Probabilistic fuel pin gap distributions within a wire-spaced fuel subassembly and sensitivities of the related uncertainties to fuel pin gaps are discussed. The analyses consist mainly of expressing a local fuel pin gap in terms of sensitivity functions of the related uncertainties and calculating the corresponding probabilistic distribution through taking all the possible combinations of the distribution of uncertainties. The results of illustrative calculations show that with the reliability level of 0.9987, the maximum deviation of the pin gap at the cladding hot spot of a center fuel subassembly is 8.05% from its nominal value and the corresponding probabilistic pin gap distribution is shifted to the narrower side due to the external confinement of a pin bundle with a wrapper tube. 相似文献

A petroleum vacuum residue was thermally treated at 430 °C, with continuous addition of phenol to either the vapour phase or the liquid phase of the reacting system. Addition of phenol to the vapour phase increased the yield of the cracked oil and the fixed carbon of the residual pitch. When phenol was charged to the liquid phase, the yield of the oil remained unchanged, but the amount of the benzeneinsoluble matter in the pitch decreased, probably owing to the inhibition by phenol of the polymerization-condensation reactions of aromatic compounds. In both additions the cracked oil had a higher boiling point than that produced without phenol. Substitution of phenol with methyl groups increased the extent of cracking and coking properties (Roga Index) of the pitch. The effective order of phenol and its derivatives is: Phenol < m-Cresol < o-Cresol < p-Cresol < 2, 4-Dimethylphenol < 2, 6-Dimethylphenol < 2, 4, 6-Trimethylphenol Polyhydric phenol, e.g. catechol, and naphthol also enhanced the cracking reactivity of the residue. 相似文献

A 44-year-old woman with stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) of the left ovary is described. She had an extended hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-ophorectomy and thereafter received six courses of combination chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide, adriamycin, vincristine and predonisolone; CHOP). Glucosamine (GlcN) is commonly used as a dietary supplement to promote cartilage health in humans. We previously reported that GlcN could induce autophagy in cultured mammalian cells. Autophagy is known to be involved in the prevention of various diseases and aging. Here, we showed that GlcN extended the lifespan of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans by inducing autophagy. Autophagy induction by GlcN was demonstrated by western blotting for LGG-1 (an ortholog of mammalian LC3) and by detecting autophagosomal dots in seam cells by fluorescence microscopy. Lifespan assays revealed that GlcN-induced lifespan extension was achieved with at least 5 mM GlcN. A maximum lifespan extension of approximately 30 % was achieved with 20 mM GlcN (p<0.0001). GlcN-induced lifespan extension was not dependent on the longevity genes daf-16 and sir-2.1 but dependent on the autophagy-essential gene atg-18. Therefore, we suggest that oral administration of GlcN could help delay the aging process via autophagy induction. 相似文献

长久以来,北海道产大米的食味口碑一直不高,也未出现像“越光”一样全日本知名的优良食味品种,因此,自1980年开始历时28年,北海道立(现称道总研)农业试验场致力于粳稻优良食味品种快速研究项目的实施。为实现快速研发的目标,通过世代促进栽培法和花药培养法成功缩短了育种年限;采用扩大育种规模的方式,并利用优良食味、耐寒性等内外部有效基因培育兼具优良食味及早熟耐寒性的品种;初期世代开始主要通过分析大米的蛋白质含量、尤其是直链淀粉含量,中间世代则通过少量蒸饭的方式进行食味品鉴,选育出优良食味种系。在食味遗传基因的改良方面,先是集聚北海道优良食味的遗传基因培育出品种“雪光”,再经由北海道品种引进“越光”的优良食味遗传基因,之后以日本东北优良食味遗传基因品种“秋田小町”作为直接杂交母本,分别成功培育出品种“闪光397”和“星之梦”,其直链淀粉含量与以往多肥多产品种的22%相比降低了2%。在此基础之上,引进美国品种“国宝玫瑰”优良食味遗传基因的品种“七星”成功问世,其直链淀粉含量又降低了1%;以变异低直链淀粉种系“北海287号”为母本,成功培育出“梦美”,其直链淀粉含量15%~16%,粘度和软度俱佳,食味亦可与“越光”媲美。 相似文献

Peptides from the N-terminal end of bovine lactoferrin induce apoptosis in human leukemic (HL-60) cells 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
To determine the effects of the multifunctional iron-binding glycoprotein, lactoferrin (LF) and related compounds on the growth of leukemic cells, human myeloid leukemic cells (HL-60) were exposed to bovine lactoferrin (bLF) and proteolytic hydrolysates of bLF. Pepsin hydrolysates of bLF showed a greater growth suppressive effect than tryptic hydrolysates or mature bLF. Four peptides with proliferation inhibition activity were purified from pepsin hydrolysates by ion-exchange chromatography, reverse-phase HPLC, and gel-filtration. All peptides were from the N-terminal end, in a region where lactoferricin B (Lfcin B), an antibacterial peptide, is located. Among the four peptides, peptide 1 (pep1) was found to exhibit highest activity and corresponded to residues 17 to 38 of bLF, with a molecular weight of 2753.88. The IC50 value of this peptide was 6.3 micrograms/ml. Three other peptides were less active and corresponded to sequences 1 to 16 and 45 to 48, linked by disulfide-bridge (pep2, molecular mass of 2430.13), 1 to 15 and 45 to 46 linked by disulfide bridge (pep3, molecular mass of 2017,92) and from residues 1 to 13 (pep4, molecular mass of 1558.73). Cell proliferation inhibition activity of the peptides was thought to be due to induction of apoptosis, which was evaluated by DNA ladder formation, DNA fragmentation, enhanced expression of phosphatidyl serine, and morphological changes. The IC50 values of the three peptides were confirmed using synthetic peptides and were consistent with those of purified peptides. 相似文献
