When designing interior lighting effects, it is desirable to compare a variety of lighting designs involving different lighting devices and directions of light. It is, however, time-consuming to generate images with many different lighting parameters, taking interreflection into account, because all luminances must be calculated and recalculated. This makes it difficult to design lighting effects interactively. To address this problem, this paper proposes a method of quickly generating images of a given scene illustrating an interreflective environment illuminated by sources with arbitrary luminous intensity distributions. In the proposed method, the luminous intensity ditribution is expressed with basis functions. The proposed method uses a series of spherical harmonic functions as basis functions, and calculates in advance each intensity on surfaces lit by the light sources whose luminous intensity distribution are the same as the spherical harmonic functions. The proposed method makes it possible to generate images so quickly that we can change the luminous intensity distribution interactively. Combining the proposed method with an interactive walk-through that employs intensity mapping, an interactive system for lighting design is implemented. The usefulness of the proposed method is demonstrated by its application to interactive lighting design, where many images are generated by altering lighting devices and/or direction of light.  相似文献

This paper presents a buck-boost PWM power inverter and its application for the residential photovoltaic system. The PWM power inverter is realized by driving an inverter constructed with a high-frequency buck-boost chopper in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The photovoltaic system with the power inverter has the following advantages: (1) the power generated by the photovoltaic array can be transferred to the load and the utility line under any array voltage; (2) isolation between the photovoltaic array and the utility line is performed by a small high-frequency reactor operating as energy storage element; (3) there is no need of a reactor to link the utility line; (4) unity power factor operation is provided; and (5) the system configuration is very simple. the input-output characteristics of the system are analyzed. As a result, the ripple component of the array current and the power flow between the interface and the utility line are derived and verified experimentally.  相似文献

We have demonstrated a synthetic procedure for nano-sized NaNbO3 powder and its thin films using a carbon-free precursor prepared by the reaction of H2O2 with sodium and niobium alkoxides. A combination of X-ray powder diffraction, Raman spectra, and thermal gravity and differential thermal analysis, carbon analysis, fourier transform infrared spectra, transmission electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy was used to characterize the resulting materials and precursor compounds. Results show that this procedure demonstrates the major advantages of low-temperature synthesis (∼400°C) and low weight loss during transformation into NaNbO3 because of its carbon-free nature, which also provides the option of preparing nano-sized particles and dense, crack-free NaNbO3 thin films.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply a genetic algorithm to flowshop scheduling problems and examine two hybridizations of the genetic algorithm with other search algorithms. First we examine various genetic operators to design a genetic algorithm for the flowshop scheduling problem with an objective of minimizing the makespan. By computer simulations, we show that the two-point crossover and the shift change mutation are effective for this problem. Next we compare the genetic algorithm with other search algorithms such as local search, taboo search and simulated annealing. Computer simulations show that the genetic algorithm is a bit inferior to the others. In order to improve the performance of the genetic algorithm, we examine the hybridization of the genetic algorithms. We show two hybrid genetic algorithms: genetic local search and genetic simulated annealing. Their high performance is demonstrated by computer simulations.  相似文献

The effect of slurry flocculation on the characteristics of silicon nitride granules prepared by the spray drying process is investigated. The flocculation state of an aqueous silicon nitride slurry is controlled by adding nitric acid and evaluated as a function of pH. Dense and hard silicon nitride granules result from a well-dispersed slurry having a high pH (e.g., 10.8). These hard granules retain their shape in green compacts and form detrimental defects. Lowering the pH of the slurry to a certain value (e.g., pH 7.9) results in slurry flocculation. Granules prepared from this flocculated slurry have low density and low diametral compression strength and contribute to the elimination of large pores in green compacts.  相似文献

Addition of non-metallic elements such as N, P and S was examined to reduce the catalyst particle size of PtRu deposited on a carbon support and to improve the catalytic performance. It was found that the addition of N, P and S reduced the size of PtRu catalyst particle and that P was the most effective additive on the size reduction. A well dispersed PtRu catalyst particle 2 nm in size was obtained by the addition of P. The maximum power density was observed to be 64 mW/cm2 in a passive state of direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) at room temperature by using the PtRuP anode catalyst. The PtRuP catalyst retained the size independently with surface area of the carbon support. This made it possible to use a carbon support with low surface area (lower porosity), resulting in better accessibility by molecules on the noble metal particles which were deposited prior to the external surface in compared to the micropore walls. The maximum power density was improved from 44 to 64 mW/cm2 by using a less porous carbon support (140 m2/g).  相似文献

Since the successful demonstration of a blue light-emitting diode (LED), potential materials for making short-wavelength LEDs and diode lasers have been attracting increasing interest as the demands for display, illumination and information storage grow. Zinc oxide has substantial advantages including large exciton binding energy, as demonstrated by efficient excitonic lasing on optical excitation. Several groups have postulated the use of p-type ZnO doped with nitrogen, arsenic or phosphorus, and even p-n junctions. However, the choice of dopant and growth technique remains controversial and the reliability of p-type ZnO is still under debate. If ZnO is ever to produce long-lasting and robust devices, the quality of epitaxial layers has to be improved as has been the protocol in other compound semiconductors. Here we report high-quality undoped films with electron mobility exceeding that in the bulk. We have used a new technique to fabricate p-type ZnO reproducibly. Violet electroluminescence from homostructural p-i-n junctions is demonstrated at room-temperature.  相似文献
