastic properties correspond to the intermediate state between melt and solid. Local molecular conformation and crystallinity in these gels were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, which shows that the transition from melt-like to solid-like rheological behavior (physical gelation) in LLDPE occurs at a very low overall crystallinity of less than 5%. 相似文献

Renderings of animation sequences with physics‐based Monte Carlo light transport simulations are exceedingly costly to generate frame‐by‐frame, yet much of this computation is highly redundant due to the strong coherence in space, time and among samples. A promising approach pursued in prior work entails subsampling the sequence in space, time, and number of samples, followed by image‐based spatio‐temporal upsampling and denoising. These methods can provide significant performance gains, though major issues remain: firstly, in a multiple scattering simulation, the final pixel color is the composite of many different light transport phenomena, and this conflicting information causes artifacts in image‐based methods. Secondly, motion vectors are needed to establish correspondence between the pixels in different frames, but it is unclear how to obtain them for most kinds of light paths (e.g. an object seen through a curved glass panel). To reduce these ambiguities, we propose a general decomposition framework, where the final pixel color is separated into components corresponding to disjoint subsets of the space of light paths. Each component is accompanied by motion vectors and other auxiliary features such as reflectance and surface normals. The motion vectors of specular paths are computed using a temporal extension of manifold exploration and the remaining components use a specialized variant of optical flow. Our experiments show that this decomposition leads to significant improvements in three image‐based applications: denoising, spatial upsampling, and temporal interpolation. 相似文献

The life sciences have sprouted several popular and successful OMICS technologies that span all levels of biological information transfer. Ever since the start of the Human Genome Project, the then revolutionary idea to make all resulting data publicly available has been central to all of the efforts across OMICS technologies. As a result, a great variety of publicly available data repositories and resources is currently available to the research community. This widespread availability of data does come at the price of increased confusion on the part of the users, especially for those that see the OMICS technologies as tools to help unravel a larger biological or clinical question. We therefore provide a comprehensive overview of the available resources across OMICS fields, with a special emphasis on those databases that are relevant to the study of proteins. Additionally, we also describe various integrative systems that have been established, and highlight new developments in the field that can revolutionize the way in which live data integration is achieved over the internet. 相似文献
