This short review reports the three dimensional structure analysis of oxide-supported metal species and the origin of the metal-support interaction, using single crystal oxide surfaces and polarization-dependent total-reflection X-ray absorption fine structure (PTRF-XAFS) method. The PTRF-XAFS revealed that metal species interact strongly with oxygen anions of oxide surfaces and that surface pre-modification is a promising way to stabilize the surface monoatomic species of easily-aggregating Cu and Au and to prepare finely-tuned surface metal–organic species with regulated molecular structures and orientations. 相似文献

Spin‐on perhydropolysilazane (PHPS) thin films were converted into mechanically hard silica thin films by an exposure to the vapor from aqueous ammonia. Infrared absorption and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopic analyses were conducted to clarify the details of the PHPS‐to‐silica conversion and the nature of the silica thin film products. The PHPS‐to‐silica conversion was found to proceed rapidly between 2 and 3 h of exposure via a reaction‐limited process, where the refractive index and the pencil hardness greatly decreased and increased, respectively. Finally, the O/Si mole ratio close to 2 was achieved, which has never been realized in literature for PHPS‐derived silica thin films. It was also found that the condensation of Si–OH groups proceeds in films immediately after PHPS hydrolysis, which is similar to the base‐catalyzed hydrolysis–condensation reaction of silicon alkoxides. Although the silica thin films obtained had refractive indices similar to that of silica glass, high pencil hardness over 9H on Si(100) substrates, and O/Si mole ratios close to 2, it was concluded that they are nonidentical to silica glass, containing trace amounts of Si–OH and Si–H groups. 相似文献

This paper presents a new Monte Carlo method to estimate the reliability of a large complex system represented by a reliability block diagram or by a fault tree. Two binary functions are introduced; one dominates the system structure function and the other is dominated by the structure function. These functions can be constructed easily by using part of path sets and cut sets of the system. Through the use of these binary functions, two variance-reducing techniques (control variate and importance sampling) are applied to the Monte Carlo evaluation of the system reliability. We prove that the new Monte Carlo method gives a reliability estimate with a smaller variance than that of the crude Monte Carlo method. 相似文献

We demonstrate a semitransparent organic photovoltaic (OPV) cell with two transparent electrodes: a multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) sheet and a Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) are used as a transparent anode and cathode, respectively. As an active layer, we used a bulk heterojunction structure with poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). The photovoltaic cell has a GZO/P3HT:PCBM/poly(3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)/MWCNT/PEDOT:PSS structure. For comparison, an OPV cell with a MWCNT-sheet anode and an indium tin oxide (ITO) cathode were also fabricated. The OPV cell with the GZO cathode showed better performance than that with the ITO cathode, owing to the lower work function of the former. The semitransparent OPV cell with GZO cathode demonstrated a short-circuit current of 3.4 mA/cm2, open-circuit voltage of 0.51 V, and efficiency of 0.45%. 相似文献

Using Raman spectroscopy in addition to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, we have clarified the deteriorated components of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) module after the longest durability test in the world under outdoor working condition for ~2.5 years. It was confirmed that the N719 dye-adsorbed TiO2 electrode and carbon counter electrode were almost stable; therefore, the photocurrent (Jsc) was maintained during the outdoor working. The photovoltages (Voc) and the filling factors (FF) slightly decreased due to the increase of the Nernst diffusion impedance of triiodide (I3?), resulting from the change of the components in the electrolyte. 相似文献

Sintering behavior of Pt/γ-Al2O3, Pt/ZrO2 and Pt/CeO2 catalyst was studied using an originally developed 3D sintering simulator. Experimental results were well reproduced. While Pt on the γ-Al2O3 sintered significantly, Pt on CeO2 presented the highest stability against sintering. A ruthenium complex was found to catalyze the hydrogen reduction of esters under mild and neutral conditions. A variety of optically active esters can be reduced to the corresponding alcohols in excellent yield without loss of their optical purity or causing undesirable side reactions. Hydrogen reduction needs such simple operations – reaction, concentration, and purification – that the violent quench step and extraction step, which accompany conventional sodium borohydride or lithium aluminum hydride reduction, can be omitted. 相似文献
