The effect of residual stress on the fracture of chemically strengthened thin aluminosilicate glass was investigated. The large deflection problem on the flexure of thin chemically strengthened glass was solved through finite element analysis. The relationship among compressive stress (CS), central tension (CT), and the modulus of rupture of chemically strengthened thin glass was also discussed. High CS and low CT improved the flexural strength of chemically strengthened glass. However, the effect of residual stress was more complex on Weibull modulus than on strength. The effect of residual stress on the fractography of chemically strengthened thin glass was analyzed. Transparent and opaque zones were observed on the fracture surface of chemically strengthened glass. The relative thickness of the opaque zone (d Opaque/d 0), which is a constant in the same fracture zone, linearly decreased with increasing fracture zone. This result indicates that the stored elastic strain energy was released with the number of transverse cracks. These results provide useful information on the failure analysis of chemically strengthened thin glass.  相似文献

In this paper, using a more general Lyapunov function, less conservative sum‐of‐squares (SOS) stability conditions for polynomial‐fuzzy‐model‐based tracking control systems are derived. In tracking control problems the objective is to drive the system states of a nonlinear plant to follow the system states of a given reference model. A state feedback polynomial fuzzy controller is employed to achieve this goal. The tracking control design is formulated as an SOS optimization problem. Here, unlike previous SOS‐based tracking control approaches, a full‐state‐dependent Lyapunov matrix is used, which reduces the conservatism of the stability criteria. Furthermore, the SOS conditions are derived to guarantee the system stability subject to a given H performance. The proposed method is applied to the pitch‐axis autopilot design problem of a high‐agile tail‐controlled pursuit and another numerical example to demonstrate the effectiveness and benefits of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, wave propagation in fluid-conveying double-walled carbon nanotube (DWCNT) was investigated by using the nonlocal strain gradient theory. In so doing, the shear deformable shell theory was used, taking into consideration nonlocal and material length scale parameters. The effect of van der Waals force between the two intended walls and the DWCNT surroundings was modeled as Winkler foundation. The classical governing equations were derived from Hamilton’s principle. Results were validated by comparing them to the results of the references obtained through molecular dynamic method, and a remarkable consistency was found between the results. According to the findings, the effects of nonlocal and material length scale parameters, wave number, fluid velocity and stiffness of elastic foundation are more considerable in the nonlocal strain gradient theory than in classical theory.  相似文献

This work presents the fabrication of magnetic field microsensors based on the magneto-impedance phenomenon and dedicated to NDC applications. The multilayer structure, ferromagnetic/conductive/ferromagnetic, is composed of a copper layer sandwiched with two Finemet? alloy films. The later, initially an amorphous material, is nanocrystallized by heat treatment. The fabrication process has been optimized in order to minimize coercivity and induce transversal anisotropy. The technological defects induced by the lift-off and sputtering processes change the magneto-impedance properties of the sensors. Eliminating these defects permits the sensor to reach to a sensitivity of 1,200 V/T/A at 30 MHz with a bias field larger than the anisotropy field and without hysteresis. The angular dependence of the sensitivity shows that the sensor is only sensitive to the axial component of the magnetic field.  相似文献

Using a mixture of n-decane and hydrogen, diamond-like carbon thin films (DLCTFs) with high growth rate of 35?nm/min are deposited by radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. We show that n-decane can be considered as a promising carbon source in DLCTF deposition. The properties of the deposited films such as structure, hydrogen content, deposition rate and refractive index are studied for 20, 50 and 100?sccm hydrogen flow rates (HFRs). It is shown that the deposition rate has a maximum of 35?nm/min for HFR?=?20?sccm and by increasing hydrogen concentration, deposition rate drops to 19?nm/min for HFR?=?100?sccm. The Raman spectra reveal that the films represent hydrogenated diamond-like carbon features. The photoluminescence background of the Raman spectra is used as a measure for hydrogen content of the films. The hydrogen content varies from 29 to 46% which yields a various amount of sp3 fraction. The results of the spectroscopic ellipsometry indicate that by increasing HFR, refractive index decreases from 2.1 to 1.9 at 632?nm. The aforementioned trends are attributed to the increase of hydrogen content in DLCTFs which is in very good agreement with enhancing of the photoluminescence background of the Raman spectra.  相似文献

Due to the current fossil fuel crisis and associated adverse environmental impacts, renewable energy sources (RES) have drawn interest as alternatives to fossil fuels for powering water desalination systems. Over the last few decades the utility of renewable energy sources such as solar, geothermal, and wind to run desalination processes has been explored. However, the expansion of these technologies to larger scales is hampered by techno-economic and thermo-economic challenges. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art in the field of renewable energy-powered thermal desalination systems (RE-PTD) to compare their productivity and efficiency through thermodynamic, economic, and environmental analyses. We performed a comparative study using published data to classify RE-PTD systems technologies on the basis of the energy collection systems that they use. Among RE-PTD systems, solar energy powered-thermal desalination systems demonstrate high thermo-environ-economic efficiency to produce fresh water to meet various scales of demand.  相似文献

In the present study, a magnetic niosomal nanocarrier for co-delivery of curcumin and letrozole into breast cancer cells has been designed. The magnetic NiCoFe2O4 core was coated by a thin layer of silica, followed by a niosomal structure, allowing us to load letrozole and curcumin into the silica layer and niosomal layer, respectively, and investigate their synergic effects on breast cancer cells. Furthermore, the nanocarriers demonstrated a pH-dependent release due to the niosomal structure at their outer layer, which is a promising behavior for cancer treatment. Additionally, cellular assays revealed that the nanocarriers had low cellular uptake in the case of non-tumorigenic cells (i.e., MCF-10A) and related high viability but high cellular uptake in cancer cell lines (i.e., MDA-MB-231 and SK-BR-3) and related low viability, which is evidenced in their high cytotoxicity against different breast cancer cell lines. The cytotoxicity of the letrozole/curcumin co-loaded nanocarrier is higher than that of the aqueous solutions of both drugs, indicating their enhanced cellular uptake in their encapsulated states. In particular, NiCoFe2O4@L-Silica-L@C-Niosome showed the highest cytotoxicity effects on MDA-MB-231 and SK-BR-3 breast cancer cells. The observed cytotoxicity was due to regulation of the expression levels of the studied genes in breast cancer cells, where downregulation was observed for the Bcl-2, MMP 2, MMP 9, cyclin D, and cyclin E genes while upregulation of the expression of the Bax, caspase-3, and caspase-9 genes was observed. The flow cytometry results also revealed that NiCoFe2O4@L-Silica-L@C-Niosome enhanced the apoptosis rate in both MDA-MB-231 and SK-BR-3 cells compared to the control samples. The findings of our research show the potential of designing magnetic niosomal formulations for simultaneous targeted delivery of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic drugs into cancer cells in order to enhance their synergic chemotherapeutic effects. These results could open new avenues into the future of nanomedicine and the development of theranostic agents.  相似文献

Particle resuspension from flooring is an important source of air pollution in the indoor environment. In this work, resuspension of monolayer, polydisperse, irregularly shaped dust particles from various types of floorings was studied via a series of wind tunnel experiments. The range of free-stream velocity needed for resuspension of dust particles was evaluated as a function of particle size and material of particles and surfaces. In addition, a Monte Carlo simulation for predicting the resuspension of dust particles was developed. The resuspension model took into account the effects of particle irregularity, particle surface roughness, and flow characteristics. The dust particle resuspension from different floorings for several particle sizes was evaluated. The model predictions for resuspension fractions were compared with the experimental data and good agreement was observed. The study provided information on the role of airflow velocity on irregular dust particle resuspension from common floorings.  相似文献

In the present study, multilayered Cr–N/Cr–Al–N coatings were prepared by cathodic arc physical vapor deposition (PVD) with different numbers of layers and the same total thickness on AISI 630 steel in an attempt to improve the wear and erosion–corrosion resistance. Structural analysis of the coatings was performed by field scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and energy-dispersive spectroscopy. Depth profiles and roughness parameters of worn surfaces were calculated after erosion and wear tests. XRD indicated that nitride compounds were formed in multilayer coatings by PVD. The Cr–N/Cr–Al–N coating exhibited superior corrosion resistance compared with AISI 630 substrate. The erosion–corrosion results revealed that the smoothest wear track with the minimum erosion rate and wear depth was obtained for five- and seven-layered coatings. The failure mechanism of the bare substrate was influenced by plastic deformation via cutting and plowing, while the failure mechanism for coated samples was chipping and delamination. According to the wear results, the multilayer coatings showed a lower friction coefficient and better surface morphology that demonstrated their high ability for wear protection.  相似文献

(Hf1-xZrx)B2 solid solution powders were synthesized by two methods. First, solution-based processing of HfCl4, ZrCl4, sucrose, and H3BO3 was conducted followed by heat treatment in Argon to carry out the carbothermal reduction (CTR) reaction to form the diboride powders. Alternatively, in the so-called borohydride reduction (BHR) method, HfCl4, ZrCl4 and NaBH4 were mixed in an Argon glove box followed by heat treatment in Argon at 700?1500 °C. The synthesized powders were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, and TGA, and the influence of different parameters such as starting composition, heat treatment temperature and time on products characteristics were revealed. Both CTR and BHR solid solution powders were then consolidated within ~5 min in a homemade flash sintering (FS) setup. The composition, microstructure, hardness, and thermal-oxidation properties of flash sintered ceramics were characterized, and the implication of this study and directions for future research were discussed.  相似文献
