1,000 m2/g and pore sizes in the nanometre range) with two types of organic functionalities (benzene and ethane bridges, respectively)
inside microstructured channels (each 200 μm wide and 100 μm deep) and, exemplarily, monitored by Raman microscopy (Raman
spectroscopy through microscope optics) that the temperature characteristics of the adsorption–desorption equilibria of benzene
and ethanol vary significantly with the type of organic functionality of the microspheres and the pore morphology. The integration
of this class of nanostructured material into devices by means of microchannels is a promising novel approach to, among others,

Encapsulation of dry superplasticizers in matrix‐based encapsulation systems was investigated. As basic material, commercially available fly ash was granulated by high‐shear agglomeration. Due to a high variability of factors affecting the encapsulation process and later release of admixtures, the design‐of‐experiments method was applied to reduce the quantity of experiments. Statistical evaluation indicates that the particle characteristics of the agglomerates were mostly influenced by the binder viscosity during the investigations. The delayed admixture release was enhanced by high binder viscosity and low energy input during the agglomeration process due to a coating of the bigger superplasticizer particles by the smaller fly ash. These results will help to develop encapsulated construction chemicals with controlled admixture delivery for the future application in a wide range of different building materials. 相似文献
Polymeric nanomaterials are gaining increased interest in medical applications due to the sustained release of bioactive agents. Within this study nanomaterials are fabricated using laser ablation of silver and copper in polymer‐doped organic liquids thus allowing to produce customized drug release systems. A strategy is shown to determine the therapeutic window for cells relevant for cochlear implant electrodes, defined by the viability of L929 fibroblasts, PC12 neuronal cells, and spiral ganglion cells on different concentrations of silver and copper ions. The distribution of nanoparticles within the silicone polymer matrix is determined using transmission electron microscopy. Hexane doped with 1% silicone resin is found to be an appropriate liquid matrix to fabricate a nanocomposite with a constant ion release rate. Silver ions of 10 µmol L?1 or copper ions of 100 µmol L?1 cause a suppression of tissue growth without inhibiting neuronal cell growth. The copper nanoparticle content of 0.1 wt% of the silicone composite releases ion concentrations which fit the therapeutic window. 相似文献
The recycling of homogeneous metathesis catalysts is a big challenge in alkene metathesis. Within this contribution the recycling of these catalysts is investigated in the cross metathesis of methyl oleate and 4‐octene as model reaction. Fluid‐fluid separation technique and temperature dependent solvent systems allow the separation of the homogeneously solved catalysts from the metathesis products. The catalyst phase was successfully recycled in multiple recycling runs only with minor loss of yield. 相似文献
Polymer/organic optoelectronic devices have drawn the attention of both the academic and industrial research communities due to the potential for a low-cost, large-area, solution-processable technology alternative to conventional inorganic optoelectronics. Issues related to the stability and degradation of the organic/polymer-based optoelectronics are hampering the progress in the field. The use of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT : PSS) as the anode and reactive metals as the cathode, as well as the degradation of organic semiconductors in ambient atmosphere, are some of the stability issues to be addressed. To resolve these issues, in the past decade, there has been a growing interest in research of hybrid optoelectronic devices which employ metal oxides as air-stable charge injecting/extracting layers that sandwich the photo-responsive organic active layer and protect it from the ambient oxygen and moisture and prevent photo-oxidation by absorbing UV light. Herein, we review the recent advances made in hybrid optoelectronics and discuss the tremendous potential of these devices. 相似文献
Mg-doped SrTio3 thick film sensors fabricated by screen-printing proved to be very promising for the use as oxygen sensors. A study of the influence of water on the response of these sensors gives an important basis for understanding their behavior in practical applications. The influence of water on the sensor response was measured in the oxygen partial pressure region from air (0.21 bar) to pure N2 (2.5 × 10–5)and the temperature range from 600 to 800°C. The relative humidity was varied from 1 to 95% RH. The resistance variation as a function of temperature and the activation energy were evaluated under different dry and wet conditions. The results obtained show that the resistance of these sensors generally decreases with increasing water content in the carrier gas and that the effect of water was strongest at lower temperatures as well as at lower oxygen pressures. To explain this behavior, it is proposed that a partial proton conduction is introduced in the water-containing atmospheres and that this contributes to the total conductivity leading to a reduction of the total resistance. Finally, the measurements also show that the response of these sensors still depends on the oxygen partial pressure according to the standard expression even in the presence of water vapor. Therefore, these sensors can still be used as oxygen sensors in humid atmospheres. 相似文献
OBJECTIVES: High levels of n-3 fatty acids and other nutrients in traditional Inuit food appear to provide some protection against the typical diseases of affluent industrialized societies: cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. An increased intake of imported food among Inuits will probably increase their frequency of these diseases. However, since the 1970s it has become evident that the marine-based Inuit diet also contains high levels of potentially toxic lipophilic organic pollutants and heavy metals. Since these two food related opposing health effects appear to be inseparable, the phenomenon has been known as "The Arctic Dilemma". However, both the fatty acid composition and the contaminant levels vary in Greenlandic food items. Thus in principle it is possible to compose a diet where the benefits and risks are better balanced. Our objectives of this study were to compare traditional and modern meals in Greenland concerning the dietary composition, nutrients, and health indicators among the consumers. STUDY DESIGN: The present study was a cross-sectional dietary survey as part of the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment, Human Health Programme (AMAP). These results were compared with older dietary surveys in Greenland. METHODS: Dietary components, fatty acids, and nutrients in 90 local meals collected by duplicate portion method in Uummannaq town, north Greenland 2004 and in Narsaq, south Greenland 2006, were compared with 177 duplicate meals sampled in the village of Igdslorsuit, Uummannaq, district, 1976 and also compared with other dietary studies in Greenland 1953-1987. Anthropometric measures (weight, height, and body mass index, BMI) and blood lipids were measured as health indicators among the participants. RESULTS: Between the traditional foods sampled or analysed 30-50 years ago and the modern food from 2004 to 2006, significant differences were found in the dietary composition. The percentage of local food had decreased, to a present average of about 20% and with it the dietary content of n-3 fatty acids. Also, the intakes of many vitamins and minerals had decreased, and were below Nordic Nutrient Recommendations in 2004 and 2006. Vitamin A, B(1), (B(2)), B(12), iron, iodine, phosphorus, and selenium contents were correlated with n-3 content, whereas vitamin C, folate, and calcium contents were not and the same time very low. In the traditional food, especially from the villages, the intakes of vitamin A, vitamin D, and iron were extremely high and borderline toxic. The levels of contaminants such as organochlorins and heavy metals were also strongly correlated with the relative content of local food in the diet. The best balance between potentially beneficial and harmful substances was found for 20-30% local food, corresponding to a daily intake of 3-5 g of n-3 fatty acids. Body weight, height, body mass index (BMI), cholesterol, and S-triglycerides had increased significantly between 1976 and 2004. CONCLUSION: The dietary changes to a more western fare were found to be negative resulting in less adequate nutrient coverage but at the same time lower contaminant load. Thus, we recommend not to increase the consumption of local products beyond the present level but rather to improve the quality of the imported food. 相似文献
Increased demand for certified organic products has led to an increase in the number of certified organic farms in developing
countries. Knowledge of farmer nutrient management practices on certified organic farms in developing countries is limited.
Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the adoption of certified organic agriculture on farm nutrient
flows and nutrient budgets, and evaluate to which degree organic farms comply with organic principles relating to nutrient
management. The study is based on five case studies of different types of certified organic farming systems in Brazil, Egypt
and China. Farm nutrient flows and nutrient budgets for nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium were created for each farm. Four
of the five organic systems studied had nutrient surpluses on the farm budget. The surpluses were of varying magnitude. The
main difference between organic and non-organic farm nutrient flows was the replacement of mineral fertilizers with organic
inputs. However, the magnitude of nutrient flows were generally similar for organic and non-organic farms. Certified organic
farms with positive nutrient budgets had a heavy reliance on external inputs. Continued high dependence on an external supply
of nutrients, which typically originate from mineral sources, poses a significant challenge to organic farmers’ fulfilment

Ambipolar OFETs with balanced hole and electron field-effect mobilities both exceeding 1 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1) are achieved based on a single-solution-processed conjugated polymer, DPPT-TT, upon careful optimization of the device architecture, charge injection, and polymer processing. Such high-performance OFETs are promising for applications in ambipolar devices and integrated circuits, as well as model systems for fundamental studies. 相似文献
